Dr. Boorstin's excellent care has helped our dog enjoy a longer quality life than we thought possible with her initial diagnosis. He always takes the time to explain and answer questions about her condition in language I can understand. The CVCA staff is always pleasant. They send prompt and detailed report follow ups. The only challenge is getting an appointment. I highly recommend CVCA.

Thank you to the Dr and all involved for making a difficult visit go so smoothly and for taking great care of our cat and us! The great care and compassion that was taken with us and our cat, the efficiency of the visit, good communication, the thoroughness of the written report and the informative post-exam discussion we had with the chance to ask questions are greatly appreciated.

Best experience ever. I felt the team cared and were knowledgeable about the issues and course of action. How everyone explained each process and what to expect. How the doctor (Dr. Bill Tyrrell) listened to my concerns (not all vets do this), addressed the concerns, provided guidance into next steps, explained every detail, answered questions, and was overall super kind and thoughtful throughout the whole process. Super grateful to Dr. Bill Tyrrell, Heather R, and the rest of the CVCA staff. It was a great investment in my fur-baby's health and my piece of mind.

My family is very grateful for CVCA. We most definitely would have lost our kitty without their care and expertise. The doctors and staff are absolutely wonderful. I appreciate the level of care and concern shown and given to our cat, Oliver. We almost lost him last year and CVCA absolutely saved him and our hearts. I cannot say enough to express our gratitude for everything they have done.

I had a great experience at CVCA. Only complaint would be that it the earliest appointment available was two months out and in Leesburg (coming from DC). A good problem to have! Great people!

Great specialist care for your animals! Would recommend to anyone needing cardiac specialty care for their pets! Staff was friendly and the doc provide easy-to-understand explanations of what they're doing, what the tests are, and their results/recommendations.

This was my first experience and I found your availability, clarity and professionalism outstanding. You were available for an emergency echocardiogram so my 15 yr old chihuahua could have eye surgery that same day.

I know specialists can be expensive, but the information they can give you from their exams and Doppler is outstanding and I now have taken 3 of my dogs there now in the past 30yrs. I'm so grateful they are here for us!!! The kindness of everyone and they take their time and their knowledge is outstanding!!

My (almost) 13 year old Maltese has a heart condition and was just diagnosed with Lymphoma. We had to get him cleared with a cardiologist before chemo so I brought him here and we saw Dr. Boorstin. I've taken Buster to a lot of vets over the past couple months and this was the first time I've been allowed to come inside, which was really great for someone with a very anxious pet. I was able to go into the imaging room with the doctor and vet techs and watch them perform the ultrasound and Dr. Boorstin did a great job of explaining everything to me. I never had to leave Buster's side, and it was really awesome to be a part of the process. Everyone on the staff was very kind and professional. I really appreciated this being an easy, non-stressful, positive experience in the midst of going through the stress of having a terminally ill pet. You guys are great, thank you for all your help with little Buster. He and I are very grateful!

We have been coming to CVCA for almost 2 years now because of my fur baby's leaky heart valve. Initially, I was scared to death that I might lose my girl imminently, but have been so happy with the plan CVCA has come up with and we are actually in a better place now than when we started because of their careful attention and thoughtful treatment! Thank you so much to everyone at CVCA! The doctor takes the time to talk to you and really explain what's happening with my fur baby. I appreciate the excellent bedside manner and wonderful communication skills of everyone at CVCA!

We love CVCA! They provide detailed explanations of my pets health, and the obvious care with which my pet was treated is of the utmost importance to me.

I am so glad CVCA exists!! Tyrell and Kane have been wonderful over the years, and Welten and Boorstin are great additions. And the fact that they are housed with other specialists means that they offer more than just cardiology. They offer a major part of the world of veterinary medicine. (Missing reproduction?). This kind of synergy is hard to find elsewhere. Expensive? Yes. But well worth it In this case, both Boorstin and Welten went beyond the normal cardio exams to find out what was wrong with my dog, Sirius.in a routine cardio visit, Dr. Welten "noticed" that his liver seemed enlarged, took the time to look more carefully, and suggested a blood test for liver enzymes. That led to a wellness exam at his normal vet where blood was found in his urine. He was prescribed an antibiotic, but, though Welten’s exam notes were available, my normal vet didn’t think to have an ultrasound to see WHY this was happening. Well, two days later, Sirius started collapsing. He couldn’t walk three steps. I requested an emergency appointment at CVCA to look at his heart, and we got one immediately. Then, Dr. Boorstin, in finding no changes in Sirius's heart, didn't just say something like "well it's not his heart" and leave it at that, he said "let's have a look around" and, though it is not his specialty, and though it took extra time in a very busy schedule that we had been slipped into for the emergency visit, did a preliminary ultrasound on Sirius's abdomen. Without that extra care, we wouldn't have found the rupturing/bleeding mass on his spleen and he would likely be dead by now. Going that extra mile made all the difference. Then, did we have to go out and find a surgeon to remove that mass? No. Because CVCA shares space with other specialties, Sirius immediately went into more tests and then the surgery (from Dr Taylor) that saved his life. This is a great team, working together to keep our companions and working canine partners in health and happiness

Everyone at this practice is caring and kind. I drive about 75 minutes and it is worth the drive. The Veterinarian cared about my dog and was very good explaining his condition.

This facility and people are welcoming and wonderful! It is clean and comfortable. Love Dr. Boorstin! He takes the time to explain and make sure all your questions and concerns are answered. He is gentle and caring. I noticed the white noise machine in the exam room which I think helped my dog keep calm during her visit. Nice touch! The technician ( I unfortunately don’t remember her name) was so sweet to my dog.

I've taken my dog to the emergency hospital here as well as the cardiac center and all around the service and the people here are excellent! The time Dr. Emily took to make sure I understood exactly what was going on with my dog was amazing.
