Extremely happy that I brought both of my dogs here for their dental care. Dr. Hall is very thorough and does great work!

I had an issue where I took my dog to them. I needed my dog to have several teeth extracted. I just wanted to receive an estimate in writing . It seem like the Doctor didn't want to commit to it or an actual price. He stated it would be between 1,500 and 2, 500, that is a really big gap. Also they didn't tell me prior that it was $168.00 just to look in my dogs mouth and give me a piece of paper. I am sorry I will not go there for anymore service.

Thank you! Our pinki couldn't wait three months for an appointment at the vet near our home. Dr. Hall got us in immediately. Definitely had no idea there was a dental only for pets in the area.

AVOID AT ALL COST CAUSE IT WILL COST YOU ????????????...... Brought my dog in for a dental cleaning estimated cost was ~$800 got a call explaining they needed to do a few things and no revised estimate. I expected it to be a little bit more then estimated but when I went to pick up my dog I was told the bill is $2800!!!!! THIS IS BAD BUSINESS AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO ELSEWHERE... it's pretty much extortion now I have to figure out how to pay my credit-card bill

I knew that my dog's teeth needed some help but had put it on the back burner because he didn't seem to be in pain. Sure enough, one day he did seem to be in pain and ADC were able to get him in to be seen quickly. The work Dr Hall said was needed was, admittedly, significantly more than I had expected but once Dr Hall went through his x-rays, I understood why each tooth that was removed absolutely did have to come out. Dr Hall and his team were also very understanding when I had concerns about post-op swelling and had me bring him in for a recheck that day. Our 10 year old beagle has a new pep in his step and isn't missing his infected and cavitied teeth one bit.

As a breeder of German Shepherds, I truly appreciated the time Dr. Hall spent with us educating us on the dental issues of Dax. He was thorough in answering all our questions and giving us all the options. It was a breath of fresh air. Since covid most vets don't even see their human clients. This Dr. truly is passionate about his specialty. He has me a customer forever as I will have all my litters dental checked by him. Thank you Dr. Hall.

If your pet needs dental care do not waste time by going to a general vet. We wouldn't go to a general practitioner for our own dental needs and this applies to pets as well. After wasting a lot of time and money going to regular vets for help, I finally used my brain and found a specialist. It unfortunately took me longer then it should have and the work was way more extensive then if I had been smarter about preventative care and locating the appropriate person for the work. I am unbelievably grateful to have found this clinic. In less then 2 weeks my dog is packing on the pounds and back to his old happy self. I could have hugged every single wonderful person here. I will never let Tom experience this sort of pain again. While I found everyone at this clinic lovely to deal with. If you don't like straightforward bedside manner, oh well. The point is to help your pet, not make friends and trust me your pet will like them just fine.

Dr. Hall and his staff took wonderful care of my puppy Maisie, who had retained baby teeth & crowding in her mouth. Dr. Hall took the time to explain my options, answer my many questions, and obviously cared about Maisie's well being - whereas other clinics I'd contacted said they wouldn't be able to see us for several months, Dr. Hall made it a priority to treat her much sooner (having realized she was uncomfortable). Everly, Cristal, and the rest of the staff at Animal Dental Clinic are all friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful as well! Would recommend.

The staff was great, but the dental surgeon was arrogant and badmouthed my primary vet for not doing the job. Hello buddy, I live in Miami, not Vienna. Nobody cares how much experience you have when nobody can stand being around you.

The receptionist was friendly and cordial. The doctor was upfront about his assessment and held nothing back. It was very much appreciated. Would recommend.

Dental expertise beyond compare! It is expensive but it is less expensive than letting a problem fester until the bill is prohibitive or worse, requires that your beloved dog or cat has to be put down.

I read another person's comments and this vets reply. It says everything when they reply that the owner demanded that they remove their dog's teeth so they did. No reliable Vet will remove teeth when they feel they should not be. No respectable Vet would blame the owner. It is up to the Vet to do the right thing. It's just not right when your vet clinic did the wrong thing for a dog which cost them their life and then blame the owner. Take responsibility for your actions. Learn from them and become a better vet and vet office.

Worst experience ever. Dr. Hall if you can call him a Doctor at this point. He was very short with us and didn’t explain anything. Not only that but the office would not give us an oncologist referral and took forever to forward our paperwork once we did find an oncologist. This office should be closed they are doing a disservice to the communities pets.

Dr. Hall and his staff are amazing. My kitty Penelope needed extensive dental work. Their process is completely setup to be as easy as possible on their animal patients. Your follow-up is included (even tho Penelope missed hers due to a last-minute crate escape.). This, too, is to benefit the pets. Dr. Hall called the day after the procedure to check on us. He was very kind and professional. Everly was easy to work with, knows her stuff, and is a huge animal lover. Highly recommend this practice!!!

My pug Ginger died after undergoing a dental procedure at this practice. I took her to a specialist in order to handle any potential complications with the surgery. Prior to the procedure, Dr. Hall dismissed my concerns about anesthesia and pugs, a breed that often has issues dealing with anesthesia. Despite his arrogant attitude, I went ahead with his recommendation that he remove all of Ginger’s remaining teeth. Dr. Hall performed the procedure on a Wednesday, with follow-up visit scheduled for Monday. The clinic offers no after-hours or weekend care, but the vet tech assured me that calls made to the main clinic number during non-office hours were automatically forwarded to Dr. Hall’s cell phone. Despite several calls made during non-office hours, I only ever received calls back—after hours passed— from a vet tech, never from Dr. Hall. Also, the vet tech told me they didn’t receive one message under the following day when she checked their messages. I called the clinic each day after the surgery because Ginger did not seem to recover as well as she should. She wasn’t eating or drinking and was not her usual self. Each time, I was assured that she sounded normal. And although the vet tech told me I could bring her into the clinic prior to her scheduled follow-up visit, I was made to feel that I was paranoid and wasting her time. On Saturday, Ginger still wasn’t eating, but did start drinking. Her swelling also had decreased. By Sunday morning, though, she was almost unconscious and later died at the emergency vet. The emergency vet told me that Ginger’s mouth had a very serious infection, that the infection had gone septic, that all the dental work in her mouth had fallen apart, and that she likely had developed post-procedure pneumonia. Not once did Dr. Hall contact me after Ginger died. His vet tech called the day after Ginger's death, and made it clear that the clinic offered to check Ginger on Friday and that it was my fault for not bringing her to the office, ignoring the fact that I am not a vet and that the vet tech repeatedly told me she sounded normal. If the vet tech at any point had said, you should bring her into the office, just to be safe, Ginger might still be alive. The bottom line is, even if there was nothing wrong with the medical care provided by Dr. Hall (and I have no way of knowing whether or not this is so), the arrogant, dismissive attitude and obvious lack of empathy displayed by this vet and this practice should be red flags to anyone thinking of bringing their pet here. I wish I had heeded my instincts. My pug paid the ultimate price.

I love any animal clinic that makes working with rescues part of its mission. Small office with friendly caring staff. Ample parking. If you miss the turn in, turn and park in one of the lots off Lewis and walk over.

My dog got bit on the canine by another dog. My kids took my dog to the vet, who referred them to Dr. Hall. I already knew that to save her tooth, she would need a root canal because the nerve was exposed at the tip of her canine tooth. The problem was that my kids don’t know anything about dentistry, and so Dr. Hall gave 4 options in the consultation. Root canal, root canal and crown, extraction, or extraction with prosthetic. After evaluating her, Dr. Hall only provided three option, and root canal alone was not one of them. Also they added a dental cleaning, fluoride treatment a full set of x rays, crown lengthening etc. My adult kids signed to do whatever is necessary, and in my opinion they did too much. When I came back home Friday evening and saw everything that they did to my dog and now wanting to do a crown too, I didn’t agree to many of the things they did, but my kids signed for it so that’s fine, however I called them Saturday morning and left a message asking if they had prepped the tooth for the crown, because if they didn’t, I didn’t want the crown. I didn’t do this without thinking, I am a dental professional and I know that canines and front teeth don’t need crowns after a root canal, only the back teeth do because they receive more pressure. Nonetheless, I called them telling them that I didn’t want the crown and to please call me back. They never called me back. Today when I discussed all of those charges that I thought weren’t justifiable, Dr. Hall told me that it is what it is and thats how he works, and I could leave if I wanted to. He was beyond rude and unprofessional and makes me wonder what else he does with people that have no idea of teeth at all. I asked the manager about the phone call I placed and she told me that the Dr was informed and he directed not to call me until the crown arrived, which they didn’t do either. They could have called me when I left the message concerned about any drilling to the tooth and me not wanting the crown and none of this would have happened. They could have stopped the lab from creating a crown that Monday, but I think they were too worried about loosing the money for the crown, putting my dog under anesthesia again and all of that. Today we discussed all of that, and after finding out that he never prepped the tooth (which he charged for) and that the filling was permanent, I decided not to place the crown because it wasn’t necessary and I didn’t want to place my dog under anesthesia again for an unnecessary procedure. They gave me the silver crown which was a hollow piece of metal, just like the temporary crown that we have in the office for baby teeth. I am not happy with the way things were handle, the Dr. declined to backup any charges, but I feel that they should because at the end of the day if they would have returned my phone call they wouldn’t have made the crown, and everyone would be happy. Instead here I am and Lulu will not see dr Hall again and neither will my other dog. Please ask tons of questions before any major procedure and take second opinions too.

Weird experience. My 1 year old bulldog was bleeding from this mouth so I made an appointment to get him checked him out. The doctor came in and immediately recommended all these teeth pullings as preventative care and didn’t address my concerns. I declined the $880 exam that only included the anesthesia and radiology portion. They charged me $165 for the 10 minute consultation. Everyone was kind, but I’m very particular about my dog. I don’t trust this place. It seems like my experience was the norm. I wish had read the reviews first.

Dr. Hall is all about the money, not about the animal. He makes money by pulling teeth. I would avoid him completely there are two other certified dog dentists in the area and I would highly recommend you take your beloved pet there. If there was a minus five stars that would be what I would give him. The Vet who was there before Hall was wonderful and not greedy. He did not pull teeth unless it was absolutely necessary. I am sorry he misjudged Hall and allowed him to purchase the practice.

My dog child Lucy has been to see Dr. Hall for the past 2 years. She is a 9 year old french bulldog and needed teeth pulled. You can see a difference in her spirit - she is so much happier and her breath smells 1000x better. Everyone at Animal Dental Clinic makes you feel comfortable and informed. They call when they say they are going to and do an excellent job!

I wish I could give ten stars! Dr. Barron Hall and Cristal, the office manager, are incredible. Besides both of them being overwhelmingly nice, it is clear their love of animals and their love of working with animals is partly why they are so happy and kind. I took my girl Georgie there this morning. Georgie was diagnosed with a salivary gland disorder. My vet said she would need surgery. I did some research and found a top vet, Dr. Hall. By chance, I called shortly after closing and Dr. Hall answered the phone. So personable and knowledgeable. I made a consultation appointment and went in days later. Cristal was so kind getting the paperwork together and photographing Georgie. Georgie is a great judge of character. Usually timid, she immediately loved Cristal. When Dr. Hall came in, Georgie immediately liked him, too. Like aI said, great judge of character. With Dr. Hall you will find an expert who loves his job. You will also find a super kind and honest man. His is principled. He won’t perform a surgery just to make a buck. He wants what is right for the animal. If an animal (in this case my dog Georgie) has a situation that has a chance of remedying itself and is not in imminent danger, he offers sound advice. It may be that it comes to surgery one day, maybe not. Why take the risk and pay the price? Most vets would push the surgery. They are business people. Dr. Hall is rare. What a great person. I can see why he is so popular and why his reviews so great! Look no further. If your dog/animals is in need of expert dental advice and beyond, you will feel confident that your animal is in the best possible hands. Oh, and I believe I read he has worked at animals at the National Zoo! So like I said, I wish I could double his excellence with stars , but I will just have to give him the most stars allowed. Thank you Dr. Hall, Cristal and the entire Animal Dental Clinic practice!

One only needs to look at Dr. Hall's background to know that he is one of the best veterinary dentists around. There is a reason why zoos across the country, including the National Zoo, trust him to work on their exotic animals, and why he flies around the world to provide dental care to any animal with teeth. I went to Dr. Hall after a recommendation from my primary care veterinarian who noticed that my 3.5 year old, 8-lb Yorki-poo named Loki was showing signs of heavy plaque build-up leading to periodontal disease, and his overcrowded mouth was causing issues for his healthy teeth as well. Loki is family, so when it was time to see a specialist, I wanted the best. The best is Dr. Hall and his team. Loki hates being at the vet's office but the entire team was so kind when greeting him and came out to say hello that it made him feel comfortable. When Dr. Hall walked into the exam room and, much to my surprise, laid on the floor, Loki immediately ran over and jumped on Dr. Hall - tail wagging the whole time. It was clear that this man was already on another level when it came to interacting with animals. After an initial examination it became apparent that in addition to the overcrowded mouth causing his molars to turn, there were teeth that were hitting gum tissue. In other words, Loki's mouth was a mess and it was causing him pain. Dr. Hall clearly explained the issues and his recommendation to make sure that Loki had a happy, healthy, pain-free mouth. I never felt pressured to take those recommendations and it was clear I could go and get a second opinion if I desired, though having already talked about his teeth with my primary care vet and having researched Dr. Hall's extensive expertise, I felt comfortable moving forward. By removing some smaller teeth, Dr. Hall would be able to relieve the crowding and ultimately save the canines and molars. His skill as a surgeon really showed when in the midst of surgery, upon finding a previously unforeseen issue below the gum line, Dr. Hall was able to rectify the problem and still save Loki's molars, canines, and some smaller teeth. All this, while conducting a thorough teeth cleaning leaving Loki's teeth sparkling white. The post-operative instructions were easy and clear and included long-term plans like brushing and which dental treats are actually tested and effective vs just advertising. It has been two weeks since Loki's surgery and we just had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Hall and his team. Loki was happy to see Dr. Hall and even happier when Dr. Hall said his stitches had healed to the point where Loki could start being able to play with his favorite toys again. After this we discussed long term care surrounding teeth brushing methods and regular dental visits. It was clear Dr. Hall will always speak for your animal and what he believes is best because your pet cannot speak for themselves. Dr. Hal will provide cost estimates, always acknowledging that once you pet is under anesthesia, he may find something that was not seen in the initial exam (which happened with Loki) but when this happened, Dr. Hall called me and sought permission to perform the additional steps. Go in for a consultation, if you're on the fence go get a second opinion, and then you'll ultimately realize why Dr. Hall and his team are simply the best veterinary dental specialists around.

I wanted to thank Dr. Hall and his team for their extraordinary care and talent while treating my cat, Sassy. I took my cat to Dr. Hall for treatment, for what I and her primary vet, thought was an abscessed tooth. Dr. Hall immediately and accurately identified it as an oral cancer. There are only about 100 practicing veterinarian dentists worldwide. We are very lucky to have access to Dr. Hall and his compassionate team. Sometimes animal dentistry is tough to come to grips with as a pet owner. My cat had to have part of her jaw removed as well as several teeth. I honestly believe, as hard as it was to make that decision, it was the right thing to do. Unfortunately she passed away recently. Dr. Hall & his team gave her a better quality of life and gave me additional time with her that I otherwise would not have had. Thank you Dr. Hall & Team.

Dr. Barron Hall's practice all around, from Dr. Hall to his staff, is made up of caring professionals who listen. Wouldn't we humans like our doctors to call following a procedure to inquire how the patient is doing?

I just spoke with a receptionist. He was a male. I would never bring my pet here. It was 7:13am 11/16/20. He showed no empathy and did not want to help me. I explained to him that he was being really aggressive and rude. He hung up on me. I don’t want my pets ever going to this clinic. That behavior is a representation of there practices. If you care you do great work. BEWARE
