Don’t go to this place. They charge way to much for mediocre services and make you wait a long time to be seen. There any many other quality vets who won’t do this to you.

Great Vets and customer service.

I've always had good experiences at Old Dominion Animal Hospital. Everyone is professional and takes the upmost care with my pets. But for bigger procedures, such as neutering, extensive blood work, dental cleaning, etc., unless you don't care about spending a lot of money, I recommend expanding your search for a vet outside the DC area. For example, I save $1,000 and more on dental cleanings (and that savings jumps up dramatically if my pet needs to have any teeth removed) by going to a vet that's an 1.5 hour drive away. And the vet I go to seems just as knowledgeable, professional, and caring. This area is more expensive all around, and vet care is no exception.

The people who work here are all so incredibly kind and patient. The space feels welcoming and pleasant and clean. I've boarded my cats here before and had them seen for health care, and both experiences have been wonderful. I really can't say enough about how caring they are—and they are very clearly NOT just trying to charge as much as they can for whatever they can, which sadly cannot be said about every vet group. They are without a doubt the best practice in the DC area!

The most experienced & great Veterinarian in McLean area. They listen and take care of my pets. They love my pets and treat them with kindness and care. Love Dr. Felton, Dr. Robertson and Dr. Austin. The staff, nurses and technicians are great. Also love their boarding and they explain everything. They also use the best meds for my pets and they explain the side effects. Everyone should understand the side effects before you give the meds to your pets and this group makes sure you understand. No limits to ask questions. Thank you so much for being kind and such professionals for my pets Greatly appreciate it.

Very caring vet service. Just a little pricey.

They're great! Very attentive, smart, and great at what they do. My dog was pooping blood...so much so that it scared me half to death. For a very reasonable cost they were able to identify that it was just intestinal irritation and diarrhea resulting from us being terrible dog parents and giving him too much human food. It must have been the cayenne. I'm kidding. They were lovely and understanding and didn't make us feel bad at all. Plus they let calmed me down and assured me that an anti-diarrheal and a couple of days of observation at home would likely be all that was necessary to solve the problem. They were right and it saved me a ton of money.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. First rate doctors who are actually interested in my pets well being.

On July 2nd I bought a Nissan Murano from Travis. Little did I know the cars check engine light was cover and concealed 3 major electrical codes. Today I found out that all the airbag in the car are turned off and the front radiator sensor y broken/missing. The dealership bill came up to $6,280. I am heart broken I bought a car which I was told didn’t have major issues with it. I saved for three years and now that my wife and I had a baby we wanted an SUV. What a nightmare, Travis and his husband McKinley were deceitful. They claim to know that nothing was wrong with the car and yet they sold a young family a vehicle that in the case of an accident the airbags would not even deploy. In a desperate move to fix thing my wife went to Travis job after failed attempts to get in contact. He and his husband claim no wrong doing and will not help us with the absurd repair cost to even get the vehicle emissions passed. McKinley told my wife that she should figure out how to fix the car and that they are so broke that they can’t even repair this wrongdoing. I can’t believe people like this even exist!

Love this place very peaceful

My boyfriend and I are first time dog parents. We needed a vet and honestly this vet was the first to pop up on our Google search plus It is close to our apartment. I am so happy that we picked this place!! Dr. Austin is super knowledgeable and spent almost 30 mins on the phone with my boyfriend and I answering questions about first time pet ownership. I really appreciated the time she spent answering our questions especially since we couldn't go in the clinic since we got our puppy Reese in April 2020 during the very beginnings of covid. Our pup Reese got spayed there too and the clinic made the process super smooth. The front desk has done a great job of always calling us back with any questions we had. We are super happy we picked Old Dominion! We thank you for your service and so does Reese :)

All tuckered out after a day at daycare! Both our dogs enjoy daycare and boarding (back when we traveled). The staff is amazing and showers our dogs with love.

They are great. They offer a lot of services in addition to boarding. My dog hates boarding but she doesn't seem to mind this place. I have boarded her there twice now and have always felt like she was well cared for. I would board her there again if I needed to.

I was very happy with the services provided for my cat when she became sick suddenly and our usual vet was not immediately available. The cost may have been a little higher, but my interaction with Old Dominion and the curbside services provided was very positive. I recomend them and appreciate them doing the tests we needed quickly even though we had no history with them.

Monty loves visiting here and they always provide great care for him.

Amazing Place and Great Staff. The staff are very professional and really do care about your pet. They work very hard to make sure that your pet has a great experience at staying apart from his/her family. Travis L. Jackson is one of the leads at Old Dominion, He has been a great help to us. Our pet loves him and she always had great experiences stay with travis and the team. Thank you again Travis for always providing the top of the line customer service and giving NuNu ( our pet) the great care.

I was a client at McLean Animal Hospital for 12 yrs. but began to lose confidence in the professionalism of the staff. I am so impressed with everyone I've dealt with at Old Dominion.

Dr. Austin and Felton have taken great care of Sebastian, Devin and Domino since they started coming to ODAHC. The staff is very helpful always and a call away to answer any questions that may arise or for last minute changes.

The veterinarians there are very knowledgeable and full of compassion.

Went to pickup an emergency antibiotic and B12. Received a well packed bag with "be careful - glass" on it, so I didn't open it. Got home and the antibiotic wasn't in there. Had to go back to get it, an hour plus round trip, plus double toll road tolls. Not happy.

The cages for the cats seem small.

An excellent place to take your pet in for all types of animal services. A well trained and helpfull staff member is always there to greet you. Seperate dog and cat waiting areas that actually cater to the animals themselves. A trully wonderful collection of vets and vet techs that honestly care for your special friend. Not money driven. I highly recommend this vet care facility. Even more so if you have a retired professional work or service animal. Love you guys !!!

Love this place! All of the vets are so professional and caring and really know their stuff. They have your pet's best interests at heart and have always made me feel trusting of my dog in their care. I used to take my dog to Banfield Pet Hospital, but since my dog is now very senior (16 yrs), the more specialty care he receives from old dominion animal health center is worth every extra penny! Highly recommend.

Outrageously expensive... Office visit prices,dental, neutering way out of line!! Much better pricing and service elsewhere..
