The grooming department is just getting increasingly frustrating to deal with. I take my dog every 3-4 weeks to get his nails ground. Per Petsmart's policy, this is a walk in service. I'm not able to make an appointment for it, they insist it's walk in only. I also can never get anyone to answer the phone if I try to call ahead to see if they have time. However, it's becoming more common that they will either turn us away due to lack of time, or say there's some wildly long wait time. I don't know her name, but every time there is an issue, it's the same groomer. She acts like I've inconvenienced her for simply showing up and asking for a service exactly how their policy states that it's provided, and how it's been provided to my dog regularly for nearly a decade. I would love to be able to make an appointment so I can stop wasting my own time too. I'm not even trying to go during peak hours on weekends or anything - I purposely go during the weekdays to try and avoid the busiest hours for both of our sakes. I'm extremely tired of having to load the dog up, drive out there, and ultimately just ending wasting an hour of my day, for absolutely no reason, especially when the service takes at most 5 minutes on this dog. I get it if they're short staffed too, I'm not trying to be difficult. But please, allow appointments to be scheduled for this service, or at a minimum answer the phone so I can see if it's even worth the time to drive out there.

Clean, friendly, and has everything you need for your dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, etc. There are some bird items with low quantities available, but this is probably due to the global supply chain issues and recent snowfall in the local region.

This PetSmart injured my family member, Skittles. This is what happens when my family member gets a haircut, full bath, and nail trim. His dewclaw was chopped off and now he has to take pain and anti-inflammatory medication every 12 hours for the next 21 days. I called the store and talked to the grooming salon manager and then the store manager, Armando. The store manager never inquired about my dog's health status and never acknowledged that the incident happened. Furthermore, the store manager didn't even offer any apologies for the incident taking place regardless of whether he thought that his PetSmart was responsible. The only thing he wanted to confirm is "when did it happen?" That speaks volumes about this PetSmart location. Never again at this location and pet parents beware. Fortunately, the staffer at PetSmart Corporate acknowledged the incident, offered apologies, and provided additional guidance concerning this incident. Special thanks to Banfield Pet Hospital and the medical staff that provided awesome care. They confirmed the cause of the injury and confirmed that the injury didn't happen overnight. Special thanks to Fawn, the PetSmart Pets Hotel Team Lead, Monroeville, PA location for her empathy and generosity concerning the hospital bills. No PetSmart location is created equal. By the way, if you do board your pet at the Reston, VA PetSmart location, ask staff how often do they clean the facilities and whether any dogs there have giardia, which is highly contagious. Purchase a Robo hamster last spring 2021. She just passed away Jan. 3rd due to heavy labored breathing, low stamina and very weak. Vet said likely death is because it got sick from another hamster. Please look into the quality and care from whoever they are purchased from.

This is the best PetsHotel I've ever been to in the entire country. They got us a reservation during the Christmas holiday when all hope seemed to be lost. They always take care of our dog and treat her like family. Would recommend!

I took my puppy for a beginner's training class. It was amazing. I learned a lot and my puppy has changed tremendously. I highly recommend.

This location has a Pet Hotel, and I am very pleased with staff here, very courteous and professional, they give attention and love to your pet. My fist experience has been positive. I would rate it 5 stars but I wish they could install a livestream webcam in the play room / day camp so that there was chance to see your pet. Other competing businesses offer this feature.

Get my dogs food and toys here. It’s fine. Took her to get groomed here and they cut her under her armpit. About 2 inches long and 1/3 of an inch across. What is worse is they didn’t even tell me when I picked her up. Found out the next day when I was scratching her belly.

This location has proven to be a terrible experience time and time again.. on our last visit, when I took my puppy for a B&B, which includes several things, they only gave a bath and brushed the puppy, not even bothering to do the rest (nail clipping, paws trimming, sanitary area trimming, etc). They excuse was that I has to explicitly ask for it?! Insane.. This seems a lot like FRAUD! If a business lists 5 things under a package, than they should honor that and deliver! I really hope that customer protection agency will into it closer. I talked to the manager of the grooming salon to address the concerns and, she could not be any more rude, and advised that I should go check other Petmsart locations, because they cannot provide quality service. Also, talked to the store manager who promised to reimburse for the B&B, and after that never heart back again.. SUPER DISSAPOINTED!

This PetSmart is fine but the groomers are a joke. They always have trouble finding my records and last time they lost them entirely. She told me rudely that "we asked you to bring your dog's rabies records on the phone." I admittedly forgot because they already had them on record from the last time my wife came in. I told her my dog had the rabies tag and she said that wasn't enough, I asked why? She told me their systems were wiped and lost everything. Poor customer service experience. I had to spend ten minutes on the phone trying to obtain the records and once I received them I was told I was late for my appointment. I was literally standing right there with the groomer. I told her this wouldn't have been an issue if they had better record keeping and she told me either way I had to schedule another appointment. I still provided the rabies records but the next time I went to book I was told I couldn't book there anymore. I will be calling their corporate offices to talk about their poor record keeping, rude staff, and exclusionary practices.

If you have a guinea pig, you'll have better luck finding what you need on online. There's a very small selection for certain small animals. The dog and cat selections are wide, but I try to stay away from their dog treats as it's not always healthy. They sell out very quickly on certain dog food too

Overall it's a good place to shop for my cat. The cat grass is more expensive than Petco but the quality is not matching Petco. They mentioned that the offers or deals on petsmart.com cannot be used in-store. They seem to be two different systems, though they still manually applied discounts for me last time.

This location has a very slow cashout, always a wait in line even if it's just 1 person, something is wrong with how they manage that. They don't carry much by way of limited ingredient non 'meal' meat food for cats and dogs but they have a great assortment of clothing and chewy items. They also insist pets are leashed which doesn't make sense.

Absolutely discriminatory towards people of color with dogs! I called to ask why my dog was denied and was hung up on by the grooming manager!!! I stated I would like information to file a formal complaint and she hung up the phone on me!! I asked if my husband was white would this have happened and she stated “I don’t like your attitude”!! I am highly upset and will still pursue a formal complaint!

If you want to buy fresh water fish, do not come to this PetSmart location! There's maybe 15-20 different types of fish to choose from, very disappointing.

Very useful and helpful staff i forgot my credit card at home and they help my cart of items on the side for me until i returned to finish completing my purchase. Recodmend this location by far if you want a great expierience for your furry friends ans affordable pricing along with great customer service.

We love this Petsmart's grooming service! Terence has now groomed our retriever mix, Sara, twice. Both times have been great! She comes back to us looking perfectly cut and you can really tell they put a lot of care into the service. Our dog struggles with some separation anxiety and Terence always knows how to make her feel so comfortable. All of the grooming staff is always super friendly and welcoming. We used to go to a more smaller local groomer (to help with her nerves and to support small business), however, this Petsmart has gone above and beyond our expectations. We will continue coming here for her routine grooming! Thank you Terence and all of the grooming staff! You guys are great!
