Took my baby there for a quick check up, the vet was very nice and friendly she explained everything clearly. Overall a very friendly clinic if this is your first time going to a vet you can make this clinic as your first rest assured.

My boy Eli was being seen for swollen paws and he was so nervous and shaking when we arrived. I like how the Vet and the assistant made him feel comfortable. That’s very important to me and my boy. Thank you!

I recently rescued a kitten from outside of my old job. I take all my animals here and will continue to do that. They take such great care of them and are very informative.

Let me start by saying if google would allow me to give no stars or negative stars I would…. The absolute worst experience I have ever had at any Vet. We recently moved to woodbridge from Manassas and wanted to find a closer vet for our dog. We went to get our dog checked on for a possible ear inflection and lime disease. We also brought extremely detailed documentation from our prior vet Battlefield animal clinic in Manassas. Right from the start no one checked any of our dogs previous documentations and we were not allowed to be with the dog while the vet checked him out. The vet that came out starts of with “I am just a fill in vet and do know the policies at this location”….(Are you kidding me this is what you tell people???). After that amazing introduction this intern Vet then takes 30 minutes explaining 4 different treatments for ear inflections, and gives me 3 different opinions on the lime disease tests. Being very polite and letting her confuse me I said is it possible for you as the vet and medical professional to please just give me your recommendations as if this were your dog and then we can move forward. I then further elaborated, that I take my dog to a vet because the vet is the medical professional and I do what they say. She then got snooty and upset. At that point my wife was infuriated and said we will be going back to battlefield animal clinic in Manassas (over an hour away) as this was the most unprofessional vet visit we have ever had. Mind you we have own 5 dogs in the past 30 years and have never had this happen EVER. We wanted a refund as this quack clinic makes you pay first before you are allowed to bring your dog in. Conclusion, run far and fast from these unprofessional charlatans!

did blood work at this place. They chose to disclose only a single number from this test to me, withhold the rest in order to charge more money for basically something I already paid for.

You withheld information from my pets bloodwork, giving only one single digit / metric for a ~$90 exam. You technician defended this act by saying the pets condition only requires one single metric measure. I'd like you to openly defend how a single metric can possibly help anyone understand any kind of medical condition in any living things in the comment above, so everyone can see. His weight, liver conditions are closely related to his condition, and would help in determining his conditions. Also other clinics I have been to provided full bloodwork reports, with detailed metrics taking up to 3 pages. Your technician also suggested if I wanted more details, I would need to pay more. What you are doing is withholding information I paid for and charging me more for it. I will report this to State Consumer Protection Office in Richmond and Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

I took my two 6 weeks shichon pups to ridge lake animal hospital for their first exam. I drove 45 min from DC , it was worth the ride majority of the Vets in my area where all booked up mostly until mid July early August. I was lucky to get appointment with Ridge Lake and My experience with Ridge Lake was absolutely great!!! Once I arrived there I called to let them know I was outside on the lot the young lady check me in over the phone and then came out to pick up the pups . I would’ve taken them inside but I had two active kids along with the two pups who was behaving so nicely not the kids. ???? I thought I’ll be waiting but surprisingly it wasn’t a long wait she brought right back less than a hour and they kindly cleaned them up for me too. one of them had used the crate by accident while traveling . I was so grateful for that . My experience was worth the trip and I’ll will recommend anyone to pay them a visit , I don’t mind traveling for great services it’s something I do anyway weather it’s a trip to the Vet or buying Chinese food . Thanks!! Ridge Lake for your service and professionalism.

They are unresponsive. I have left multiple voicemails, and there has been no action to address my pet’s needs nor any returned communication explaining why nothing has been done. Will not return.

The veterinarians are very professional, helpful and honest. They breakdown everything prices, treatment etc. It is quite reasonably priced compared to other pet centers. 10/10 reccomend.

Friendly staff, good doctors, can't ever leave there without paying more than I was told. A $40 shot becomes $100 because they can't give the shot without doing the $60 exam. Sending a stool sample off for $300 exam when you tell them you just want the $50 antibiotics.

Took my pet rat here to get checked out due to an increase in showing signs of pain and stress as well as a lack of activity. I was at first pretty happy with the responsiveness of the vet. Didn't have to wait too long to get him taken in, got solid answers. I had an exam done and scheduled an x ray as well as blood work. This was in January. I got called back for the results of the x ray and was told that the blood test results would be in in a few weeks. I was called back in February only after I wrote in an email requesting the results as well as updating on status of my other rats and asking a few questions. I was told on the phone by a technician that they couldn't read the results and that the vet had tried to call me to give results previously which he definitely did not. I had no record on my phone of such a call taking place. I told them an email response would be fine if he couldn't get around to calling me and now it's been more than 8 weeks and I still do not have the results of the blood test I paid approximately half a grand for. Overall they are pricy, they rely on you being uneducated to sell you as much as possible and then ignore requests for further analysis or even just the dignification of a response. Always be cautious of a vet that has you write down how much you can afford to spend. That should have been a red flag to me off the bat. Will not be coming back and honestly don't expect to get the results of the blood test. At this point if they respond after seeing this review I will probably just ignore it.

They don’t care about your time, always late and so inconsiderate. Did I mention that they don’t even know how to carry your dog?

I switched here from Crossroads (they seem to be going through a lot of changes and couldn’t accommodate nail trims) I’ve now been to ridge lake to bring my dogs to be checked for an ear infection and a few nail trims. They are always kind and have openings within a few days of making the call. Their prices do seem to be a bit pricier but their quality of communication, organization, and hard work they’ve put in during this pandemic I am okay with paying a little increase.

Very pleased with the entire experience. Very happy they were able to see my cat for an eye infection the same day. Vet Tech was very professional handling him, Vet was very detailed and helpful explaining the treatment regimen. Highly recommended for primary pet care, or immediate need.

I don’t believe that there are words to truly describe how appreciative my family and I are of Ridge Lakes level of service and care. I called on Thursday to make an appointment for what I thought was bad eye irritation on my guinea pig. I was able to drop him off the following morning. Dr. K called about three hours later to inform us that our guinea pig would have to lose his eye, and that he could squeeze him in that day and that we could pick our little guy up in the evening. Evening came and Dr. K called to tell us that he thought it was best out guinea pig went home with him for the weekend because of their slow recovery. We were not expecting this level of service. The fact that the doctor was willing to take our guinea pig to his personal residence to ensure safe recovery is amazing. This place deserves more than 5 stars. I am so happy I found a place close to home that can care for my pets’ needs.

After a routine visit with shots my dog developed a painful lump in less than 12 hours. My dog was in such discomfort he yelped and would not lay next to me the rest of the evening. A week went by and the area was still hard to the touch. I contacted the office manager and discussed the situation. We made an appointment to look at my dog for the “only opening” on a Saturday. When I checked in I was told only then I would be charged an exam fee AND a work in fee, these fees were not mentioned when I had been in contact originally with the office manager. Caring and compassionate are not words I can use with this practice which is a shame as I have enjoyed this office in the past.

So where do I start, I made an appointment and had to wait 40 minutes? I thought appointments were made for a reason. Oh did I mention that they made me late for my job for not being able to communicate that they were going to be 40 minutes late? I lost money because of these unprofessional inconsiderable people. They simply don’t care about your time.
