We just had to share a truly above and beyond experience we had, and express our appreciation to everyone at Custom Canines. Our dog is 16 (going on 17 in May) and has always been touchy about grooming. He has a bad back leg and started having accidents from old age, and soon really, really needed a good bath. The team at Custom Canines was so attentive and understanding to Rookie's needs, and when we picked him up Rookie was over. the. moon! He looked like a puppy! They really took their time to make sure he was thoroughly clean and alerted us to a possible infection (luckily turned out benign). Rookie had such a great time that when we tried to clean him up after a fall he stood still- for the first time! We are so appreciative of Custom Canines for taking such great care of Rookie, and relieved to have found a groomer for him.

Lisa is terrific! She cares about her clients and their owners. This is a terrific place to bring your pet for a long term positive relationship with the groomer.

We found this groomer right after we moved to this area and we love them. They are professional and since our dog does not require a haircut or blow out, they have been very accommodating whenever we call and ask for an appointment. They also have the cutest bandanas and I always love picking up our dog to see what she'll be wearing after her bath.

Custom Canines managed to turn my beautiful dog into an ugly dog. I have a Coton du Tulear, and always have her cut into a "puppy cut", which is adorable and makes her almost look like a stuffed toy. For some reason even though she has been there many times and always gets a puppy cut, this time somebody decided to SHAVE HER HAIR OFF everywhere except her head and part of her tail. I have no idea how anyone could make the decision to do that. Anyone who knows anything about dogs knows that a Coton is known for their beautiful white hair and now her entire body is so bald you can see her pink skin perfectly. They even shaved her adorable fluffy paws so now they are bony and hideous. I am so upset. Somebody at Custom Canines knew they messed up big-time too, because they called my husband to warn him of their mistake before he picked her up. I'm not sure how they can employ people to groom dogs that do not know how to groom. This is a disaster. They did not charge us but I don't really care about the $80. I want my cute dog back. Also, it's almost winter and now I'm going to have to buy her a sweater so she doesn't freeze with no hair. Stay away from Custom Canines!!

My dog goes to the groomer 2 or 3 times a year and I have been consistently happy with Custom Canines. They do a clean, thorough job and listen to what you ask for. They know their breeds and mutts and run a tight ship. You aren't getting champagne and foot massage but you are getting consistently superior work. ***You NEED to make appointments in advance, know that they take cash or check, and generally are busy.*** They're busy because they do an awesome job. I've always gotten back a happy pup with a good cut/trim, bathed thoroughly, clean ears, and smooth nails. No Petsmart/Petco hack jobs here.

Owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. They go a good job. There's usually a waitlist around the holidays. Used a mobile grooming service because waitlist was so long. Wished had waited. Not only was mobile service terrible, mangled the cut and was 50% more expensive.

Love this place. The groomers love dog's. The owner is very knowledgeable, straight forward and runs a tight ship. The haircuts are done nicely all the way to trimming their toes.

have a friend that uses them and she loves the place. I stopped on day to inquire about my pet. couldn't have been ruder. saw me standing there, completely ignored me to talk on the phone. by the conversation I could tell she was chatting with a friend, asking if anything else was going on. working hard to keep the conversation going. then would look my way only to turn her back to me. I got it, don't want my business. not a problem, found a great place in Vienna. and by the way, that was the owner.

I have taken my dongs here for many years. The grooming is always fabulous, as is the loving care!

They gave my dog the worst hair cut ever. They asked for cash only. She did not smell like she was washed. Absolutely NO!
