Dr Popa is the best.

Dr. Popa and his staff are great at what they do and truly care about animals. They have gone above and beyond normal care many many times in my experience. One example, his staff is always helpful and answers all my "common sense" questions... even when they are after hours. I have always felt heard and Dr. Popa and his staff does a great job helping me understand (in layman's terms) what the diagnosis/summary of the visits are. Another example, we were a little nervous dropping off our rescue to get spayed 2 months after meeting us, but Dr. Popa's staff sent us a photo of a happy puppy and that put us right at ease. To top it off, Dr. Popa & staff made the CUTEST sea creatures on our pup's dewclaw removal sites. The service we receive feels as if I we are part of his immediate family.

We have known Dr. Popa over 20 years and cried tears of joy when we found him again, open not far from where we live. He has cared for all of our animals and done wonders. We trust him completely. You cannot do better for vet care.

Dr. Popa and his staff are truly amazing. I believe that he truly cares about each of his patients and their owners as if they were his own family. He clearly explains everything so that I know that we are always making the best informed decisions when there are different options for care. When we recently moved further away, we tried vets that were more local to us, but could not find one that compared in terms of attention to detail, compassion, or professionalism. And frankly, our pets are always excited to go see him, so that must be saying something, too! As long as he and his practice are there, that is where our pets will go for care and checkups. Without hesitation, I will always recommend him to anyone asking for a vet.

My dog was in the care of Seven Locks Animal Hospital from when we rescued her until we sadly had to lay her to rest last week. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Popa's professionalism and compassion in treating my sweet girl , from beginning to end. His staff is incredibly competent and compassionate as well. They never made me feel like I was being annoying, even though I know I was ! I was trying to think of a downside, but there is none! He is very straightforward in his care. When he feels another opinion is needed, he has no problem saying so. At the moment, I am not ready to adopt another dog, but know that when the time comes, I will be entrusting Dr. Popa and his staff to take as good as care of my new pet, as they did my last !

Dr. Popa is a most caring veterinarian. He treats each animal with respect and wisely advises the animal owners as to the health of the pet and any suggested procedures or medication they need. Our 2 cats, 15 year old and 9 year old, are very healthy due to his care.

Dr Popa is the absolute best. He provided stellar care for our family's dog from his prime, all the way to his twilight years. He was never afraid to make a referral when he didn't know the answer, but more often than not he had the answer. He's now the vet for the newest puppy addition to the family and has fielded all of my anxious, first time puppy owner calls with grace.

I learned about Seven Locks Animal Hospital three years ago from a fellow dog park visitor and have been beyond impressed with Dr. Poppa, Liz, and the entire staff. I appreciate that they only recommend necessary procedures. I have been to many vets over the years but Dr. Poppa is the only vet who got down on the floor with my Bichon, Sugar.

Dr. Popa and his staff are excellent. They are all knowledgeable and helpful. They seem to really genuinely care about each animal. Even during COVID times, the staff are quick to respond and helpful. Dr. Popa himself gives very personalized care and will explain everything to you after the visit. When we have called the front desk with a question, he personally calls back to ensure the best care.

Dr. Popa and his staff are exceptional. Caring and competent. Always feel like our dog is in the best hands here.

Dr Popa is a diamond in the rough. While other vets recommend uneccesary tests to rack up the bill (taking advantage of your emotion towards your pet) Popa is a straight shooter. Our dog had a boil which we weren’t sure of and he explained what it was (basically a big pimple) and didn’t even charge for the visit even though he could have. He and his staff care about your animal, not ripping you off.

Very friendly staff, and Dr Popa is great. Really seems to care about the animals and does a great job listening to any concerns you have. We just moved in the area and have found our new vet!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Popa and his staff since I rescued my girl, Rosie, last year. Firstly, they are all very kind, helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. Rosie was a victim of Hurricane Harvey down in TX last summer (2017). When I got her she was malnourished and had several open, active sores/infections on her shoulders and hind quarters. Through both oral and topical antibiotics, Dr. Popa treated the sores, and they were fully healed within a month or so. After several months, I decided we needed to remove the dewclaws on her hind legs. Dr. Popa administered full sedation and removed her dewclaws *flawlessly*. They healed no problem, and you can’t even tell they were there. Then, most recently in August of ‘18, she had a strange growth in the fold of one of her ears. It looked like a mole or wart, and he suggested to leave it alone unless it bothers her. Well.. it got bigger, she scratched it, it opened, and became infected :( BUT! Dr. Popa to the rescue... he administered minor sedation, and used a laser to remove the large papilloma in her ear fold. It’s now a full week later, and it has completely healed. I could not be more THRILLED with Dr. Popa’s suggestions and care. He is very knowledgeable, caring, gentle, and understanding. He has provided *premium* care for my girl, Rosie!! :)

Same day appt. Reasonable fees.

We have known Dr Popa and his office staff for nine years. He treats our dog with love and care. Even though our dog realizes he in probably going in for his annual shots, Dr Popa gives our dog adequate time to relax before taking him in.

Wondeful place to get dogcare

Would give this animal clinic 6 stars; Dr. Popa has always taken the best care of my dogs. He practices preventative medicine and refers to specialists when needed (there's such a thing as a veterinary opthalmologist!). This is a man of great compassion. Very kind staffers work with him. Another review mentions the facility equipment; Dr. Popa invested heavily in lab and advanced equipment when he took over the practice.

No complaints (which is rare for me)

Dr Popa has taken care of our two cats for over two years, including dental surgeries. I like the direct contact with the veterinarian. At other places we tried before there seemed to be layers of waiting rooms, nurses, and office staff that appeared ridiculous and expensive, and took away from the contact with the actual veterinarian. My experience so far has been extremely good in terms of interaction with the vet, so I feel I can recommend him.

We take our kitty here and she's received excellent care.

We love Dr. Popa! He sees our dog and cat, we wouldn't trust any other vet with their health. And he is always considerate of pricing. Great Vet!

After Dr.Popa took over the practice, SLAH isn't the same. Every visit, we felt Dr.Popa was trying to sell us everything and anything under the sun for our dog. SLAH lost the personal touch left by Dr.Clemons.
