Dr. Holly was so amazing. She was so kind to my little girl and helped ease my stress. The receptionist was phenomenal, the tech who checked me out was so kind. Thank you!

We rescued a very sick cat from a stray colony, and took her to the Pets ER. The staff is wonderful, helpful, and very understanding. Sweetie, our new cat has been there several times, and we trust that they will always take great care of her. We are especially grateful for the care Dr Sloan has given her. We couldn't have made a better choice of caregivers for our new little family member.

Keesha, our almost 18 year older cat was in heart failure the day after Christmas. I called the Pet ER and explained the situation and was told to bring the cat. Once we arrived, Keesha was seen immediately. Unfortunately Keesha had to be euthanized. Thanks to Dr. Samantha Story and all of the staff at the Pet ER for the exceptional care given to our cat. The staff was very informative and kept us updated with Keesha’s condition.

They were very quick and detailed. However...I do feel they take advantage of people financially. Of course no one would not take their fur baby to the ER...they are family. But some people just cannot financially afford it.

My dog ate tomcat mice poison while I was on vacation in OC. I took her here at midnight they kept her overnight. They made her throw all the poison up and gave her fluids. Then they monitored her electrolytes through the night. They saved my dogs life. It was $400 but that is a small price to pay for her well being. I am very happy with their services and ability to answer all of my questions.

I am currently at the pets er, waiting for my cat. I called prior to arriving and was told there would be a 3-5 hour wait and I wouldn’t be able to join my cat inside the building, which is fine. I asked if I would be expected to sit here and wait for them to be finished checking her out and was told no, I didn’t have to wait, that I would receive a call when my cat was finished. After arriving and them coming and taking her inside, I filled out the paperwork and called to let them know I left it in the black box as instructed. I told them I would then be leaving to take care of my errands for the day, since it is my only day off. VERONICA then tells me, if I leave they won’t care for my cat. To which I become very upset and she begins belittling me for being upset. She then says”you wouldn’t just leave your kid if you brought them to the er” to which I replied, “I wouldn’t bring my child to an er that wouldn’t allow me inside with them”….this just seems like an odd argument to make considering I don’t have a choice as to whether I can be inside with her. Yes, I regard my cat as much as I would my child, however, the weird way in which I can’t even leave to go get my medical equipment or some lunch so my blood sugar doesn’t go low is beyond me. I won’t be bringing my animals back here AND I would highly recommend that you bring your pet elsewhere, somewhere that will treat the owner and “parent” of the sick animal you brought to them with empathy and acknowledge your time is just as valuable. Forcing people to wait for hours In their vehicles is just really odd to me. Thanks for the “help” and “caring” attitudes towards an extremely worried cat parent. Keep up the good work guys!! Lol

I called this place and explained that my cat may have been shot!! First thing the woman comes back with is, well examination is this much and x-rays are that much!! You have to have that money with you!! I said the last time I came here with examination and x-rays plus treatment and medicine it only cost $250!! I asked her,if my cat needs surgery, do I have to have all of that money tonight, she said yes!! They are more worried about money than the animal!! Never asked me ANYTHING about my cat!! I've always paid my bills, but to come up with possibly 5k tonight or they won't help my cat,Ridiculous!! So basically, they want me to pay them about $350 to tell me That my cat has been shot!! They are money hungry!!

Although the wait was long, they took really good care of our baby, and everyone I talked to was very nice and understanding. The price is very reasonable for an emergency clinic and the care was excellent!

Had a pet emergency and came from Delaware for help. Covid made things difficult and the person who answered the phone was less help. But the vet was great and very helpful with our problem.

I imagine it’s a bit busier during the day just like any ER but my midnight experience was almost immediate and there was someone ahead of us . the staff were very pleasant , helpful , and reassuring . only downside is you have to wait outside in your car while your pet is inside which could be a bit nerve racking / an issue in some circumstances. My 10 Month old Aussie had contracted parvo and was treated and released within the hour. Dr . Schroen was very knowledgeable and courteous. Prices are middle of the road for pet emergency rooms around here so if your in the salisbury area and are in need this is your place to go.

I waited almost four hours in their parking lot for my 11week old puppy who was lethargic, in pain, and vomiting after ingesting a houseplant. They never even called me. I called twice only to be scolded for bothering them when they were busy. We were told she was “stable” but nobody could explain what that meant. People came and went… and still we sat. After the third call, we gave up and took her home. At least they had the decency not to charge me. Oh… and we had to sit in the car but the receptionist didn’t bother wearing a mask when they finally gave me my dog back. I understand the need to triage, but you need to communicate and when four or five pets walk in and out before you get any information, I question your triage procedures.

Long wait (5 hours) but understandable since it is an emergency vet. They did a great job on my old man dog. They got him all put back together nicely. I just wish they would keep you informed on the time frame
