They completely shaved off my bichon frise puppy after being explicitly told not to shave him close or to shave his head. On top of that, they charged me extra for this and were extremely dismissive of my complaints. My dog is unrecognizable and seems very very unhappy after this ordeal.

They traumatized my dog and ruined his beautiful fur coat! They have zero knowledge of grooming based on breed and did such a shoddy job that my dog is unrecognizable! Although most dogs are nervous going for grooming, my dog has never exhibited any nervousness till i unfortunately took him there! He came out visibly upset and wasn’t himself for several hours after being back home. When I called to discuss this with them, the owner was extremely dismissive, kept talking over me and did not accept any of his several faults!!! Never again! They should be ashamed of themselves for treating someone’s fur babies this way. They vile a$$hats should rename their business to sh!tville!

Professional dog groomers. You can tell they like what they do. Great customer service and customer communication. We called about a dozen other places before we found this place. Groomingville was able to fit us in the same week schedule. Very friendly staff. They take notes about how you want your pet to be groomed and call with an update.

WORST !!! It was my 3rd time here and I had an unbelievably bad experience the last time I was here. In fact, when I first entered there today, I should have left immediately when I saw them scare the puppies standing there in fear, regardless of the dogs being afraid of the electric vacuum cleaner. Anyway, ı warned them and they turned off but they should never use it as well!! when I left my dog and came to pick it up, I paid it without checking my dog. however, after I came home, I saw that it was a very unstable cut and my dog was not cleaned enough. and she even cut off my dog's eye lashes. For this reason, when I called and voiced my complaint, the person (K…a) who groomed talked as if she was mocking, approached completely without a solution focus and just raced herself. I wanted my money back. SHe had a style as if she was fighting in the neighborhood. This is the first time I have encountered such customer service. SHe started saying something ridiculous like there was a camera here. I don't understand what i have to do with the topic. I wanted to meet someone else because I couldn't get along with her. SHe said i can't talk with anybody. After I came home and started to checkıng my dog, I voiced my complaint, it is unbelievable to encounter an attitude that says you should have said it to my face, not on the phone, i was just expectıng that she should have questioned how she could make up for it by just saying sorry. But she didnt. I wont come here Never - ever again!!!

I have gone to this groomer once before with no problems. But I brought my dog in today, and he was hurt, with the groomer taking no responsibility for what happened after we tried to contact him. My dog Mayo currently has a darkened bump on his back, about the size of a quarter. It has been drained by the vet and characterized as non-harmful. It doesn't hurt him because it is hardened. I pointed this out to the groomer when I dropped Mayo off. But after he was groomed, I noticed that the bump looks as it has been scratched/ ripped off, with the edges of the bump currently bleeding. When I called the groomer, he said that he had not touched the bump, and that this happens when water touches it. I don't see how this makes sense, especially when we showered Mayo only a couple days ago with no problems whatsoever. Furthermore, the bump is already hardened. It would take a lot of force for it to come off the skin. Water alone does not cause the skin to break and bleed. It looks more like he tried to rip it off. It's an open wound, which does not happen naturally with just "water." The groomer argued that I should have known this would happen, because it is a common occurrence -- which I doubt. He took no responsibility and had a rude attitude when speaking. He was not concerned for my dog at all, even though the area is bleeding and at risk for infection.

I took my old dog there for grooming. Had a very nice chat with the owner, who assured me they’ll take good care and take their time with my dog. I alerted him that he needs two people to groom him as he’s very jittery, talked extensively about it, and was even ok walking away without a grooming if things did not work out. 2 hours later I get a very rude call from Susana, telling me it’s impossible to groom him, repeating what I had basically told the owner, but in an extra rude and unnecessary way and telling me to pick him up ASAP. I came and paid 50$ for a bath I could’ve done myself, was treated rudely and unvaryingly carelessly by this person who also added it was “dangerous” for her to cut his hair. I checked him today and he has a big cut above his eye. If she had mentioned this happened when I picked him up, I would’ve understood. If she had just called to say hey sorry, it’s not doable, it would’ve been fine. Again. We talked about it but apparently she wasn’t paying attention or just did not care. I paid 50$ to basically get yelled at, for my dog to get injured, and for my time to be wasted. Definitely would not recommend, especially if your dog needs TLC.

My experience at Groomingville has been highly variable and the quality of the groom seems to depend on whom is the groomer which varies each time you bring your dog in for grooming. The pros: 1. relatively inexpensive compared to other groomers , 2. easy to make appointments on the website, and 3. the dogs are allowed to interact and not caged. The cons: 1. Despite providing very clear and detailed instructions on the website form, the front desk never seems to know what I have requested, 2. Groomingville has a grooming school and student groomers who are not well supervised may work on your dog, 3. Groomer quality is highly variable and professionalism varies from downright rude to pleasant and accommodating, 4. Time from drop off to notification of being ready for pickup is highly variable; one time my dog was ready in less than 2 hours; another time he was there almost all day; once there was no notification at all. 5. My dog incurred a skin injury during grooming and developed a hotspot; the groomer never brought the area of skin problem to my attention. Despite being a regular customer for several months, I decided to discontinue using Groomingville because my experience there has been very variable and my most recent experience was quite negative. My dog (a long-haired breed) was returned to me with more mats than he had before I brought him in to be groomed. When I called to discuss my issues with the most recent groom, the person who responded was highly defensive instead of customer-oriented. I did bring him in for a re-do a few days later but the groomer was curt, only spent 15 minutes with him, and returned him via a student only in slightly better condition.

I was quite nervous about bringing my 8 month old Maltese here as this was going to be her first grooming ever. But we just rescued her and she was in need of a full shave down due to her being matted. The associate explained to me that there might be some hot spots before the groom which I understood. When I came at to pick my puppy she looked like a completely different dog. And the groomer did show me the hotspots on my puppy skin. For everything done it was great service from what I expected.

NEVER go to this place. My dog came home limping and had a large bruise on her leg. I had to take her to ER because apparently either another dog bit her or they pulled her leg and now she may need surgery. I called and asked if anything happened and they said well it takes 5 days to do a report and we don’t know if it even happened here. I asked them to show videos of when she was there and they refused so something happened otherwise why would you refuse to show that. He was very unprofessional on the phone and not willing to help me while I’m trying to understand what they did so I can treat my dog.

Traveling out of the country for some time so naturally I wanted to make sure my dog was taken care of before leaving. I left my dog with Groomingville for a routine grooming and when I got her back, she was limping and had marks on her leg. I called, worried, to see if they had any reports on my dogs stay there so I could get an idea as to what might have happened and was told to calm down as if I shouldn’t be worried about my dog. Very rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional and will not be returning to Groomingville.

YOU ARE ROLLING THE DICE TAKING YOUR PET HERE. THEY SHAVED MY AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD. I handed off my Australian Shepherd to the owner in the morning. We talked in detail about the cut they were going to give my dog. I came back three hours later and some guy in the back had shaved her like a Doodle. I was crushed. There's no excuse for this. Clearly the owner is hiring anyone who wants a job and not training them. They don't care about you or your dog if thats how they're running the business. My dog had beautiful long hair, as an Aussie should, and they just shaved her. All of it. Gone. I feel terrible. This is why i'm sharing my experience. Hopefully this will help prevent them from doing this to another dog.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. My dog had to go to the emergency vet after getting groomed here. I took my dog here to get groomed on June 18th 2021. After a couple hours of dropping her off, I got a call back saying my dog was ready to be picked up and not to be alarmed, but she developed a “stress blister”. The groomer said that it was perfectly normal and happened all the time. She said that the stress blister would go away in a couple days but her manager would be glad to talk to me in more details if I have any additional questions. When I saw my dog I immediately knew something was wrong and took her to the emergency vet. The vet said there is a 0% chance an injury like this can occur from stress and concluded that it was a Scleral Hemorrhage and believes it is a strangulation injury. And after reading the other reviews this isn't the first time groomingville has caused this. My boyfriend and I have been trying for a week to get into contact with the owner and she has been evading all our attempts to contact and won't reply to our email.

All we got was a bath. We were scheduled for a full groom, but for the very first time in 13 months of owning our dog--who is out and about with new people and dogs every single day--he growled at one of the staff. He's been to day care every week since we've had him, and went to a chain store previously for grooming. None of this was odd to him, yet he didn't want to be there. The whole place had a weird vibe with loud dance music playing and mostly young men doing the grooming. They didn't look like professionals at all. We left the chain store for the same reason--like here, it looked like one day someone could be working the register, the next day a groomer. I went out in the parking lot, read some of the recent reviews here, thought about his highly unusual growling, and went in and pulled him out. To be fair, the place appears to work for a lot of people. This is just me and my experience. We're going to look for a more boutique experience for our puppy instead.

My 2 year old golden retriever needed a good bath and undercoat brushing. She had been groomed at Petco before but the waiting list for an appointment there was too long to wait. So, I looked around elsewhere and using an online search for dog groomers near me, came across Groomingville in Rockville. Reviews were positive so I gave them a try and took my dog for grooming today. The whole experience was terrific. Upon arrival, we were greeted with smiling employees who seemed genuinely happy and welcoming to both of us. We talked about what I wanted and didn't want from the grooming process then she was led off to the baths without fuss. Ninety minutes later when I picked her up, she looked better than ever. She seemed to have had a good time with the groomer AND all the other dogs. I loved how everything there was out set out in the open and the place was very busy with many other dogs getting services. I happily recommend Groomingville and will definitely use them again for my dog's grooming needs.

I just picked up my two cats from being groomed this morning and I was very alarmed to find blood all over the inside of their carrier when I got home. After looking for the source, I found a pretty significant cut on one of my cats back paws, presumably from cutting her nails. I understand that trimming cats’ nails can be quite a challenge, but find it difficult to believe that a cut like that would go unnoticed by staff. Failing to mention this accident is extremely unprofessional. Not to mention, my cat is in obvious pain and still actively bleeding an hour later.

The staff could not care less. Every time I get my dog groomed here there is something wrong. Most recently, when I picked my dog up he had poop all over his paws, his nails were super sharp, and the fur on his face was super choppy.

Very professional. I liked my dog's hair cut from there. But a bit too busy for a timid dog.

My dog (est. 65lb Collie/Shepard etc. mix) has been going to Groomingville for over 5 years. I have always been happy with the end result, their service, they way they treat my dog who has extreme anxiety. They have always let me know if there were any issues and have fair pricing compared to competitors. I trust this group over others because of their experience. I originally came to them because of my other dog is a rescue and has some initial trust issues with strangers. They knew the situation upfront & knew exactly how to handle her appropriately while getting the job done. I always feel comfortable leaving my dogs with them. I have referred friends & coworkers there & they have also felt happy with their experiences. They are experienced and honest. I will always support local businesses and they will forever have a loyal client with me!
