Always kind, efficient, compassionate, friendly. They have made all of our companion animals feel better and special (including a rat). The amazing doctors and staff are patient and caring even with dogs whose previous life has turned them into scared meanies. They say, "He did great!" even though we know he was a jerk the entire visit. Always generous with advice and flawlessly sensitive in the saddest of scenarios (Staff member Jess stayed with our dog Molly to spare us additional grief and provide her with invaluable comfort). We are eternally grateful for the care we have received at Brandermill Animal Hospital.

We have used Brandermill Animal Hospital for our hamster and our rat. The doctor takes time to talk to us, making sure that we understand all of the information. She takes time to discuss all aspects of my pets health; she explains further steps we can take to proceed with care, and what it entails. She has provided us with information for all potential outcomes. The office always follows up with a phone call several days after the visit. They are so genuine and caring- we love them!

We have been vetting with Dr. Kissler for close to 30 years. We have always trusted her explicitly when it comes to the care of our Furry family members. Their staff is always been very caring with us when we’ve lost a furry family members too.

I have an older cat (BEAR) who has not been himself lately. I brought him to Brandermill Animal Hospital & was a nervous wreck. The demeanor & thoroughness of the staff put me at ease. Physically BEAR was found to be fine, sans fleas. I will take care of him until the end. Thank you staff!!

I took my furbaby to Brandermill Animal Hospital because she has been having issues with her ears for so long and I couldn’t get it corrected. Brandermill was recommended and I thought I had nothing to lose so I took my girl there and couldn’t be happier. The vets there treated her with love and respect and packed her ears because she had terrible yeast infection. We were given a couple of remedies to try and so far everything is going very well. I’m so happy I took my girl there for treatment and will be using them for her future needs.

My experience with Brandermill Animal Hospital has always been positive. Regular pet care, elder pet care, and welcoming a new puppy. Excellent COVID precautions and great staff and all great doctors.

I only work with this office periodically, but it’s always a satisfying experience! I really feel like they work hard to get things right. One time I needed some meds over the weekend and they did whatever they could to help. Thank you for that!

Dr. Gudaitis is the best of the best. She treats my cats has if they were her own. Both my cats and I absolutely love her! We would never go elsewhere!!

Brandermill Animal Hospital has given my 18 year old yorkie Lexy excellent care, they are compassionate and understands my love for her. My phone calls have always been returned and I have never had a problem arranging appointments. The doctors and there staff are wonderful. They have taken care of us for over 15 wonderful years.

They gave Jake (my dog) his annual check up, and they were as friendly and thorough as always. I love bringing my pets here.

We have had BAH as our vet since moving to Richmond in 2015. They have cared for two Corgis, and four cats. They have compassionately helped us when it was necessary to let two of our "children" go. The vets and staff are always professional, caring, and friendly. We will continue to use them until we no longer have any pets to care for!

Best animal hospital ever. They treat Mocha with such love and care and I wouldn't trade them for any place else!

We adopted a motherless litter of kittens about two months ago and we took them to Brandermill Animal Hospital the first week we had them to get them checked out and make sure they were okay. We have since returned for immunizations and checkups and we have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone we've had contact with! The vet is very knowledgeable and personable and everyone there has been so nice and patient! They've answered all of questions and been open and honest with us and we couldn't be happier! Thank you guys for all you do and we will continue to bring our babies to you in the future!

I have been using Brandermill Animal Hospital since moving to Midlothian last year. They have been amazing and are affordable. Not only do they provide friendly, thorough service, but also take exotics. My bunny had a paw infection that we found late afternoon on a Friday and they got him in that day and were able to get him squared away quickly. Highly recommend.

The Brandermill Animal Hospital staff are terrific! They all truly love every pet and provide the best possible care. My dog has allergy issues and they are on top of the best options for keeping his problems under control. Even though I live in the West End, I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Brandermill Animal Hospital worked extremely hard to fit my dog in for a last minute appointment (after calling 11 other vet offices!). The staff were very knowledgable and took excellent care of our dog. Would definitely recommend this animal hospital!

They are awesome you can tell they really care about their clients!

Short version: Highly recommend Brandermill Animal Hospital. They really care about animals, have excellent customer service, and will not try to “upsell” you on anything. Longer: My last vet broke my trust this past August when she did something to my cat without my permission. Then I moved and mistakenly did not made it a priority to establish care with another vet. Thus, I found myself without a vet when my cat couldn’t keep any food down on a Friday night. The ERs in the area were booked and couldn’t see him, but Monday morning a kind receptionist at Brandermill Animal Hospital checked with the doctor and then told me they would work my cat in. Dr. Kistler took excellent care of him. She’s knowledgeable, thoughtful and cautious in her approach to diagnosis and care, personable, and her whole team there—and I mean every person I interacted with over two visits and over the phone—was caring and kind. They have called me to make sure my cat was doing well on the treatment plan we decided on. He is and I’m very grateful to everyone at Brandermill Animal Hospital for being there for us when we needed them./ Rosemary Stevens

The staff was very pleasant, polite, very knowledgeable, and professional. My bird a sun conure tends to be very vocal, but all the staff was amazing with him no screaming or bitting. It was clear that this is more than just a “Job” to them. I strongly recommend bringing your pets to these professionals!! It’s the only place I will return too!! I cancelled the appointment and scheduled a home visit with a mobile vet. However, the appointment specialist at Brandermill Animal Hospital was courteous and completely aware of my circumstances and very accommodating. She made me feel comfortable.

Dr. Kistler and her crew never fail to amaze me. They're all kind and professional and go over and beyond to meet the needs of you and your pet.

Not sure about the doctors, I hope they are nice, because the women I just booked my appt with was not. I may just cancel it and look for another place that works with turtles

I had a wonderful experience at Brandermill Animal Hospital this week, my cat has been newly diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism and they were very quick to offer us a appointment and start therapy on my senior cat. Staff was very professional and caring.

We are so pleased with Brandermill Animal Hospital. They make you feel like your pet is their favorite by always making over him. Hannah took care of Nelson (who can be a little shy) yesterday and she was so good with him. They listen well too.
