The staff is very nice. We feel at ease having this establishment take care of our puppy.

The vet is ok.... BUT after waiting for 4 days for x-rays to be sent, i was yelled at and hung up on by "Amber" for asking about the missing X-rays. Waiting for x-rays to be sent over for 4 days (while they promise 24h result on the phone) and being yelled at and mistreated on the phone for pointing this out the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a Vet RESPONSE: your employee was the only one irate and yelling (plz review the call if you wish). I simply asked if there was something she could do, like leave a note so this is handled in the morning when the right person came in. This request was met by shouting and slamming the phone on me I have asked to change the email on file 3 times, including the day we took the x-rays, which was 5 days ago and still no x-rays in my inbox. 5 days of unnecessary animal suffering, pushing off a surgery, waiting for you to send an email

Avoid this place for grooming!! The groomer does not know how to cut long-haired dogs. Review is solely based on grooming not their other services.

This place is a joke. Care as far as a vet care is ok, but something as so simple as getting laser therapy appointments scheduled or any appointments is hard to do. Several times I had to call to confirm upcoming appointments and they would tell me I was not on the calendar or they would call to confirm an appointment I had rescheduled at a later date. Sometimes when I would call to confirm a laser Theraphy appointment I was told I would have to wait until the Dr Wesson would come in the office because they did not have access to the laser Theraphy calendar which I thought was insane. I think half of the time the staff will make up excuses because they are being trained and don't understand the system. Every time I was told they don't have access to the calendar, I would call the next day and speak to someone else and they would provide me with a confirmation of upcoming appointments. It's never consistent with upfront staff, some some to be knowledgeable while others make up lies like they don't have access to the calendars. I don't know if they are upgrading to a new system, but it's amazing how hard it is to screw up a scheduled appointment. Something as so basic as asking for an invoice that shows I paid for laser Theraphy package should include the dates I schedule/paid for. But the invoice would have random dates for other stuff like annual checkups or grooming appointments which should not be listed under an invoice that is showing payment for laser Theraphy. I would not recommend this place, if you can't rely on basic scheduling and invoices, then it makes you wonder how well your pet is being taken care of. I would highly suggest going elsewhere. NICE TRY but I was never rude or verbally abusive as you claim. I simply stated that I wanted my refund back since clearly I couldn't get a confirmation about the dates I had scheduled for laser Theraphy and since I had asked on numerous occasions and I couldn't get them, I decided to cancel those appointments. Take responsibility, a manager should have stepped up after my numerous attempts to get the dates confirmed as your front desk staff can't seem to book them correctly all the time. Instead I get a call from the vet, he should focus on healthcare and have a manager take care of those types of matter. Don't blame me for, take accountability for your own actions. From what I can see, there's plenty of people that have put reviews about scheduling and rude staff up front. If you want to blame other people other than looking at what your staff is doing....then it truly shows what poor quality you are doing. EDIT: When I recently received an email reminder for an upcoming appointment I had canceled several times because it was reschedule for the end of November, I finally had it. I had already requested my refund back for laser therapy, so I simply responded "You all can't seem to get scheduling straight, I've already cancelled this appointment several times. Their response ended with a "HA". Truly shows how professional they are, if you can't respond professionally when you get a bad review and then falsely accuse someone of being verbally abusive, this screen shot of that email I receive should speak volumes of how professional they are. I didn't not curse on my email, simply stated a fact. They can't seem to get scheduling right, there's something wrong with their system that does not properly catch rescheduled appointments which is why I was so frustrated with this facility. I'm glad I caught this on an email, best of luck to whomever decides to come here and get treated.

The best vets! They take great care of my two English bulldogs. Each of the vets I have interacted with are warm, enthusiastic, answers all my questions, and explains after-care thoroughly. Their front staff is also kind and welcoming.

The place looks very nice and clean but I wish they would actually Care about my pet… I came with my dog to treat a skin issue, the doctor gave her antibiotic and a spray. One of them caused her a bad allergy reaction and when I came the next day, the lady at the front desk just gave me a different antibiotic, which I had to pay for of course , and the vet didn’t even bother to come out and check my dog.

Very clean and overall a nice place. Very friendly staff, in and out appointments! If you're in the area and need a vet, highly recommend this place... Nothing but positive experiences! They take the time to get to know your pets, they come back out to let you know what kind of tricks they know, so you know they are interacting with the pet and treating them! Our dog loves going to the vet!

I'm regretfully giving them 2 stars. First, the doctors, Wesson and Appleby have been fantastic. I trust them whole heartedly. They are both very knowledgeable, caring and patient. Top kudos to them both. Only 2 stars because the front office is too unreliable. Jesse is on meds for seizures and we are almost out. We have an auto refill but Boyd's now only uses one pharmacy or you can get a written prescription to go where you want. This stopped the auto refill for her meds. We called for a written prescription and never got it. This was not the only issue. Previously, Jessie had a bad case of diarrhea and they did not have any openings but offered a drop off so the doctor could see her between patients. Issue was when I arrived they had no record of the drop off and I had to argue to leave her. This happened twice. On a third occasion, they would not even do a drop off for 3 days! I had to call another vet, explained the situation and they said they too were booked but allow us to do a drop off so Jessie could be examined and treated. The prescription issue is the last draw, having them send the medical records to a new vet and moving on. Disappointing because Dr. Wesson and Appleby are great but if our dogs can't see them, then we can't get the care our dogs need.

The emergency care for our cat who was scrapped by a passing car was thorough and excellent. The detailed report was well done and our cat recovered in a few days.

Dr Weston is possibly the best vet we ever had in three states. Went out of his way to help us with our senior spaniel with lots of issues all the way through end of life. He was professional, made reasonable recommendations (as opposed to throwing out every possible treatment under the sun and saying "your choice") and a pleasure to work with. Cannot recommend enough.

Dr Boyds was very unprofessional with their service to our puppy. Their immediate response to our dog being a 5 month old puppy was to tell us to medicate him for anxiety. They refused to even touch him since he was "borderline aggressive" and doing behaviors never seen before. Instead of trying to work with our puppy, telling us it would have been better to start his grooming before 6 months (which he was still 5 months old), they sent him home and told us to medicate him before coming back. We took him to a different groomer, a week later, NO MEDICATION and they said he loved the entire process and the new groomer cut him amazing! Bad vibe at Dr. Boyds and we will never go back because the dog definitely did not feel comfortable going there and neither did we. Update: It has been almost 2 months since this incident and no one from Dr. Boyds has reached out asking if we want to come back, not that we would but, if you are going to recommend something like medication for a dog and "try coming back after a medicine" wouldn't you want to follow up with potential customers?

Had an 11am grooming appointment, got there at 1030, asked if my dog could also get vaccinations and teeth checked at some point during the visit. got a call shortly after 11am from the vet to follow up on the request made when I dropped her off, then noon from the groomer asking me what I wanted as far as grooming. at 230 (2.5hrsy later) I called to get an update on when my 18 lb dog would be ready, and told since she was late she would be last and there were several dogs ahead of her. I then told them I would be coming in to get my dog. On entering I shared I thought it was BS and was told not to use such language. My next few words were a little more choice. I informed them I was not late but in fact early to the appointment. NEVER GOING BACK. EVER NICE try, but your LYING the appointment was for 11am, no prior time was arranged, I asked for the additional service when I drop our dog off at 1030, DONT WORRY I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK AND YOU ARE FULL OF Sh!T. DO NOT REPLY TO ME AGAIN

While researching a vet to go to I was told to check out this business but based on the way they have responded to negative reviews I’d be hesitant to go here. There just has to be a more professional way to respond to a unsatisfied customer.

We first went to Dr.Boyd’s in 2020 when we moved to the area for our 2 dogs. One of them was newly adopted. We saw Dr. Appleby and he was fantastic! He explained that our newly adopted dog had some anxiety and that we could medicate but did not push the issue when we declined. Recently, I took my mini Aussie in for a consultation on a growth on his eye - was told it needed to be surgically removed and that he also needed a dental. Was then told I would have my estimate by the end of the week - called on Friday, was told I would have it by end of day, nothing - called on Saturday, was again told end of day, nothing - called on Sunday, was told end of day or Monday morning - called Monday and was told that the doctor was very busy but I would have it by the end of the day. I finally received my estimate on Thursday of that week, over a week after my appointment. I’m very understanding of things being busy but communication was just poor in my opinion. If it won’t be done for a week that’s fine but let me know rather than promising something you can’t deliver. Our other dog went in this past weekend for his annual exam and I had requested Dr. Appleby and when called for his exam found out that is not who we were seeing - again I am understanding but a little communication here would’ve been helpful - and we were told again that he needed to be medicated for his anxiety but came off of less of a suggestion and more of a “you need to medicate him” - mind you this dog is only anxious at the vet which you would think would be understandable as most pets have some form of anxiety at the vets office. And to top it all off my dog came out of the exam with an abrasion to his nose that my fiancé was notified of when he went in to get him and saw blood in the exam room. We then had to deal with blood for the rest of the afternoon because he “thrashed around” during vaccines and scraped his nose.

Amazing staff, everything is so efficient there. Great daycare with many dogs for yours to socialize with under supervision. Have Happy Hour where you can drop your dog off for a few hours to get out energy so you can get stuff done before the night at home. Huge facility and great vet staff as well! Took a foster dog there and now our current family dog.

staff and vets have been great to work with, responsive to our questions when we needed guidance, and took great care of our kitten when we needed a place for him to stay until we were ready to bring him home

I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Wesson and the staff at Dr. Boyd's Veterinary Resort. I was away on an international trip last year when my dogs attacked each other while staying with a sitter in a freak accident. They were rushed to the hospital and the staff at Dr. Boyd's stepped right in to help. They coordinated with the emergency vet next door for emergency boarding and care for the youngest dog. The staff communicated via email, phone, and through some friends who were able to help on the ground. They even let my cousin come for visits with Cooper while we were away. After that experience I switched all of my dogs to Dr. Boyd's for vet care and boarding services. They love it. I have never had an incident since. It is so great to walk in and the dogs are excited to see the staff. Another thing I like, Dr. Wesson is conservative when it comes to recommending surgery for our senior dog and I appreciate that. He takes the time to explain the medical landscape and gives you options. My family is moving and we will be leaving the practice. I hope we can find a team as amazing and caring as this one.

I absolutely love Dr. Boyd’s. During a time with great uncertainty in the world, there is GREAT certainty with Dr. Boyd’s. I received a reminder via email that my dog was due for his shots. The staff was responsive and provided me with a same day appointment. I was able to schedule a no contact appointment for drop off and pick up. I saw Dr. Wesson in passing as I was waiting in my car and he greeted me with a friendly smile. Dr. Boyd’s provides consistent and reliable care for my dog. I feel at ease and my pup is healthier and happier!

I had my cat do the neuter surgery there one month ago, the estimate they gave me is about $500. But my cat died during the surgery. I didn’t receive any call that day to inform me how is my cat presurgery test going until he died. The dr said everything is normal in his blood test, nothing wrong, he can’t explain exactly why he died. So first he said he may had FIP, then he said it maybe the cardiac problem. I don’t understand if his blood test is all right, why dr suddenly found so many problems after he died. My cat was playful, had no problem at home before the surgery. This is such a heartbreak. And they tried to charge me for the tests after my cat died and I refused. They never do the follow up calls after the vaccine.

As a potential new client, I called to inquire about their daycare service times, and was told their website needed to be updated and service times on website are incorrect. I was hoping to take my puppy there. Kind of annoyed that their website does not reflect the service they offer.
