Good quality vet but kind if expensive appointments

First time there with my sick kitty, and I was super impressed. They kept me informed even though I had to wait in the car due to covid protocols

I’m a new cat mom and had gotten my two cats from a “rescue” where they had not been properly cared for. Never having dealt with these issues, I felt nervous and unsure as to what was going on. Dr. Williams explained all the issues my cats were experiencing in great detail and I feel confident they will both be in tip top shape in no time! I highly recommend this vet to pet owners, especially if you’re a brand new pet owner like myself. Great place!

Prescribed my dog a medication that killed her. She took one dose and never got up again. When I Google the medication first warning is dogs are highly allergic! Before Dr. Lee prescribed the death sentence for my dog, I always felt pressured by Dr. Williams.

I had an emergency and had to reschedule my appointment. The lady who answered the phone was very helpful at getting me in for the next available time slot and offered to work around my busy schedule. I really appreciate the effectiveness of this office and it’s staff.

This veterinary hospital has the most caring staff that I have ever experienced. Dr. Williams is very knowledgeable and thorough in treating my two pets, I would not trust any other veterinary hospital with my precious purebred Birman cats. Dr, Williams has provided them with top quality care for at least 12 of their 15 years and has saved their lives on numerous occasions. Dr. Lee has also been very helpful whenever she has treated my cats. I highly recommend this practice because you and your pets will be treated with courtesy and compassion at all times. The staff are thoughtful and caring. You will definitely benefit from the professional knowledge and experience that is consistently provided.

The vet actually took the time to talk to me about how to best care for my cat. I even called several weeks ago and they helped me problem solve over the phone versus making me come in...saved me a lot of money. They are amazing!!! I wouldn't trust my fur babies with anyone else!!

Awesome experience with this vet. Had another vet tell me nothing was wrong with my dog, so I brought her in for a second opinion. This vet immediately diagnosed the issue, talked with me about options, and really made me comfortable and felt like he truly cared about my and my pup. Cannot recommend highly enough. If I were still in the area, this would be my vet of choice, hands down.

If the health industry treated humans like the staff at HAH treats their animals, the entire outlook on the medical field would change. The Dr spent lots of time with my puppy and explaining everything to me I needed to know. The sweet staff treated my Daisy like she was royalty.

We called and asked to come in with no appointment, the front desk staff was great & worked us in. Doctor thoroughly explained everything before proceeding with any testing and then again with the results. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a doctor take that much time with a patient (animal or human) making sure they fully understand and are comfortable with their concerns.

Having spent a fortune early in my career on direct-mail marketing, I am sympathetic to those endeavoring to build a business in today's cut throat market. Dr Laird Williams, the Vet here at HAH, elected to send out a coupon for a free initial visit and checkup. I decided to check him out and establish a connection here in RVA for when Polly and I are in town. It was a wise choice. The facilities clearly have had a considerable investment in them as they are modern, spacious, well-equipped and inviting. The staff could not have been friendlier, although Polly is the ultimate room-warmer, spreading sunshine wherever she goes. His exam was thorough, gentle and educational, and he spotted a potential problem with a small growth on her side we will need to watch for getting larger. Good to know. This is a man who clearly loves what he does and deserves some exposure to the Furkid Parents who read Yelp. (Originally posted to Yelp 05-28-2014)

We love Dr. Williams...he is very thorough, helpful, and patient. It's obvious that he truly cares about the wellbeing of our pets and has gone above and beyond to help. We highly recommend this vet and our fur-babies approve.

I'm new in town and needed a vet. A neighbor recommended this location. The staff was great and worked harder than they should have needed to to get my old vet records faxed. They had the services I wanted at reasonable rates, and the facility was clean. My only complaint was how long I had to wait, both to get into the exam room and for the vet to come in once we were in there. I was the only one one in the place. I guess there must have been surgeries going on or something. It would have been better if someone had told me there would be a wait for whatever reason. Then I would have known what to expect.
