Roo and Ellie Grace just got home from their first boarding experience ever. They did great! The staff took excellent care of them, and I have more reservations for November. Great place. They were safe, got exercise and love and good accommodations. Will definitely be using them a lot in the future.

The staff at Colonial K9 treated our dog with the utmost love and care during the board-and-train program. Her trainer, Bill, showed us how to work with her aggressive tendencies. Our dog went from biting our children to bringing toys over to them to play. He treated her as his own and we are eternally grateful for that!

I sent my Great Dane to Hella K9s for board and train to work on basic puppy skills and overall obedience. His trainer was Taylor and to say she was amazing is an understatement. She was in constant contact with updates and any health concerns, she cared for dog like he was one of her own. I highly recommend Hella K9s to anyone who asks me. It was truly a wonderful experience, for both me and my dog.

They made my dog comfortable and fed him as requested. Very efficient in what they do.

Nice clean facilities. Allow dogs to have out of the cage time to run and play without charging for it. Reasonably priced, outstanding and personable staff. Also a training facility for your pet.

We left our German Shorthair Pointer here for 8 days while out of state. The place looked very clean and kennels were clean and nice. Staff was also very nice. We will defiantly go there again. Best place we found in the area so far.

I called and spoke to the owner/head trainer at the facility, and I was explaining my uncles dog to her, 'she's not mean or bad, she's just really rambunctious, I have 2 children at home(2 under 2) and I told her that I needed my uncles dog to go into training so she can learn to be a little safer around my kids. I was told, 'rambunctiousness cannot be trained out of a dog.' word for word that is exactly what she told me over the phone. I went speechless bc that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life. If she thinks that then she should just give up her training license right now bc that was the comment that made me NOT go with them. I'd rather pay twice what they charge to the K-9 off the leash training in Fredericksburg over this place. Beyond amazed that this woman is still in business. If I could give 0 stars, I would. ridiculous.

We have been taking our German Shepard here for 5 years now. He loves it! Whenever we come to pick him up he's full of energy, well groomed and happy. The facility is great and the staff are very friendly.

We brought our German Shepherd puppy here for training and for the occasional daycare stays. He has gone through beginner and intermediate obedience with Maria and she has a lot of patience and trains using mostly positive reinforcement and correction only when really needed. As for the daycare Jax seems really happy there and enjoys playing with the other dogs. The girls in the daycare seem to really love the dogs and enjoy spending time with them. We are considering future training here

It's $ 35 per night for one dog and $ 15 for any additional dog sharing one room. They don't discriminate against any breed, they love them all. The best part is that they offer Military and Law Enforcement discount; active, retired and veterans. I defiantly trust them with my fur babies.

Dogs were looked after cared for and the folks that work there knew my dog's names. I was concerned because I've never left my dogs at a kennel my concerns and then put the rest I do not hesitate to use Colonial K9 again

We have been using them to board our beagle for years. They gave been great. When our shot records were out of date (she had the shots just not the paperwork), they did the leg work to call our vet and get things taken care of.

This place is fantastic! They love dogs and take care of my dog whenever I am out of town. Such a wonderful place with indoor/outdoor runs.

Our dog really enjoys her stays and she receives great care. We feel completely comfortable boarding our dog here. Staff is super friendly and truly loves dogs.

The only place so far that I would trust in boarding our working dog. Love the kennel set-up... there's a doggy door where they're able to be both indoors and outdoors... it's climate-controlled which is awesome! And another thing I like is they don't let two dogs that don't know each other make contact.

We had our two dogs groomed at Colonial K9 (note: we have not tried boarding yet - this review is only for grooming). Kathy, their groomer, was fantastic. She listened to everything we requested for our two girls and she did an amazing job. They came out smelling great and it was the perfect trim. The dogs were not anxious at all as they were groomed together in a quiet area. In terms of cost, they are right on par with the other local groomers in Stafford and you walk away with a quality cut. We couldn't pick our two up right away, so they got to spend some time in a kennel run and were perfectly content when we picked them up - they seemed very calm and relaxed - plus on a hot day it was perfectly air conditioned and well kept on the inside. We will be bringing them back for future grooming and if the need arises, I can see us boarding them there as well!

The staff were friendly but 2 nights and nails for $129! Lesson learned
