I was scheduled for an appointment this morning; the staff was running behind without notifying their clients. After calling the support center, I was informed that the staff was running late due to the weather and was told they would be there by 09:00 for the appointment. At 08:57, I received a call back after I had already arrived after driving through the snow myself to be inform that they were going to be closed. I have no problem with them closing it was the poor communication That's the issue.

It was a little tough to figure out which location our appointment was at. Be sure to clarify that when you make your appointment if there are multiple locations in the area. When we got there, they were incredibly kind and caring for my cat. It was extremely affordable which is hard to find with a veterinarian. My cat got great care and it doing soooooo much better. I'm going to start taking my dog there too!

Very friendly and quick service

Impossible to get and appointment. The email address address they give over the phone to book your appointment returns an error. It's actually the wrong email address... They can't book appointments that cross the month. Their system is so archaic. They mistyped the year of the pets vaccination, etc etc. The list goes on. It's cheap, that's the only good thing I can say about this place.

What a lovely vet and wonderful technicians. My dog is terrified of new people and can be a handful they cared for him kindly and gently and helped with some solutions to issues we have. Affordable prices attentive care I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

Why are you not lifting COVID restrictions? Curbside service is cruel. No one hands their kid to strangers in a parking lot when they are sick. Why should we do that with our sick pets? I was ok with this when COVID was a concern but that is no longer an excuse. I will change this rating if I can actually see the kind of service my pet is getting.

This is the worst vet I’ve ever been to. Within less than 30 minutes, the vet explained he couldn’t restrain my animal and he “didn’t have all day”. There are many other awful factors that went into our day at this vet, but, I know at the very minimal we paid for an exam which certainly didn’t take place. My poor guy has a very obvious ear infection and they didn’t even bother to mention it. We are out hundreds of dollars for services this vet didn’t even complete. I highly recommend ANYWHERE else.

My first time coming here. I couldn’t go in with my dog due to “covid” regulations. My dog was very very hesitant to even go in the center. My dog was in and out in less than 13 minutes. He was “examined” and received 2 vaccinations in less than 10 minutes. I asked the nurse who walked him out what exactly was examined for $50? Her reply was advice was about wax build up in cropped ears which is known. I probably won’t be coming back if I cannot get a more professional and accurate description and print out of the “services” they perform. Not to mention the wait on the phone lines for assistance.

They provide truly exceptional service at the most affordable price. Everyone from the veterinarian to the veterinarian technicians are always friendly, positive and thoroughly kind-I never have any doubts that my dog is going to be treated with the utmost care throughout the visit. I have recommended Value Vet to every pet owner I have encountered- I cannot say enough good things about them! Thank you so much for always taking excellent care of my playful (feisty) pup!

Awesome service, Vet explained everything for our pets first visit and didn't feel like visiting a used car dealer. Also staff were friendly and helpful. Already made next appointment and glad to find our new vet.

I have been going to the McLean location for a few years now for my 10 yr dog and really liked the veterinarian there. However, in the last year the quality is terrible. When I would show up for my dog appointment they would tell me I don't have an appointment even though I booked it a month in advance. That happened the last 2 visits and they claimed their new IT system was the issue. Then today I showed up and they told me they have never seen my dog before and can't vaccinate him. I made the appointment 2 weeks ago and no issues were mentioned. When I took off from work to show up for the appointment they told me they couldn't vaccinate him because they hadn't seen him before even though they had administered all his puppy shots since Sept 2020. While I was waiting I had the vet call me since I am waiting in my vehicle due to covid and he was talking to me about someone else's dog. While it is hard to get my phone number mixed up since I have an out of state phone number, he claimed he called me by accident and hadn't seen my dog yet but how did he get my number then?? Wow, it was awful. Evidently there are new people working there who are very unprofessional and unreliable. It's scary when they get the patient files mixed up! I regret recommending them to my friends. Please take your pet someplace else. I have requested my dogs' records be transferred. Please do the same for your pets.

Not a nice doctor! Tried to blame me for my dog’s behavioral issues instead of offering a solution like medication. Also the doctor did not even check my dog’s records to see that he wasn’t up to date on parasite checks and vaccines. Very negligent. You get what you pay for - substandard care.

My border collie is looked after very professionally by Value Vet. Honestly, the organization name sounds cheap but I don’t care. The prices are a lot less than other vets in the area for good quality care. I know the (lovely) owners of another vet hospital nearby and still choose Value Vet.

This place is not good. I went there for first appointment but they said the vet was not there. So second time I went there to get my cat a physical exam and shot. But the lady did so quickly in like 5 mins. She said everything was fine with the cat. I was shocked. My cat had fleas and ear mites but she didn't mention that. I wonder if she ever actually performed the physical exam. Also the lady taking the phone calls sounded not very nice either.

Value Vet is perfectly named. Good quality service at very reasonable prices.

Dear Value Vet, Please define “BRIEF.” I waited 26 minutes to make an appointment that took 30 seconds. If it had been a true emergency I would have been frantic. I asked the polite young woman on the phone if she was the only person in the country answering the phone for Value Vet and she said she was. Poor business model.

Great place, veterinarian treat our dog with love. Explains very well the treatments, meds,etc. Highly recommended.

Great place. Very utilitarian but I liked that. Vet and assistants were great. I needed an urgent, unplanned visit and they got me right in, despite the fact that we're new to the area and had never been before. They've got my business.

WOW!!! Going to a new vet can be stressful...Not this time..Value vet you are fantastic..the entire staff is awesome. Some veterinarians and the staff will shy away from large dogs but, not this time. It was so comforting to have the everyone welcome my dog Ghost with open arms and so much love and care. Thank you!! Been going here for about a year and a half but I'm tired of dealing with this vet. They are slightly cheaper than McLean animal hospital but they make you pay in other ways. 1. They don't do prescriptions over the phone or fax, you need to go in to get a written prescription. 2. I was trying to refill a heartworm prevention medication and they said they wouldn't do it unless I order through them. 3. All my exams feel extremely rushed and the vet doesn't go though things thoroughly. We are moving our dog next door for her vet needs.

Great 1st visit with Dr. Cook and Rena. I have to say Dr. Cook is the master of giving shots and deworming a rambunctious doodle. Nice clean well run vet office.

I called to get information because I plan to get a pup in a few days, I was concerned since the dog is over due for its shots. I got all information including the shots and procedures needed for over due 4 month old pup PLUS final costs! To put my mind more at ease it’s all within my small budget ???? Cannot wait to schedule the appointment and meet my new family member Sox! Thank you for being such a great establishment!

I tried Value Vet after realizing my current vet was expensive to get my dog neutered. I experienced great service — easily scheduled appointment, they called me after it was done, sent me a pre-op video to watch and a few days later when I had a concern about the inscission area being swollen they were more than happy to see my dog to make sure everything was ok (for free). Total cost was $220 with surgery, meds, etc.

Good value and friendly staff. I needed diagnostics for a sick cat that my regular vet could not provide, so went to Value Vet for a blood test and X-ray. They spelled out a plan of diagnosis and gave me a clear estimate of costs in advance, suggesting exactly what my regular vet had said was needed. Then they started treatment and sent me home will medicines that have cured the cat and gotten her back to eating. Great value and great service!

After 3 years and 2 dental cleanings I found out they did not honor the price quoted did not do a proper cleaning. I found this out when went for a second vet. The vet told me that 12 teeth had to be removed and she was in pain. This was less than a year from the last cleaning at value vet. HORRIBLE

Both Falls Church and McLean are wonderful. I was glad to be able to take Kasha there knowing she had a UTI and what shot she needed. The exam and meds were far less than I'd pay at my vet's office. My only complaint is the smell at the Falls Church office. Someone explained it's the building itself, not their facility.

Love this place! Even though it’s a chain, it feels like a mom and pop shop. The staff if very nice, responsive and the vet is accommodating. Best price I’ve found too.
