Went in for a recheck on my dogs paw to see if she needed a biopsy tank to get an estimate. They brought her back out and didn't say anything. So I asked what was happening the tech said "I dont know, I forgot" so I asked if we were doing a biopsy , and she said yes, so I asked about the price because that was the whole reason we did the recheck was so I could get an estimate. So she went to see if the doctor could write one for me, then all of a sudden the doctor was too busy to do this. So they said they would call me when they got it, but I never heard from them. This was a week ago at this point. The most unprofessional place I have ever been too. They are awful and have no idea what they are doing. I will never go back and I will tell everyone I know to not go here.

Our dog had an ear infection and as a matter of practice they schedule a free re- exam. His ear infection hadn't cleared up yet so they scheduled another free re-exam. This alone saved us hundreds of dollars and saved our dog from having to suffer through having his ear infection getting really bad again.

This is an amazing vet. My family has used them for close to two decades and always had a great experience. Truly passionate staff who care about animals.

Let me preface this the fact that I've been in retail customer service for 23 years-the last 10+ in HR for a major retailer. I know good customer service and I understand people and their interactions. Dr. Vaughn, is an opinionated bully who lacks compassion and the ability to see other valid points of view. This alone makes her a challenge to work with as a patient (for my pets) and for their owners/guardians. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats. Of which she had seen our senior dog and 2 cats. She had not seen one of our recent dog additions because he is utd on his shots. Our newest pup (4.5 months) had his first appointment there this past week. Our new pup was a rehome on CL at 4 months. His breed is hyper, prey driven and vocal. He had not been socialized properly (family with 3 young kids and it was too much). We could tell at the exchange that her kids were pretty hyper and loud (they screamed and yelled the entire time with no parental correction). We could tell that the pup was likely only taken outside to eliminate and likely had not been around many people or pets. His only caveat we have experienced is he gets excited/anxious when he sees people. We've done an appropriate amount of socialization since getting him (people coming over, us going places-friends houses, drive through etc). Dr. Vaughn said that he was healthy with no fleas and allowed her to manipulate all parts of his body. Then she said, "Let's talk behavioral stuff." She basically said she has never seen a dog react so much (barking) and that he shows major fear of people and likely other pets. And that fear could lead to aggression and biting. And that she highly recommended a dog behaviorist and intensive training and therapy. Then she asked where we got him and when. She then said that she suspected he was abused. Now, while I could appreciate and consider her concern (I don't know the first family so....) I countered her with, what I mentioned above-"Could it be excitement mixed maybe with some anxiety? Then I told her how she had not met our other dog (who is 3 and playful and a calm breed). I told her what I observed from the previous families interactions. That it was likely not trained at all on commands, nothing had been asked of the pup and he had not been socialized. But that he was already bonded and playful and resources sharing with our other non senior dog. I mean, those are pretty valid questions I think. She basically assumed the worst, that he had been abused and would turn violent. And when I asked legitimate questions she said "well I can't make any assumptions"-well actually she did. She made the assumption that he was abused. Which I don't think he was at all. This clearly annoyed her as I am very well versed in verbal debate (HR career people are verbal slayers). She then literally says, "Well, I don't know, maybe he's just one of those dogs that was born with a screw loose." That was it for me. I have a human son, who was born early, and spend 3 months in the NICU. I find any comment like about any human or animal birth is in poor taste. He's a puppy for Christ sakes. He's a happy, outgoing pup who wants to please and who had nothing asked of him the first part of his life. He was cute to look at and that's it. So he's got some training to do. And we have the skills to do so. But she made us feel like he will be a vicious child biter or he's retarded. And that's not ok. It's also not ok that she assumes the worst and then tries to pull you down that rabbit hole of fear for your pet so she can "recommend" great behavioral therapist etc. there is clearly an agenda for her and her practice and she does not do well it seems with any animal who is not "perfect" and will berate you and minimize your points if you are willing enough to verbally debate her. It's a relationship and she seems to want to burn them all. Bye Canyon Park Vet. Do better.

We have been using Canyon Park Veterinary since 1995! Cookie, Felix, Benvolio and now Cocoa Puff and Kitt Kat. Dr. Vaughn and her staff have always provided sound advice, professional care and empathy for our kitties.

Caring staff members and excellent prices. We just had our pup neutered here and have no complaints. They even provided us with medication and a cone, which really helped with our dog’s recovery. Our family members stated that their vets didn’t provide any of this after neutering/spaying, so this reassured us that we made the right vet choice for our dog.

I love this veterinary clinic! I have a very aggressive Rottweiler who walks in calm as can be. She had reconstructive knee surgery a few months ago and their follow-up care has been superb I wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else if this place is still an option.

By far one of the most caring and attentive vets I've taken a pet to. They really take the time to explain what is going on, why it may have happened, and what they can do to help, plus they go above and beyond with after care and questions. I called with an emergency issue after calling about 5 other vets who all said they were too busy. Canyon Park was booked as well but listened to my issue and made room to help a pup in need. I am so grateful for everything they did for me and my dog.

I just had a horrific experience with this vet. I have used this location for my cats and dog for years. I have an 18 yr old cat that was traumatized by a cat carrier experience so I bring him in a harness with a leash. The same as you would for a dog. My cat, once in the car and in his harness turns in to a statue. He doesn’t meow or move. He is the same way for the technicians when they do anything to him. I just took him down for a nail trim. They said they wanted him in a carrier. I explained why I don’t do that and the husband of the owner of the business had told me to let them know that my cat did not need a carrier. I told her that. Reluctantly she took my cat. You can imagine my reaction when she brought him back to me in a carrier. That to me is abuse. I gave them my reasons and with a leash on him wrapped in his blanket at 10 lbs there is no reason they should have been worried he would run away and get hit by a car. I called and spoke with the owner and told her how upset I was. I told her what her husband had told me. She said she over rules her husband and crates are their policy. I will never take my cat there again. I feel sorry for the staff there. The other vet is sweet and soft spoken but the owner has horrific manners and is a very poor business woman and in my opinion was abusive to my cat. If you love your animals, do not take them here.

My wife took our dog in who is pregnant. Dr. Vaughn acted like we were running a puppy mill and shamed us for not fixing her dog pretty much upset my wife to the point of calling me at work and told me not to call this lady to ream her. we are there to get her dog checked out and make sure the pregnancy is going good not to hear her remarks on what she thinks of us as owners. Some of the remarks made I hope the labor goes horrible so then you have to pay for the anesthesia and you guys won’t make any money second remark so probably have the dogs at night time but she’ll probably roll over and kill the puppies. Third and last remark was you should get her fixed at the same time but it’ll make her milk go bad so that her puppies will die. It’s a good thing you dealt with my wife and not me

I felt not listened to by my regular Veterinarian so I tried Canyon Park Vet. Dr Vaughn didn't dictate what our cats needed but listened to my concerns. All 3 of our cats will go there now.

I was unable to get an appt, which was fine. The part that was terrible was their receptionist and her terrible and curt attitude.

I had a very hard time finding a vet that would get my dog in for an urgent visit and I called Canyon Park Vet and they got me in the very next morning. I am so thankful because my little girl had an infected cyst that needed to be taken care of ASAP. I thought they would have just looked at her and had her back for treatment but they did everything at the first visit. Everyone I dealt with were wonderful. Thank you so much for taking care of my girl! Will definitely be back for all of her visits.

Very dissatisfied with daycare service. The doctor treated our dog even without asking us and charged for it. We felt almost threatened by her saying that our dog is dehydrated and need more treatment (getting medicine, change food, IV, hospitalize etc) because the dog is not drinking water, reacting hurt on belly, and a little bit of diarreah. She said if we don't allow further treatment, we would need to take the dog back home RIGHT AWAY because she doesn't want our dog in her facility, otherwise she has to do further treatments (and of course charge for it) though she acknowledged that it was not any kind of emergency or dangerous situation. We were out of state, so we had to ask our friends to pick the dog up. After my friend picking up my dog, my dog urinated a lot and became very normal and active. We ended up paying $230 dollars for what she already did (again without asking us), but we avoided paying $300 more. Maybe what she did is the right course of action. I don't know, but the way she handled it was not professional as a service provider. I will never go to this place again.

I've taken all of my pets here the last 10 years. They've saved 2 of my dogs lives at different points in time. They are friendly, reliable, fairly priced, and they know their stuff. Highly recommend. Wouldn't take my babies anywhere else.

Dr. Vaughn is knowledgeable, honest and professional. Staff is prompt and kind. They are extremely busy probably because of their reasonable prices and service but will do their best to see your pet if it's an urgent matter.
