I’ve been boarding my dogs at A Dogs Day Out in Ashburn for 4 years now. I love that they aren’t caged during the day—that they get to hang out in a large room with other dogs—I’m sure it helps pass the time and is a much more enjoyable stay. The staff is super friendly and always helpful. Cannot recommend this place enough.

The individual who managed this location for the many years that we have boarded our dogs recently moved on to other things. Current management is poor. When we picked up our little friends on July 5, the place was clearly overbooked—way too many dogs. There were only two employees, neither of whom seemed trained and experienced. The enclosure in which our dogs were held had dog feces all over the floor. I watched dogs stepping in it. This not the same ADDO I remember. We will find someplace else.

When I got my puppy in February, I knew I wanted him to go to daycare. The first place I looked at had very limited availability for the required behavior assessment. I was able to get my puppy into A Dog’s Day out for an assessment same day—this level of convenience was an enormous plus for me. I only used the services at A Dog Day’s Out for a little over a month because I ended up relocating for work, but the staff played a foundational role in getting my puppy socialized and I’ll always be thankful for that. Everyone is friendly and professional, the drop off/pickup process is fast, and the prices are fair (especially if you do a bundle). Best of all, my puppy always came home tired out.

I brought my Akita, Reno, here over the weekend to be boarded and it went terrific. Liam, the manager, and his staff were super welcoming, informative, and just flipping wonderful. He texted me how Reno was doing, sent images, and everything went smoothly. This place will be my go-to whenever I'm in town.

Our dog loves it here! She's always super tired after she gets back. She gets sooooo excited when she realizes we're driving there to drop her off. It's hassle-free to drop her off and pick her up, too.

A dogs day out is the best doggy daycare you'll find in the area bar none. The staff is friendly, the facilities in excellent condition, and the manager john is gods gift to mankind.

Great place to drop you dog off for a day or even just a few hours to let them blow off some steam. The staff is incredibly friendly and our dog always comes home ready for a nap.

I've taken my dog to other day camps but he seems to like this one best! I attribute that to the great staff.

This place will be a great location to put our new puppy. The assessment was pretty straight forward and their hours are great. They make sure your dog is placed with others they will get a long with.

My dog is the sweetest gentle dog and today I picked her up and there are bite marks and scratches. This is unacceptable. John who is the manager reassured me this will never happen again and is looking into the matter. I really appreciate and know how much John cares for the dogs. Thanks John

It's entirely too crowded, but Annabel has always left pretty happy and never seems to have a bad time here. The people that work here are very friendly and mindful of the dogs.

They have a really good system for pairing dogs with the right group. They even have overnight lodging in case you can't make it in a short notice situation. You can leave what your dog eats to keep your dog regular. My dogs love it and are exhausted when I pick them up in the evenings. The staff is always in the play areas with the dogs and Clean up messes right away. The only negative is that they don't go outside to use the bathroom, they just go in the play area, but again they clean it up right away from what I've observed. A Dog's Day Out is a good choice if you prefer your dog not to be in the house alone all day.

My pups love to spend the day here. I love they don't put them in crates... they can play all day with their furry friends!

My dog has been coming here 2-3 days per week for about 3 years. I also use their boarding service. My dog is always excited when we arrive. The staff, especially John, are friendly, caring, and accommodating. They know you are in a hurry when dropping off in the morning and they try to check-in your dog quickly. I noticed a negative comment on here from someone who called and didn't get an immediate answer. That's because they don't sit in the office all day; they're in the playroom with the dogs. If you leave a message, they will return it.

My boyfriend and I moved to a new place a couple months ago with our 2 year old lab mix, Cooper. He used to go to a daycare at our old house pretty regularly to get some energy out and socialize - He's great with dogs and people. ADDO stuck out because of the location, hours, and pricing. He did his meet and greet and did great. I loved the ability to do the 3 hour block and did it on a few Saturday's. I got feedback a couple times about how well he was doing. One Saturday when my boyfriend was picking him up one of the young employees there told him that Cooper was not allowed back. When asked why, he said - "He knocked over the mop bucket. And we looked at the video tape and he did it deliberately." So.. because our dog "deliberately" knocked over an unattended mop bucket in the playroom and it "took a long time to clean up" he is now not allowed back, EVER. We emailed the manager, John, and he called and agreed with the decision because "other dogs got wet" and it's not something they want to risk happening again in the future. The way I interpret that is, it's easier to keep the mop bucket they use to clean up pee and poop in the room and kick a dog out (who clearly wasn't being supervised), instead of taking it out of the playroom after using it. It's absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable in my opinion. So to recap - If your dog does dog things - like in our case Cooper apparently had an evil plan to intentionally knock over a bucket of water - this is not the place to take them for daycare because they may get kicked out in a snap. To my understanding dogs get kicked out of these establishments for being aggressive and having serious behavioral issues. I guess ADDO has different policies...

We have been going there for years. The staff is super friendly and our dog loves it there!

We take our lab/pit mix Bella to this location weekly. This is so far the only place that has kindly accepted our pit; it is not like other places with policies that discriminate against pit bulls and do not let that breed play with other dogs. Our dog Bella gets extremely happy every time she comes here. John (I think it is a manager) is very nice to us and Bella.

Way too many dogs in their warehouse setting, there was hardly any room for the dogs to move around. When I picked up my dog she was crated with many dogs around her, with little explanation as to why. She was lethargic the rest of the night and did not seem like herself.

I don’t know what is going on over there I called one day to inquire their daycare he was friendly gave me all the info I needed but I needed to have my pups shot records faxed over so I call again to get the fax # but no one answered all day except that one time I actually got to talk to someone. I called probably 7 times that same day . I call AGAIN THE FOLLOWING DAY NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE repeatedly I called, what if my dog was there at daycare and I needed to see how she is but you can’t reach no one. What the hell guess they don’t need my business . Going elsewhere

Safe place to take the dog, one person is always in each play area. Cameras in office area let owners watch their dogs. Prices are very reasonable.

They treat our dog so well. She's always excited to go and so tired from a day of good play when she gets home. We go three days a week and it's worth every penny.
