It was New Year’s Eve and we had an injured kitty. We had to wait as staffing was short, but they did a phenomenal job and our baby is back to normal.

Just went today. Referred by our original vet Hayfield Animal Hospital for urgent care. Great staff all around! I didn’t get to speak to the vet directly cause they were busy and it wasn’t fully necessary. But the vet technician(s) the one …

I came in exactly 1 month and 1 day ago to have my cats ears and lungs checked. The doctor determined a yeast infection for the ears and prescribed the medication for that, as for the cough, it was simply brushed over and ruled out to be …

I didn't have a good experience here. My cat was having a medical emergency. When I called they told me the emergency medical fee and said I could bring her in. When I got there, I called them from the parking lot to let them know I was …

Was displaced from my home due to the snow storm early January 2022. My dog had somehow injured herself during that time. I called them within the first 30 minutes of them opening, and they were able to get me in that morning.

In the middle of the crazy snow storm at the start of 2022, we were left without power and our 7 year old fur baby cat Coccinella stopped eating, drinking and within 2 days became very sick. We called and spoke with one of the veterinarians who said she needed to be seen and she needed to have bloodwork done and fluids and she should be seen as soon as it was safe to drive her somewhere. Coming from Stafford we could have gone north or south (everything around us had no power) but we wanted to take her here. We thought she just need fluids and meds and would be okay and due to Covid we could not go in for all the initial tests and exam. We had been 3 days without power so they said to go and get food to eat as would be awhile for them to get the bloodwork back. While we were gone one of the kindest vets called, explained what they found and gave me (us) options but the totally unexpected prognosis was very poor, her bloodwork was off their charts. The kindness of the staff from the very beginning could be felt from the first phone call and when we were then given this devastating news it only continued. They offered us a room as a family to come and hold our baby, sit with her and let her know we loved her. They allowed us to spend the time we needed with her and the room they provided was one of the nicest, you pressed a button when you ready for them to come in and they did not rush us. The kids said their goodbyes and my husband and I held her as we had to let her go. It is never easy saying goodbye especially when it was not expected and we had been through quite a bit that week but VCA Woodbridge Animal Hospital was an amazing place to help us with sending her over the rainbow bridge with such kindness.

Staff was amazing. And sympathetic. Had to put an old friend down today. And they made it as comfortable as possible. Thank you.

I came in Monday for one of my dogs with diarrhea and vomiting then my second dog had to be treated 3 days later for a similar diagnosis. The team was short staffed and they were clearly experiencing overwhelming patient volumes but they treated me and my pets as if we were their only patient; demonstrating a high level of compassion and professionalism. Both times Dr. Katrina Spies, Khadijah, Lindsay, as well as the entire team were caring, accommodating and friendly. They also navigated extended wait times well. Dr Spies was thorough in her questions and explanations which removed the need for unnecessary tests/costs and made she answered all of my questions. As a healthcare provider dealing with similar staffing shortages, increased volumes and extended wait times due to covid, I understand how challenging it can be to provide services in a timely manner and provide each patient with a pleasant experience. I appreciate their "smiles through the trials" and work to provide quality care when they are stretched thin. This was my first experience and it was A++! I will definitely come back if needed! Thank you VCA and Happy New Year! Dr. T ( Shiloh and Koko)

Had an absolutely terrible experience with manager Ashley. She was incredibly rude and disrespectful. Absolutely unacceptable for leadership position and is reflective of the hospital's values. Do better.

Staff was friendly and professional. They were not able to save my dog, but she was already sick when I got her. I would use them again, if I ever decide to adopt again.

We picked up our furry son Bruiser's Paw Print from VCA in Woodbridge today. What a beautiful way to remember our little Chihuahua who was so well-loved. He will never be forgotten and neither will the caring and wonderful staff at VCA. Everyone here is a true animal lover and they know how to help you and your pet make the most of your life together! Thank you all so much for providing superior care for our pets and for us, their human family! ❤️????????????

While I’m disappointed that vaxxed and masked owners still can’t come in the building with our pets, overall I was very pleased with the care here. We had an emergency last week and this was the first vet out of half a dozen I called that had any availability that day. I was warned of a potentially long wait, but given the circumstances, I felt they were incredibly prompt. The tech who brought my pup inside was genuinely concerned about my girl, and Dr. Gordon was caring and detailed in her call with her diagnosis, treatment plan, and things to watch for. My pup is on the mend and I’m so grateful!

Was just told that this hospital will be closing their doors to pet parents in need next month. Unbelievable. I have been taking my yorkiepoo Bella here fore 20 years and was told that our doctors have now abandoned us. Every doctor worth their salt is getting out of here and going elsewhere, but where will we be expected to go??? Unbelievable. This place really has gone belly up, but I dont know what they expect us to do if our babies have emegencies not to mention that they STILL wont even let us in the building with our fur babies. Insane and unbelievabel. Id take my business elsewhere if there was ANYWHERE else to go but now that VCA is abandoning us thers nowhere to go. Unbelievable.

5 stars for the Vets. 1 star for the clinic management. Cost for emergency Vet care $4159 PROS: 1. Initial visit: The vets that were involved with my cat's surgery were excellent and kept me well informed. CONS: 1. After waiting over 30 minutes to pick up my cat even after calling ahead, the person that brought my cat out to the car when we picked him up just put him in the car, handed my the instructions and started to walk away. I had to ask for the cone. He had to run back in to get it. No explanation of instructions. My cat's rear half was soaking wet and barely towel dried which made the ride home very uncomfortable for him. 2.No response to email requesting the rx for the special diet food they put my cat on. 3. Final Straw: When trying to schedule an appt for removal of staples I could not get an appt for a week after the staples were due to come out. They said I could take him to the emergency clinic which would cost $139 for the emergency fee. I declined and said I would remove them myself. They called back and stated the manager said I could bring him in on Monday but it was advised to bring him in today because it had been 14 days. But of course no guarantee I would not be charged the $139 emergency fee. I stated had taken 2 loose staples out already and was told there would definitely be a charge because the Vet would have to look at the incision. Don't they have to look at the incision anyway? I'm extremely disappointed in the communication. Knowing now that they cannot accommodate a surgery follow up related appt in a timely manner, I surely would have called sooner. However, since they know their scheduling timeline, THEY should have had me make the appt when I picked him up to ensure the staples would be removed timely. This is not the kind of follow up care I expect. Had it not been for number 3 I would have rated them a 4. It would have been a 5 if they had responded to my request for the prescription. I have been in healthcare myself for over 25 years. There is an obligation to our patient to include surgical follow up care. Lesson learned for me at their expense because I will not be back with any of my pets.

We took our savanna cat who is 18 weeks old today when she was bit by a dog. When we got there I realized I forgot my wallet at home and only had my check book. They wouldn’t do anything until I prepaid for the ER visit upfront. After getting it paid they told me a check is fine. Okay, so then for the next 3 hours the we’re calling me asking if the $450 for X-rays is good I approved it each time and each time they wanted me to apply for the pet care credit card however the website was not working. So after the receptionist called us and told us everything was good to go but they never did anything. So to find out the only thing the dr was worried about was money. They flat out said they were concerned about funds. Came to Virginia vet center in Fredericksburg and got us in and out no problem and got Harley taken care of!!!!

The Vet staff is FABULOUS. The office staff, not. Had an appt for 11:30 and as we live nearby, I called at 11:20 to see if they were running in time and would be ready for us. The person who answered the phone said that would be fine. We arrive. They let two patients in ahead of us, finally getting us into a room at noon - not only did Nikki not apologize, she didn’t even speak to us - just weighed the dog and showed us the room. Later when I called back to ask for a copy of the invoice (they just texted us a total), another person answering the phone seemed annoyed at the request. The vet assistant was mortified when we told her what happened, as was the vet, who acknowledged that training the reception staff was an ongoing challenge. They also gave us a 10% discount for the inconvenience. Too bad, really. It gives off an incredibly bad impression of a terrific vet staff.

After calling several Vet hospitals in the area., VCA Woodbridge was the only facility that said they had room and time to accommodate my dogs urgent needs. I drove an extra 15-20 miles to get to their facility. Hopefully I will not need to but if the situation arises, I will call them first! They are so professional and caring. They came out to my car several times to keep me posted on my wait time and the status of my dog. They are a class act. So thankful for them!

I called today 8/19/21 around 4pm for an appt and Lindsey picked up the phone. I was asking questions because I have never taken my pet there before and Lindsey had this sarcastic tone of voice and kept laughing at me like I was stupid when I asked simple questions like what is the wait time, I let her know my pet is breathing funny, and if My husband can go inside with our pet and she kept making it seem like these were stupid questions and giggling the whole time like I should know their work protocol and as if I’m a regular patient who should know everything. So rude and what a turn off. She needs to work on her customer service because no one wants to take their pet to a place with that type of attitude especially without being able to go inside with our pets. How can we trust and feel secure leaving our pets with staff who have a bad attitude like Lindsey? Who knows how they will treat the animals? It starts in the frontline and if your staff in the front is bad it makes the whole hospital look bad so you won’t be having our business. Without patients you won’t have a job. Sorry to remind you but this is common knowledge for all hospitals and companies.

My fiancé and I took out dog here in early June for the emergency hospital. Staff was kind and thorough with our dog's examination. They recommended us the other VCA hospital in Merrifield to take our dog as we later found out had Lymphoma. Our dog recently passed away this weekend and we took him there after he passed. Staff once again was compassionate and professional. They were helpful with the process of filling out the paperwork for the cremation. They even send us a condolences card with a lock of our dog's fur. Highly recommend this place!

While the staff were great, I’m extremely disappointed with the the clinic. I took my dog in for a wellness exam and to get his prescriptions filled, as we just moved back after being stationed overseas. The vet recommended a blood panel, which of course as a concerned pet parent, I did. However, I was never told the cost. I was absolutely shocked when I received a call that the bill was $450 for one $50 prescription and a blood panel. I asked about the policy on letting patients know the cost of treatment before it’s completed. Unfortunately, I’m not sure there is one. Be aware of this when going.

Amazing critical care! My baby was barely responsive and they - Dr.Spies and licensed tech Jess - rushed right to ICU, expertly found what was wrong, and fixed her! After all the incredible intensive care they gave her she was able to walk out on her own and is happy and comfortable at home!
