Exceptional staff. Super loving and very thorough. Really care about their patients. Will be calling this place home for my pup.

I have followed Dr. Katie since she began practicing in the area after vet school. She is a gifted clinician who truly loves her patients. Now that she has opened her own practice, this is the only place our animals will go. It is entirely patient- and customer-centered and provides state of the art care. And her team is wonderful! Dr. Katie has provided our animals (with complex medical conditions) the highest quality of care while simultaneously ensuring their comfort and quality of life. After multiple vets disregarded one of our cat's symptoms, she wouldn't rest until she got to the bottom of things. It turns out, he had heart and lung symptoms caused by a bacteria not commonly found in cats. He would not be alive today without her. Dr. Katie is an outstanding veterinarian. She also has a wonderful network of specialists that she doesn't hesitate to bring into the care plan when needed. Thank you, Dr. Katie and team!

I have taken my dog to Veterinary Park Potomac several times, and the care and tenderness the entire staff shows is truly amazing. There is such a warm friendly atomsphere as soon as you walk though the door. My dog has had routine check ups and most recently eye surgery. Dr Katie explained every aspect of the procedure as well as what to expect for after care. The time she took with me and my pup was very comforting, and I highly recommend Veterinary Park Potomac. Very convienent location as well.

My well-coordinated visit at VPP started with an email reminder and ended with a perfectly sized discharge summary. I have all of the information I need to make the best decisions on behalf of my new rescue dog. I've never seen a facility or had a veterinary experience like this before. The staff greeted me with joy and were so excited to see my dog, he really liked this. The nurse, Val, was extremely knowledgable and put my dog at ease. Dr. Katie sat on the ground with my dog almost the whole time and made us both feel good. I don't have a lot of experience with dogs so she had to educate me a bit and did so with an infectious interest and without condescension. They drew blood for labs and were able to process everything right there. I'm so glad I found this place.

This was my first visit and I was very impressed. Dr. Katie is kind and very thorough. The staff are very helpful. All in all, it was a great experience.

Dr. Malehorn and her team are leading the change of standard of care in the pet care industry. I have never been to such a calming office that works to put not only its patients at ease, but the clients as well. From walking in, reception was caring and friendly, taking the time to greet me and my dog. The office and rooms were open and exceptionally clean. Assistants took the time to get to know my dog and tailor to her needs. Dr. Katie took her time examining my little old lady. My dog takes trazadone and previously has been beyond fearful at the vet, but had an amazing experience with Dr. Katie’s gentle approach. She performs her examinations thoroughly, making sure to address all concerns you may have while keeping your pet comfortable. They offer top of the line veterinary care and go beyond for their client’s experience. This is the exact kind of veterinary practice the Potomac area was missing!

We were new patients for Dr. Malehorn and her team after relocating to the area and were really impressed with all aspects of our visit. Very professional, listened to every concern, not rushed at all. Overall a great experience, will return for all future vert visits for our Bernese Mountain Dog.

They’re wonderful. Called them the night before Thanksgiving due to an emergency and they were waiting for us and quickly sprang into action as soon as we arrived. Professional, compassionate and caring. Highly recommend.

Dr. Katie and her team were professional and personable. They were gentle and thorough in their exam of my cat. I appreciated that I never felt rushed as they took time to listen to my concerns and offer practical advice to help my cat get back to feeling his best. I will be visiting them again with all of my pets.

I can't speak highly enough about this veterinary practice. They were able to get my sweet girl in for surgery after she injured her paw within a day. In addition, my dog is normally terrified of the vet, but the team spent ~20 minutes just petting her, talking to her, and giving her treats to ease her anxiety. Dr. Katie answered all of my questions, made sure I was comfortable with the procedure (and the cost), explained everything thoroughly, and gave me incredibly detailed instructions for how to care for my dog post-surgery. The team has since checked in multiple times without any prompting and answered any questions that I have had immediately. Everyone has been warm, welcoming, kind, etc. and most importantly, my pup is happy and recovering quickly thanks to their amazing care. I would recommend this practice to anyone!

We have known Dr. Katie Malehorn for almost 4 years. Thanks to her expertise, our dog, Percy, no longer has gastrointestinal issues. Dr. Malehorn is an outstanding veterinarian and she is kind, caring and compassionate. We are thrilled that she is taking care of our Percy.
