Burke Forest Veterinary Clinic Springfield, Virginia

I have been so happy with the care my pets (and I) have gotten at Burke Forest. The staff and vets are wonderful.

I just took my new puppy for her first vet visit and we had such a positive experience all around! The technicians and Dr Hart were so caring and made sure my puppy was happy and comfortable, and also offered great advice to me as a new dog owner.

I ended up canceling. They still won’t let owner go in with their pets (covid)

Very understanding and accommodating of our skiddish, nervous German Shepard. We're unable to do full appointment (she was on drugs but not enough I guess????), but they were understanding and very pleasant and worked out other options for future appointments. Thank you so much!!!!

Dr Barker is so attentive and kind! We have such a good time with the staff and they have been so considerate to our pets needs-they care for our cats, Josie and Ood, as if they were their own fur babies!

From the beginning I felt like I was in good hands with my kitten Misa, we found our kitty outside and she was abandoned so we needed to take great measures to make sure she was healthy. Burke forest vet definitely made our family comfortable with their great care for our cat. The whole appointment was in our car and via phone. They came to the car and spoke to us about the things they do, and made sure we were aware of what would happen once they took Misa inside. They gave me paperwork to fill out in the car, and called from the phone once she was all set to come back to us. Explaining everything in detail, the doctor came on and asked my concerns and made them go away. They definitely made us happy with their care for our kitty. Misa came back home happy as ever, which just goes to show how well she was treated for her appointment. Thank you Burke forest vet for taking care of our baby!

Ever since I adopted my pup we've had issues with finding a veterinarian that we trusted fully. Whether it be misdiagnoses, mistreatment, or wrongful medication, I started to lose faith that I'd ever find a doctor that could truly meet the needs of my pet while also creating a safe space for her, as she gets very overwhelmed and shuts down during her appointments. Meeting Dr. Bowles changed everything for us. She's the first doctor I have ever fully trusted, and I know she has the best interest of my girl at heart. She's increased her quality of life, and every day I am thankful for the care she provides. I cannot recommend her clinic more highly. Thank you all for the amazing work you do, and for making sure my Bebs feels safe and loved while she's at the clinic! If you go anywhere else for veterinary care, you're a fool!

Dr. Barker is knowledgeable and professional. We have the highest confidence in her. She sets the standard in veterinary medicine. We know our two dogs are in the best hands when in her care.

They are always great with my dogs at this practice. Elizabeth, one of the Vet Techs here, is great, she is always responsive and shows great care and concern for my fur babies.

My dog had a mass growing on her side. We had just moved to area during the pandemic and after calling a few clinics Burke Forest was the only one who was able to make time to see my dog promptly. We decided on surgery after Dr Bowles took the time to explain all my options. No unnecessary test were run to determine probable diagnosis. We ended up doing surgery a week later after a detailed surgery estimate low and high depending on length and difficulty of surgery. The surgery went well and cost was under the low estimate which was wonderful. Due to my dogs length and flexibility ???? she was able to lick and aggravate the incision a bit but after taking her in Dr. Bowles was able to clean wound, fit her with a long soft collar and used a laser treatment to speed up the healing process. I could see a noticeable difference after treatment within a few hours. All the staff have been wonderful during every drop off as you cannot come in right now due to covid. They also offer a military discount! I will be making Burke Forest our primary vet in Virginia now. Thank you guys for looking after Daisy so well!!!

You will be hard-pressed to find a group of people who love animals as much as everyone at Burke Forest. They always did their best to make my talkative dog feel comfortable and loved. If you need a new vet, then definitely give Burke Forest a try.

My cat’s breath was awful and got a dental surgery last year. This year, his breath was not the best again and took him to the vet one more time. He got blood work and proceeded with a second surgery. After this, his health went down the drain. One day we were so worried that decided to take him back to the vet but, they were closed so, we decided to take him to another vet clinic where, after reviewing his blood work, told us the results which, were bad. Burke Forest never mentioned anything about this and still, proceeded with the second surgery. If they had explained his blood results the way the other vet clinic did, we wouldn’t have accepted the second surgery and, my cat might have stayed with us for some more time. I really hope this is something Burke Forest missed out and it’s not an every day business to them!

This place was always so kind to my pets. Put my cat on boarding while we are Passing and they have been the best.

Small very clinic. Staff clearly love animals. Cats in residence are also friendly, but you are asked to keep your pets in control: dog on a leash, cat in a carrier (no mention of bunnies or hamsters!). Seem to be priced reasonably.

My dog ate some gum and she needed some additional test run the following day after being at the ER all night in Springfield. My regular vet could not see her for the follow up so I took her to Burke Forest. Liz took her in and ran the test and Dr. Bowles gave her an exam. We have one more follow up test. I'm very happy and my dogs have found a new Doctor:) Thank you Burke Forest!

Declined doing business there when I stopped by the veterinarian was brisk end not entirely friendly. Also I did not like the procedure 4 putting my cat to sleep

The vets here really work with us and provide all the information we need to make the pragmatic decisions a family with multiple animals has to make. The rest of the staff is helpful, too

After speaking to Liz I deleted my previous review.. She is the heart of this practice... Everything is being made right.

We bring all our pets here, all of the vets and staff a very caring. Cricket are new addition loves everyone there. Prices are fair and the staff is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend you try them. This is more of a highly trained family vet vs a cooperate vet where your pet is just a number.

The most uncompassionate veterinary provider I have encountered. I called in distress because I believed Petal, my cat and patient of 16 years, was dying. They said they were booked and could not see her. I asked again because it was critical and they put me on hold and refused. I stressed she was very sick and their long time patient. They put me on hold again and the vet said they would see her and charge an additional $100 emergency fee. I was in disbelief. Petal was later put to rest by an unfamiliar but very kind and sympathetic clinic.

We take our two small dogs, and the staff is so caring of them. We love this place, and will continue to take our pets here, and we live in Fairfax :)

The office and staff are extremely friendly and are great at what they do. They recognize our pet by name when we bring her in. Can go on Saturday's and weekdays often without appointment. If you email the Dr, she evens writes back with valuable feedback. All there generally enjoy what they do and care about your animal.
