This review was edited due to change of health in my kitten post visit. WARNING: It is suspected that my kitten caught Feline chlamydial conjunctivitis here. We had to take her here for lethargy that came on suddenly. She had to stay overnight. Three days later, she started experiencing a watery eye, which quickly turned into yellow liquid that was oozing from her eye, which had to be wiped hourly with warm cloth. This was paired with runny nose, sneezing, and no appetit at all. We took her to a daytime vet and they diagnosed her with Feline chlamydial conjunctivitis. They said she likely caught it here based on the timeline of her symptoms appearing, and the fact that we have no other pets at home. She had to be on 1 topical and 2 oral medications for a month before her symptoms fully cleared up. I paid over $1000 for a dirty vets office.

I’ll say this…as person who loves their animal in Abbotsford we really only have one emergency vet to “trust” if their ever is an emergency. I promise you everyone if you don’t have an actual major emergency DO NOT GO HERE!! This is a major money grab. I left and drove as fast as I could to a Langley one and it is life changing. No need to go into detail but I promise you this place will not be in the best care for your pet or you, just your money. Discussing is all I can say and not sure how they are stay open. I’d give a zero if this site would let me.

This was my first cremation with my first therapy animal. They never held her once to see if she was cold/hibernating or to see if her time was up. Obviously as my first timer with cremation... i felt that they really don't have much emotions for customers grief for a minute or two.... All I feel is that they're only there mostly to get paid ???????????? Also I FEEL LIKE their Ore is too fake... I even open up to the Ore being out of place INSIDE the box... **they have a hard accent, so be very specific with them** R.I.P. Stella Baby -black teddy bear hamster- 1 year 10 months

My dog had her eye ripped open by another dog that attacked her, the vet was very informative of the pros / cons between having stitches and leaving the eye to heal on its own. We opted for her to have stitches and the entire staff took such good care of her. Her eye was stitched back together very well and I know she’s going to have a good recovery. The vet was also very clear and informative about her aftercare and healing process. If I ever have another emergency I will definitely be bringing her back here.

Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who truly cares for their pet. I brought my dog here because he managed to cut himself deep enough to require a couple of stitches, nothing too major. Due to it being late in the night on Christmas eve and my regular vet being closed I had to bring him here. The receptionist at the front had little to no knowledge about basic care for animals and was not properly educated on how to do vitals. She just jotted down whatever she pleased due to not being able to use the stethoscope adequately. When the doctor came in and looked at the injury, he stated that he would have to sedate my dog under general anesthesia and run blood panels for a minimal cut which was very excessive because my dog was not bleeding profusely nor acting abnormal. He provided an estimate of $1300. Upon asking why he couldn't do the stitches without sedation, he couldn't provide a proper answer. We then asked for him to at least sanitize the area and bandage it up for which he provided an estimate for about $300 only to have them do a lousy job that came undone the moment we left the door. He then wanted to give us antibiotics for additional $200. Consulted my regular vet who stated that the pricing they gave to us was unbelievable and only a minor numbing anaesthetic would be necessary if need be. I would recommend contacting the Animal ER clinic in Langley as they provided us various solutions for home care over the phone if we could not bring him in and answered any questions or concerns we had. Very disappointed, they only care about filling their pockets and not about the wellbeing of the animal.

We brought our baby girl with a tick and got seen to before the place was even open. They didn’t charge us a penny and saved the tick in a pill bottle and told us how to get it tested for Lyme disease.

I never write reviews but I just had to share my experience. Do yourself a favor and don't go to this clinic. My dog was attacked by another dog so we had no choice but to go here since it was pretty late and we wanted to make sure he was going to be okay. Keep in mind my dog didn't have severe damage. The doctor looked him over for 10 seconds and wanted my dog to do blood tests and get sedated to make sure his organs were all working fine when my little guy was bit on the face only. He estimated it to be roughly around $1300! If my dog was in critical condition I would pay for it without a doubt but my dog behaved normally as usual and looked completely fine except for a little gash near his nose plus a few scratches. Everyone who helped us at the clinic were very kind and helpful except the doctor. The doctor will take advantage of your pained state just to take your hard earned money. Do you really want someone like that to "help" your pet? I'm sorry but I won't. The doctor does not care for your pets well being so why even go into this field in the first place! Looking at the other reviews, it is obvious that this isn't the first time this disgusting doctor has taken advantage of the vulnerable people who were forced to bring in their sick or injured pets in an emergency situation. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! UPDATE: I took my dog to my usual vet clinic the next morning and after examining him, all he really needed was antibiotics and pain killers which all added up to be around $150!! Do not fall for this doctors scam. I am very upset over this incident and now I wish to warn all pet owners for when you're put in an emergency situation and don't know where or what to do. There's a way better emergency clinic in Langley and it's honestly worth the trip. Hope this helps.

So two stars for answering the phone but also only two stars because it seemed that the veteranarians were scared of my dog.. which is not really condusive to a healthy working environment in where you work with dogs, I would understand fear of aggression but the, vets didn't even come across the room to look at my dogs bite , we have a big dog, and I called and checked if it would be okay to bring the guy in and they said yes , and proceeded to waste the time where we could have gotten our dog adequate care, it would have been a whole other story if their receptionist had just told me the truth instead of I'm assuming just looking for her pay check. Family run business, if you need to bring an animal there I would recommend clarifying that they would be comfortable seeing it on top of the physical capacity of their clinic. Honestly a joke and terrible emergency location. Would only suggest if you litteraly cannot go any where else .

Absolutely stay clear of this place. Our dog had to go about 5 days ago to emergency. first off they showed our already fearful dog, fear! She did not like them. They charged us over $900 to tell us that our dog had extreme gas, and still couldn’t give us a concrete answer. They were hardly out to check how she was doing in the waiting room and were always talking in the back. This place is an absolute scam and money grab. Steer very clear of this place!!!!

Traumatizing experience. Took my cat there as he was having breathing issues and pawing at his face. Rushed him in and was told first fill out this long form and wait. (WHAT!?). Then vet tech took his temp after waiting for like 15 minutes and she did it wrong and had to do it twice and my cat was screaming. I asked do you know what you are doing? They recommended X-rays to see if nasal blocked or something got into his skull and I could hear my cat screaming from the back and it took everything not to run back there and get my cat. I felt helpless and so angry

Absolutely horrific experience with this vet. He would not see an animal in distress, suffering and dying unless I paid a ridiculously large sum up front. He didn't even come out of the back room to have a quick look. I really wish I had read these reviews before going. It was a very traumatizing experience for me. have never experienced such callousness. Avoid this place. Go to Langley if you need a vet after hours. They care and are kind.

If you walk into this place turn around and RUN. These clowns are all about the money. They gave me an estimate of over $2,000 for a barrage of tests and medication that were not necessary. Took our cat home and will take him to our regular Vet in Maple Ridge. I question how these quacks are allowed to practice.

Had to take my kitten in for a back injury and had a great experience (apart from my kitten being hurt). Staff was all friendly and knowledgeable. It is expensive but that's what you pay for an emergency vet. Overall a good experience and if I needed them again, I will gladly go back (hopefully won't have to though!)

This vet is notorious for holding and sending your animal to a shelter as 'abandonment' if you cannot come up with money on the spot - even if its for $1000s of dollars and you're working on figuring out your pet insurance. Biggest crooks I have ever dealt with, there is zero professionalism. I know multiple people who've had similar experiences. Please do not give them your business and for the love of god, do not take your animals here.

Cat was having issues so I phoned the emergency line. A lady answered and i explained the symptoms and situations when I asked if they had a vet in she said no did not explain if she could call one in or not. Did not offer any assistance or advice. Totally useless.

Save yourself and go to Langley. This place gave me such a bad feeling, all they want is money.

Horrifying! Kept our dog hostage from us while she was in distress. Came to them for an emergency pancreatis incident, charged us $1200 and then asked for payment ASAP. We explained we couldn’t pay right away, asked about payment plan / insurances etc. Wanted the money ASAP and started they would not release her back to us or she’d go to the shelter. We had to reach out to friends and family to pay for our dog to come home safe. There’s a difference between paying for a practice and extorting others for money through their pets. RUN away they are terrible people. Authorities and CVBC have been notified multiple times.

They will threaten you with sending your pet to a shelter if you cannot pay within a certain absurd time frame. They are 100% about the money and 0% about the wellness of your pet. Save yourself the biggest headache of your life and don't take your pets here because you may end up loosing them.
