I only came here because of one particular doctor I liked. The rest of the staff was pretty cold, including the front desk. For about 1.5 years I came here on a weekly basis for services, and they rarely acknowledged me when I came in. Instead, I'd have to awkwardly stand there for several minutes. Even if they were busy they could have made eye contact, greeted me, and told me they would be right with me. Several times it looked like they weren't working on anything and just didn't feel like greeting customers.

My husband and I found Falls Road Veterinary Hospital over the Internet because we were looking for a Vet that could manage our dogs export process to Australia. They took the leadership on this huge project running the exams and procedures required to achieve the goal and managed the different stakeholders to make it easier for us. The process run smooth and they took care of our dogs (and us as well) achieving a successful export process. We are very grateful, we really feel they provided tons of value and we strongly recommend them.

Well managed care for your pet. I also like that it is very convenient to my home with great parking. Not 5 stars because they give good quality services but are quite expensive, even for the area.

They are the best in the business. Staff is incredibly friendly and professional and the Doctors are amazing. Whether I am taking my dog there for medical reasons or for boarding, I always know that she is going to be in great hands because they treat all of their patients as if they were their own.

Could not have asked for a better experience! Our dogs are extremely nervous as the vet but the whole staff made them feel at ease. They took excellent care of our girls and we will definitely be back.

We have been taking our four-legged family members to Falls Road Veterinary Hospital since Dr. Amoroso opened his office down falls road below river road and would go nowhere else. We used to live in Potomac, and after moves to DC, overseas, and now to Chevy Chase, we continue to drive out to Potomac for care of our pets. Dr. Patty Ainsworth, as the new medical director, is wonderful. She is kind and professional, and takes whatever time is needed to patiently explain what is going on and what treatment is recommended. Nothing is cheap these days, but we feel that we get good value at a reasonable cost.

I have nothing but good things to say about Falls Road Veterinary Hospital. I have been bringing my kitty here for almost 10 years and I would never go anywhere else. The staff and veterinarians are always very friendly and have always treated both Maxey and myself very well. They genuinely care about the animals and are always very accommodating to me. I would recommend very highly and without hesitation. I have tried many veterinary hospitals with my previous kitties and Falls Road Vet hospital is by far the best.

My 14 year female old dog seemed to be failing fast. In 24 hours she went from walking to unable to hold her head up, and her head was rotated 90 degrees, ear to the floor! She couldn't eat, vomited her breakfast, and would take no water. I couldn't get her into the car to take her to Falls Road Vet in Potomac, MD, but they recommended a "traveling", Dr. Deb. I won't go into all the details, but she gave me a guess over the phone, which was encouraging; came the same afternoon; did an exam; administered a saline drip to rehydrate her; showed me how to do that, too, the next day; prescribed medication; and provided me with several ways to contact her "any time." We have stayed in touch daily for 6 days now, and she came back on the third day to monitor my dog's progress. she is now walking outdoors, and doing her business just fine! The walks are short and frequent, as she regains her strength and balance, but she seems well on the way to recovery in slightly less than one week!!!

I went here because it is close to home and they have dealt with rescue kittens before but I’m leaving because: 1. When my kitty was spayed, they failed to call me when she was discharged though they said they would call - when I called they acted like I shoulda known to come get her hours ago. 2. When I picked her up after she was spayed they handed me meds & forms but didn’t go over any of it or explain when to give the meds, what to look for, when I might need to call or any helpful information. 3. The other day I overheard another client say she had to go to another vet for her dog’s UTI because Falls Road could not give her an appointment. 4. Today the vet called in response to my email & said it was ok to start my kitty on meds for her lesions but when I called back I got vm & when I showed up there was no record of the call & the staff acted like I was crazy - they would not call the vet to confirm. They said I had to wait 2 days until that particular vet was back in the office!

I have gone to this vet for over 20 years with 7 pets. 4 of which they have also taken care of their final life stages issues. I am going today to deal with a terminal illness for one of those dogs that the staff has done everything possible to help with. The staff not only cares for your dogs/pets but they love them. I can't thank them or recommend them enough. Special thanks to Dr. William Amorosa and Dr. Foust for their efforts and kindness Thank you The Weaver Family

My Goldendoodle, ASCI, has been taken care of there for the past 10 yrs. I walked in, without an appointment, as he has been in pain and laboring. NO other dogs or patients were waiting. No cars in the parking lot. I described his issues and asked to see the Doctor. An assistant at the desk come out and tells me that this will be considered as a "emergency visit" and the MINIMUM charge will be $150.00. I simply asked then following: "Are you seriously going to charge me a emergency visit after 10 years of treating ASCI "? The response was yes, that would be the "Emergency fee". I asked how many Doctors were in the back. She said there were 3. I asked for a copy of all of ASCI's paperwork. It took about 10 minutes to copy his records (aprox 40 pages). I took ASCI immediately to the New Dr. Boyd's facility on Rockville Pike. Dr. Boyd's is Beautiful, New with cutting edge technology and is filed with happy, caring people. I explained ASCI's issues, the Dr. came out almost immediately. The Dr. spent 40 minutes with ASCI and gave him a full, hands on Exam. He prescribed a pain killer and a new on the market muscle relaxer. I was in the exam room throughout. The Doc was so engaging, full of knowledge and handled ASCI as if he was his own. The charge for the "new patient, 40 min exam, 2 prescriptions for 30 days? $120.00. I STRONGLY recommend that you no longer patronize Falls Rd Veterinary Hospital and I also STRONGLY suggest that you visit Dr. Boyd's in Rockville Md.
