The people there are very nice and ask if there is anything they can help with. The last couple of times I've been in they have not had what I was looking for... I blame the holidays. I ended up buying something anyway.

Although this Petco location has a lot of items in stock, what I was looking for appears to be out of stock. I was looking for Royal Canin dry poodle food, and this store had empty shelves for many of the breed specific foods. Otherwise, this store does appear to have a large variety of merchandise. Hopefully, the food I would like to get will be in stock again soon!

Was inquiring about a bird. The staff says they don't know the ages of the animals, which is not normal when selling. They should have all info from a breeder.

I couldn't kill my goldfish, I didn't have the heart to do it, and they took my fish and told me that they would find a home for them... I'm not sure if it meant a lot to them but it did to me

I had to reschedule 2x in 3 weeks cuz groomers did not come in and 3rd time same groomer that had done my older small dog 2x in the last year forgot he had sensitive teeth and he tried to nip her a little so she did not groom him at all. He has cataracts and startles easily so now they no longer want to groom him because they said he is now too old and it takes more time with an older dog even though he has gone there a few years. PETCO should not age discriminate against older dogs, they should be more sensitive to their physical needs. At least they did not charge me for his LAST appointment with PETCO.

We will not be taking our dog to get groomed at Petco again! He went in a happy puppy because he’s such a friendly dog and we picked him up and he’s now scared of everybody. He is not his useful playful self, urinates when you go to pet him, and wants to stay in his cage. I do not trust Petco with my dog never again will I be using their grooming services. It’s almost like it’s two different dogs. In the before photo, he was so happy. Now he’s scared. My poor Milo ????????

I always take my dogs for grooming with Leslie at the Petco at 9700 crossing Midlothian. Both of my dogs are rescues and can sometimes be timid. Leslie is very patient and skilled at what she does. I feel comforted knowing that they are in good hands and they always come back looking amazing. Very pleased with the services here!

I didn't check the store hours before I went and arrived just a few minutes before the store closed. The associate working was kind enough to let me quickly grab my items and ring me up, which I appreciate!

It was good but I would like to tell you what happened afterword that was better. I saw another Petco a few miles down the road when I went to get lunch. I really liked the carrier and wanted to see if this larger store had another one. While there I happened to notice an injured parakeet. My heart sank because in my experience most pet stores wouldn't care for a small animal being in pain. I mentioned it to the staff and the person I spoke to was exactly aware and convinced me that the bird was being monitored and would be getting whatever treatment it needed. It made me feel better about shopping at Petco and I will be choosing your stores over the competitors whenever possible after two great experiences at two different Midlothian stores.

They sold me a blind Guinea Pig without disclosing and told me if I returned him they would just put him back up for sale again w/o any special handling or accommodations (not even a Vet visit)! All of this cost me about 50 dollars and tons of time on rhe phone......

This was the most frustrating grooming experience I’ve ever experienced (or not experienced). I brought my older dog, and my younger dog. When I got there I was informed they could not groom (or even trim the nails of) my older dog due to his medications. I’m really unsure why I wasn’t informed of this policy until I’d already left work early to pack my dogs up and bring them in. This policy should be made very clear BEFORE you book, especially when my dog has been there before AND I’d called prior to the appointment to ensure his records were on file. I then decided to only have the young one’s nails trimmed at this point, and the groomer removed his Seresto flee collar without telling me... once they’re off they’re nearly impossible to put back on- and they’re expensive. So not only did my dogs not get baths, but I’m out $50+ for the new Soresto collar I now need to buy. I will NEVER return.

Always love taking my dog when I go shopping at petco bc they treat him like a king and feed him treats. He loves going. I also have a cat, three turtles and a chinchilla and I find everything I need for all my pets
