Dr. Newhart helped our pet in his darkest hour. He was professional, kind and gentle.

I have used Dr. Newhart for my dogs' care since moving to Reston in 2019 and am very happy I did. I have also recommended him to others. He has been very professional, knowledgable, direct, responsive, and helpful, as well as caring. He takes time to answer all of my questions, which is important to me in a vet. And coming to my home is critical. This greatly limits the stress on my dogs, and me! I highly recommend Dr. Newhart.

Dr Eric was caring and knowledgeable for our beloved dog Fletcher who had anxiety at a regular vet.

This was my first time utilizing Dr. Eric and I am extremely impressed with his overall approach. Given that the COVID precautions have made going inside the vet with your dog / cat more or less prohibitive, Dr. Eric came to me and we utilized the small dog park in my apartment complex. I couldn't have been more pleased with his attentiveness to my dog's medical needs as well as his vaccinations. I have already recommended Dr. Eric to my family and friends.

Our vet recommended using Dr Eric and Vet in a Box when we made the difficult decision to euthanize our dog recently. He was able to come on semi short notice and was very accommodating to the time of day and patient with the time we needed to say goodbye. He was so thoughtful, gentle and caring. It made the experience better for our girl, and for us. He followed up with a nice card and updates on her cremation. While heartbreaking to have to do, he made it a little easier. we felt at peace that we had made the right decision and our girl was laying in her own bed the entire time.

Why would you use any other vet? Super knowledgeable, caring and at your home. Incredible service please people, vet in a box is amazing don't even consider another choice this is an obvious one!

When things took a wrong turn for our dog, Rambo, we called this service to ask for at home euthanasia. I can’t begin to express how caring and compassionate this doctor is. He took his time and gave us time to grieve and was so gentle with our dog. It was really as peaceful as it could be, and we can’t thank you enough.

We started using Dr. Eric when we got our new puppy in June. He and his assistant have been wonderful! Scheduling is very easy, communication is great, he’s reliable and provides great feedback. He takes time to make sure your pet is comfortable and feels safe when examining them. My previous dogs always hated the vet so much and would be so scared, but it’s totally the opposite with Vet in a Box, my pup is happy to see Dr. Eric. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Dr. Eric came to our home on short notice when my kitty took a turn for the worse. He and his assistant were so caring and compassionate and because of him we were able to say goodbye to our kitty in the peace and quiet of our home. We are very grateful.

When Dr. Eric came to our home to help along the passing of one our old family pets he showed nothing but compassion, respect, and understanding to both us and all our pets in a difficult time. My family is so grateful for what Dr Eric did to help our very good boy go peacefully, and surrounded by family.

On short notice Eric was able to get me in and take care of an issue with my Peibrador Snoopy. Eric was professional, efficient, and explained everything to me, including Snoopy’s after care. I used Dr Newhart during the heartbreaking discovery that my dog had cancer. He did an in home visit and then came over at the end. I am so grateful for the professionalism and compassion he and his assistant Sarah showed me and my beloved dog Sam. They helped me make the hard decisions to ensure our last precious moments together were spent in the place he loved surrounded by his pack and his favorite people. They were great in making sure I understood all of the options, knowing what would happen every step of the way. They truly care and I felt that at every moment along the way. They also were realistic without being scary. I felt their knowledge along with all of their support guided me through a very difficult time. They allowed me and my dog so much dignity at every stage of the process. They so sweetly made me a mold of his paw print at no charge which will forever touch my heart. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Just brought home my sweet girl, Winnie, a week ago and she needed some attention and shots. Sarah and Eric were amazing with her (and helpful and informative to me). I can't imagine going anywhere else. Winnie had a great experience with them and they took such good care of my girl. Do yourself and your furry family members a favor and call them.

I had a spectacular experience with Dr. Newhart and Sarah. It's been long overdue since my Chihuahua has seen a vet. They were very helpful in providing us information and answering our questions. I didn't know the last date of my dog's vaccine, so Sarah even took the time and effort to contact my previous vet from years ago to help me out. Dr. Newhart was gentle and patient with my Chihuahua.
