Short Pump Animal Hospital Glen Allen, Virginia

I have a friend who was previously a technician at this hospital & she spoke very highly of them. I have been here for all of my puppies visits so far & they are good. Dr. Christine was thorough with the exam & truly heard my concerns & met them with solid answers. We will very likely come here for his neuter. They are a little pricey but it sounds like most animal hospitals in Richmond are. I would recommend this vet.

This establishment, despite the fact that they knew my animal was near death called me back to say because of an issue I had with my other vet facility, they could not see my animal .... animal with cancer .... animal that hasnt eaten in 7+ days ... animal that is throwing up bile. You have to ask if there is any compassion at all with this facility. Given covid and financial issues people are having, you would think they would be a bit more accommodating and willing to work with you.

Had an emergency with my son's hamster and they made time at the end of the day to help him and they gave us hope that he could recover.

Dr. Morlino shows dedication in her diagnosis and treatment of our old dog who has been extremely ill several times. She is very thoughtful about the treatment she gives our dog and we feel our dog has lived longer because of Dr. Morlino's knowledge and care.

I have used Short Pump animal hospital for a few years now. They have taken great care of both of my large bunnies & I just recently added a kitten to the family. She woke up with one of her eyes swollen shut on a Sunday. With her only being 13 weeks old, I was very concerned. They were able to fit us in immediately & took great care of her. They also gave us some great advice in caring for cats. Would recommend them to everyone!

They did an excellent job and even called back 3 days later to follow up.

I have two dogs. One is scared of her own shadow. The other is crazy with chronic health issues. Needless-to-say, trips to the doctor are always super stressful. But the vets at Short Pump Animal Hospital - and we’ve seen them all! - exhibit excellent bedside manner and do everything possible to connect with your dog to make them feel at home. The staff is also excellent and demonstrate tremendous patience. Bottom line, the people genuinely care here, which makes all the difference.

Everyone here makes even the hardest of visits brighter with their good energy. Dr. Morlino is brilliant and compassionate, and can be relied upon for sound guidance. There aren't enough stars to rate this treasure of a place.

These people clearly care about the animal patients and their families. We brought our 16 year old cat to them when she was in a bad way. We knew euthanasia was the most likely outcome, and they did what they could to make her comfortable, while being very compassionate and comforting to my wife and I.

Saw something in my cat's bm and immediately Googled the closest vet with good reviews. Short Pump Animal Hospital had been on my list of possible vets for awhile due to proximity and the great reviews. I called immediately and they got me in that day. Everyone was so professional and nice. Were so incredibly kind to my cat, took great care of her, and everyone was patient with me in my worried state. I have found my go to vet now and I definitely recommend them. Thank you everyone at SP Animal Hospital!

I'm fairly new to the area and I have a very shy dog with a lot of medical issues so to say I was apprehensive would be an understatement. Short Pump Animal Hospital has been very accommodating and is very good with my dog. I definitely recommend them.

We took two of our furbabies to Short Pump Animal Hospital for a full grooming. They came back looking beautiful and smelling clean - not smelling of perfume. I really appreciated that because I'm highly allergic to fragrance. We'll definitely be going back again!

I have been taking my dog(s) here since they were puppies (now they are 5 and almost 2) and I have nothing bad to say about Short Pump Animal Hospital. The staff, doctors, etc. are all very responsive, kind and wonderful to work with. My dogs have such great care with them, I couldn't recommend them enough!

The quality of care here is unsurpassed I have never been happier with a veterinary experience. Highly recommend. Actually I just told one of my friends to take her pets here and nowhere else. Fantastic!

The vet was wonderful, very caring and gentle with my little dog. He was afraid but both the vet and her assistant were extremely gentle and put him at ease by petting him and speaking to him though out the entire examination. You could tell they have a real love of animals. And the vet was thorough, she went beyond to look closely at him and his skin issues. Then she worked with me to stay within my budget for his shots and treatment. I walked out of there extremely happy at the loving care he received.Also, loved how they take all covid precautions to protect not only staff, but clients. And took the time to answer all my questions. Highly recommend.

I set up an appointment for an international health certificate for my pet dog and Dr. Morlino was extremely accommodating and professional. She called before the appointment to confirm some details and when we were delayed for the appointment time, she was still able to fit us in. Can’t say enough about the kindness, professionalism, and flexibility the doctor and the other staff showed. Highly recommend this practice!!

Wonderful experience with this office. Walked in the door and they were ready to take me and my dog immediately, so none of the scenes of animal standoffs that occur in other vet's offices. All of the personnel from the front office through to the vet were extremely professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with. They took x-rays and performed treatment very quickly and took great care of my pet. Would thoroughly recommend this practice.

They are very thorough. Dr. Morlino personally called me and explained everything. I was texted as soon as the bloodwork had returned. Great place!

Stephanie, the groomer , got our dog in within minutes of our call after I shared that he needed a sanitary shave and was in so much discomfort. The front desk staff was so helpful and so compassionate for our situation. I was so very thankful

We LOVE this vet office. They have been so kind and so gracious with us in some pretty frightening circumstances. On one occasion we were quoted $4,000 for a surgery from an emergency vet clinic for our cat...Short Pump Animal Hospital was able to do the exact same surgery for under $300. Most recently one of our cats was very sick... we did not expect her to make it. Once again the staff and Dr. Regor were so accommodating with us and made us feel like she was in the very best hands. Our cat pulled through thanks to their wisdom and quick action. We will forever be grateful for Short Pump Animal Hospital.

I had to take my Shihtzu Pup in to be groomed after months if not having a haircut. His hair was matted and we opted to start fresh. Stephanie groomed my fur baby, she did an excellent job. The staff was very professional, kind and friendly. They also took precautions due to Covid and still my wait was quick and efficient. I was delighted with their service.

We have been to so many different vets, but Short Pump Animal Hospital is by far the best! I won’t go be going anywhere else for my pets care! The entire staff is great and always professional. They have fit us in multiple times to ensure our pets are taken care of. I can’t say enough about this place! :)
