These lovely ppl helped me find the owner of a lost dog who had gotten out and was running in traffic. Ultimately, pup got reunited with his dad, so my day was made! ???? thank you, Hart Animal Hospital!

Hart Road Animal Hospital is a small, but very comfortable veterinary clinic. As small as it is, I haven't had any issues with scheduling or slow service. The employees are very gentle and good at making you feel comfortable with giving them responsibility for your family pet. They explain everything to you rather than treat you like you don't know anything (some drs. and vets often do at other places). I recommend them for any issues you have with your pet. They're great people. Let them prove it to you.

My husband and I would like to thank you for your exceptional care of our cat, Olive. She had her IV fluids today and has eaten 7 times since. I really appreciate everyone who has taken care of her over the last two years. We are celebrating 17 years since adoption of her and hope for more to come. Can't miss baby sleeping in my neck at night with cat kisses! Once again, Dr. Smith thank you for your diagnosis, service and excellent support crew for Olive. Cherie Francisco

We absolutely loved taking our two kitties to this vet hospital since they were kittens, but when we were scared that our cat couldn’t breathe and was really sick, Dr. Smith’s bedside manner was just focused on his weight and fleas that we are actively dealing with. We did not feel like our cat and our worries were her priority. I took the opportunity to reach out to Dr. Smith over email to let her know we were upset with this interaction, because we wanted to open communication to fix the issue, or make us feel better about a miscommunication on our end, but instead she did not apologize and defended her actions. I’ve worked in animal husbandry, cat shelters, and veterinary practices and your job is more than working with animals: you’re also working with the people who love and care about them more than anything. Your vet should be a partner you collaborate with to offer the best care you can manage that also reassures you when you’re worried about your pets. We instead felt the complete opposite. I’m aware that COVID is a nightmare and everyone is exhausted, but this is the time when being kind is more needed than ever. Most people have great interactions with this practice and I’ve never had a bad interaction with the techs, but I feel like we should be heard and apologized to.

Our dog has had a few health issues since we got her. We've been taking our dog to Hart Road just before covid hit and I've been very pleased with the safety measures they take for our family. Our dog never dreads visiting.

Hart Road Animal Hospital is a wonderful place to take your animal for true one-on-one service. This is a place where they know you by name and they truly love your animal. I appreciate the level of compassion and care they have for their customers.

I've brought my animals to Hart Road for 10+ years. They take great care of them and are super friendly. Dr. Smith is affordable and always willing to work with our budget. Can't recommend enough.

Brought my 9 week old black lab mix in this morning. From the time of being greeted at the door until the time we left we were treated with immense kindness and professionalism. I might be one of the few lucky owners whose dog doesn’t hate the visits to the vet. I see a lot of negative reviews about pricing and pushing unnecessary procedures. The crew I worked with were up transparent the whole time and advised me what was recommended versus absolutely necessary. For me, a little extra preventative expense to give my pet a happy healthier life and save me from future problems is money well spent. Thank you doctor and team from Jake and Sage ❤️????

Love Love love this vet clinic!! This place is full of the most kind hearted, attentive, professional and compassionate people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! I wish my own doctor was half as good! I have never experienced a veterinary team that were so responsive and took a genuine interest in my Bears heath and well-being as a patient, not just another dog coming in the door.. When word came back that Bear needed surgery asap, they cleared their entire morning the next day to spend fixing her right up! While I was nervous about having Bear go under for surgery, I was also comforted by the sense that they cared for her as if she was their own too and would give her the best medical attention possible. I cant rave about these saints enough or even begin to thank them enough for what they did for Bear. Dr. Smith an her team truly touched my heart. Ill never take Bear any where else but here! Please take yours here too! AFFORDABLE, COMPASSIONATE, PROFESSIONAL, & DEPENDABLE!

Ever since Dr. Smith took over the practice, the whole place has a different feel. Like the other reviewer had said, the doctor and technician try and manipulate you into spending as much money as they can get from you. I took my dog in for an emergency tooth pull, and they ended up doing extra treatment that wasn’t required to pull the tooth. Racking up several hundred extra dollars. They sneakily add extra services to the treatment plan that you have to sign, while you as the patient have trust in the doctor that they are doing the right thing, but in all reality, they just want your money. If you can believe this!! The doctor even said to me “I’m sorry I can’t look into your bank account and see that you can’t afford services, if you are just looking for the bare minimum treatment for your animals then I’m probably not the right veterinarian for you” enter mouth drop here!! WHAAAAT!!?? In my not so mature days I would’ve told her right then and there the kind of person I thought she was. Little did she know, my super power kicked in and I could see right through her black soul and realized she was heartless. A wicked human being. My best advice DONT DO IT!!!

My dog is not an easy patient - very jumpy. Dr. Smith and her team have taken excellent care of him for several years now. Highly recommended.

Dr. Smith and her staff are the best. They did everything possible to help us care for our elderly pet through her final time. They always showed compassion and concern even though the end was near. They quickly refilled her medications when needed and provided helpful suggestions in dealing with various issues that cropped up. When the end did arrive, they provided everything needed to conclude her 22 years life with us. I just can't express how helpful they were. And I thank them. Maisy, we will miss you.

Found Dr. Smith many years after she cared for our cats at Sorrento. She's her own boss and is fabulous. New generation of cats call her their primary care doc.

We had an excellent initial impression of Dr. Lauren Smith. She is obviously smart, educated (cares about keeping up with new vet medicine research and medication uses) and she is kind, down-to-earth and very approachable. Add to that her responsiveness to my questions & follow-up after appointments and the fact that she sends me home with oodles of printed articles for a variety of subjects that I'm interested in learning more about for my dog's care. She is progressive and cool, too... an all-around A+ in my book. I appreciate that Dr. Smith is so flexibile with treatment plans. She shared many options for our senior pug's care and welcomed my involvement in co-creating a plan, knowing that limited finances are a factor for most of us. She was very flexible and willing to create solutions in areas where what we needed didn't exist. The pricing that I encountered was absolutely reasonable (and less than we were paying at the animal hospital in Portland that we used to be with.) I felt confident that we were getting wise, compassionate, mindful care for our dog and that was just what we needed after losing the Dr. he'd had a relationship with for the decade prior. The tech we had at our first appt. was Corri and she is absolutely the picture of who I'd ideally want to interact with me and my dog, especially in situations when he might get stressed. She is down-to-earth, cool, easy to talk to, smart and SO GOOD at gaining trust and creating rapport, right out of the gate. (Chicken baby food on a pretzel stick spoon, FTW!) Just like Dr. Smith, her actions showed me that she truly cares about the animals in her care feeling safe and secure, even when that means going the extra mile and/or taking extra time. Watching her interact with my dog led to her quickly winning my trust. What a wonderful feeling as a brand new patient. You may encounter a rough-around-the-edges personality or two in the office sometimes. Some people can be rushed and less than professional, comparatively speaking. But even then, I have experienced their core commitment to the excellent care of their patients. That's what really matters most to me. We will stay with Dr. Smith at Hart Road. I am so grateful to have found them and had this late-in-life vet transition go so smoothly and comfortably for our whole family. Thank you to Dr. Smith and the whole Hart Road family. We're grateful for you. :)
