The emoloyees and Dr. Kinsella are the most professional, caring and kind staff! They go beyond for my Maltese and answers all the questions my sister and I have. So glad we picked the right veterinary clinic.

Thank you for taking care of Jen for my wife and step daughter. Your kindness and empathy helped our journey in saying goodbye to our beloved Be-Bop

Super nice, professional, thoughtful staff/vets. I came in with a new puppy and a million questions and they were all super helpful gave me a puppy take home bag with boat loads of information. 10/10 will be taking my puppy back without any hesitation.

We went here to get a yearly booster shot for our dog and were met with very friendly and cheerful staff. Our dog also has ear infection problems which they helped with adequately. Highly recommended! We'll definitely go back here ourselves.

I was very happy with this place until my last interaction with a new front desk girl who was very rude and unprofessional. Everytime I pick up medicine the friendly staff brings it to my car since we are not allowed to go in because of covid. This time I called to pick up the medication. I asked if she could drop them off for me since my dog was in the car and I didn’t want to leave her. she said no. I went to get it from the door and when I asked if they could make it easier and bring it to the car like always she shut the door on my face while I was still talking. So sorry for the management for having these kind of employees represent their practice.

So grateful for the HAMC team! My pup needed an ASAP visit for what we would find out was pneumonia. The HAMC team got us in at their earliest availability. They were beyond friendly and helpful to get us seen same day. The team was so caring, I immediately knew we were in good hands. They were informative and helpful to make sure my dog was comfortable during the visit. So glad I found it this center!

I can’t say enough good things about this clinic. The staff is amazing and very polite. I have a puppy, ziggy, who has unfortunately became a frequent flier here and they take such good care of him. Every part of any vet visit is explained, and I love that they’re so transparent with my dog’s care. Prices are very reasonable and they always try their hardest to fit me in when I need it even when their parking lot is packed. The techs/doctors/receptionist’s kindness and amazing care my dogs get, makes every penny worth it. Also I don’t think I have ever had to leave a voicemail, they are ON TOP of the phones.

We take our puppy Pudge to the Herndon Animal Shelter. They provide great service and are so friendly and quick! Our puppy is usually fine at the vet, but on her anxious days, the staff is so attentive and caring and do a great job of making her feel comfortable. I highly recommend!!

I don’t know what I would have done without Dr. Baxter these last 4 years! She’s simply the best, along with everyone at Herndon AMC! I’ll never be able to thank them enough for their compassion & care for my dog Matty!

We always receive such great care at HAMC! The staff are friendly and attentive, and I feel confident my pup is in good hands there. Dr. Baxter is kind, compassionate and very thorough every time we see her. The office's Covid procedures are well thought out and work as smoothly as possible under the circumstances (pet owners stay in the car and staff take the pets in and out of the office).

Their Covid protocols are great! The tech that came out to get my pup was so nice and really listened. She also was so loving to my dog and treated her with care. When the Vet saw her, she called to discuss everything and tell me her findings. She was patient on the phone and I felt like she, too, really listened. I do think their fees are a little higher than average, but all in all, they were great and are now my new Animal Hospital.

This is the best place to take your little one for care. The staff is very friendly and show much love to your pet. We moved out of Herndon but still bring our dog Toby here because we are so satisfied with them.

Fabulous practice. Over the last 21 years we've had 6 cats and 2 dogs all cared for by the vets of Herndon Animal Medical Center. One of our cats even enjoyed going there. He loved to roam around and see things.

IN MEMORIAM: Duke, "Dukester,” Tarby passed peacefully after a courageous battle with trying to be a good boy this past Valentine’s Day. Born a mix breed and all rescue, he spent his first few years in and out of foster care as he simply outgrew the hearts of well-meaning humans. In 2007 he met Kimberly Tarby and knew that finally someone understood: he wasn't a bad dog, he was just really hungry. Proving an old dog actually can learn new tricks, Duke spent the better half of his life exploring the joys of being canine. He mastered total pillow domination, and the art of morphing to the exact dimensions of a queen-sized bed. He learned to take the lid off the food bin, the lid off the garbage can, and the lid off the Tupperware container with the grapes in it. He helped around the house by clearing and washing the dishes, even when people weren't done eating. And he helped his owners with their weight-loss journey by clearing the counter of a pizza, an entire box of cheese-its, a pan of quesadillas, and a few cup cakes (it was not his birthday.) He could sit, shake, and roll over . . . but his biggest trick was he could lap whipped cream straight from the can and had a masterful disappearing act whenever he heard the vacuum running. Duke took seriously his call to protect and serve. He never let a doorbell ring without his direct intervention, always warned the neighborhood when the winds were high, and restricted the squirrels to a designated tree line. He knew to never trust a solicitor in a suit or people who exercise in padded spandex. He daily inspected the foundation of the house by digging a six foot hole, and protected his family from any potential suffocation by removing the stuffing from every comforter they ever owned. Duke loved deeply, snored loudly, and always let you know exactly what he was thinking. His affection for his people was as intense as his affection for their pizza. Duke is survived by his little sister Dutchess, his mother Kimberly Tarby, headless stuffed lamb chops, a few bark box toys sans squeakers, a de-stuffed puppy and a heartbroken family that just wishes they would have remembered to give him the last piece of pizza before his passing. The day Duke’s former owner handed him off to Kim Tarby, she sighed deeply and said, "I think I told you all the bad things about him." However, she failed to mention that he was in fact the very best bad dog to ever have lived. In lieu of flowers, Duke’s family is requesting that you spend this week eating the pizza, sharing the cheese-its, and making room on the bed. And most importantly, spend all of your days giving second chances. Because two-legged or four everyone deserves to be loved to their fullest potential. ???????????????? #theroyalduke #rainbowbridge #furbabies

TL;DR — “Do you literally NOT understand English” by Katherine G, 2020 Me no good english. ONE bad bad receptionist. BUT good good Dr. Let me emphasize this first. Doctors and most receptionists are friendly and helpful. Especially Dr. Lizzie Hines, extremely professional and caring when treating my cat. Now let’s talk about the one star. Direct quote: “I mean, Do you literally NOT understand English”. That was a receptionist Kathy’s first comment after she though she hanged up. I was shocked by her abusive comments until a minute later she realized “oops gotta hang up first”. I called back to cancel my appointment, and she hanged up without saying a word after I gave my name. I will leave it to you to judge how unprofessional that was. Here’s the full context. Earlier this week I brought home a kitten from a certified breeder. Her stool was mushy and there was blood in it. I called on Monday and was told that I could drop some sample for fecal test and book an appointment later to review results (the earliest was a few days later). Unfortunately I was dumb enough to have cleaned it up when calling. Today, I noticed blood again. I called and was told the earliest available time would be SIX days later. I asked if I could drop off sample first.l, but got a few NO before Kathy compromised. Then the rest of it. Inner peace......

My family has taken all of our pets here for over 15 years and we've always been happy with their services. They clearly love all pets and show genuine concern about our pets welfare. Everyone that I've interacted with in their practice has been super nice. I'd never go anywhere else!

The staff at HAMC are the best! They are very compassionate and accommodating all of our needs. Our Vizsla is very anxious at the vet and they try many different techniques to help make it an enjoyable experience for her. The extra time and attention to detail is greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend them for all of your veterinary needs.
