When you leave this place after 30+ years like I did-& go to a new vet, check their records.Your new vet might muzzle your dog as you stay in your car waiting because of covid.Theymight have claimed on the report that your dog nips & growls without your knowledge when in reality your dog is very friendly.

I love the staff. They have been truly patient and nonjudgemental of my insecurity when I fist started there. I feel secure that my pet family is getting prudent professional compassionate care. * The traffic can get congested. I enter from Frederick Rd and exit through Chestnut St. Or will only use Chestnut Street, depends on time of day.

Bear loves them. I do too.

I've been going to this practice for more than 40 years. They have always been professional and caring to my many pets, both cats and dogs. And they tell you when your pet needs treatment they can't provide, like for cancer or neurological issues, and don't hesitate to refer you to a specialist. They're the best!

So impressed with Dr Dan's handling of needing to put our 15 year old Aussie down. Although had Aussies 33 years have only had to put one other down. Only been going to GAH the last 6 years or so but he made the whole process easy, expressing/practicing empathy and all this at the end of a full day of seeing pets at appointments. They also make a contribution to Morris Animal Foundation in memory of your pet. The whole staff made the whole experience much easier on us.

They asked me to sign a file, but later modified the content of the file without discussing with me, and this directly caused my personal information to be given away. The nurse who asked me to sign seemed "so nice", but what I found out yesterday from the scanned file was that she added a sentence in the end without telling me. This is absolutely violating the professional ethics and I'm very angry and upset about this. Don't trust this hospital. If the 0 star is the lowest, I'll definitely rate for -10 stars

It’s my first time visiting this clinic. The vet and staff are absolutely great and very calming & helping. Debbie & Emily were taking care of us and they’re both amazing. Definitely coming back again!!!

I have been a client for over 30 years. Today I left the practice. I called to have a dying cat put down and they wanted to do an exam! Are you kidding me?

Great team, very professional and caring. We have been taking our cat Grace to them for fifteen years and they never disappointed us. Easily one of the best Vets in the area and their prices are reasonable.

We've been going for years, everyone is always so helpful and friendly. Even our animals love going there; our dogs, cats, and snake.

We has a bad experience with this place. When I called them for take care our dog, they gave us a very reliable price, but when my husband bought our dog, the price was very high. They argued he needed plenty of vaccines, of course in our regular veterinary they said after he doesn't need it. Well the original price waa $82.00, and they charged us almost $300.00. The other concern to us was our dog lost 3 pounds in just over the weekend, that is to much. when we ask them why, they said is because your dog didn't want to eat. Of course that wasn't true, because we know him and he is always hungry. They didn't feed him. After that our dog was sick for couple days. WE DECIDED DO NOT BRING HIM TO THAT PLACE ANYMORE !!!.

Cannot Stand the front staff. They are always “misunderstanding” things and you come to pick up your dog and get slammed with a 350 dollar visit every single time. The Doctors are great but go elsewhere. This is far too many times.......

Good and reliable boarding service.

They have been caring for our pets for 25 plus years. They are a dedicated and caring staff. Currently, our 15 year old dog is hospitalized here. Dr. Dan and the other vets and nurses are taking great care of him!

We have gone to this vet clinic since the late 1980’s and we’ve taken all our dogs here. Our previous 13 yr old dog had a heart condition. In his last year of life they made sure he was the most comfortable as possible. They’ve respected all our dogs past and present and taken great care of them. In all the years going here Iv never been disappointed. Ask Dr. Lynne.

My cat, Hershey, is a 14 year mixed long haired. Because of her age, I wanted to take the cat to a vet to have the grooming/clipping done in case there were any medical issues. Dr. Deb gave her a complete physical with blood work, then we had her clipped due to all the matted fur. Everything went very well - the staff were very pleasant. Dr. Deb called me to let me know how the results of the blood work and when we could come and get Hershey. I would strongly recommend Gaithersburg Animal Hospital.

Very bad grooming experience that the owner worsened with his reply. They gave our dog a shot without our permission and without knowing her medical history. Trust has been lost in this practice. Happy to have found another practice that cares about our pet and not just our pocketbook.

This vet came highly recommended and I was not disappointed! Just took my dog for her first visit here today and she seemed very comfortable in the office, which has never happened. The veterinarian was very kind and listened to all of our concerns to come up with a plan that worked for us. My dog even seems to love the new vet, which I’m very happy about.

My dogs have been going here for so many years best vets ever I will be a long time customer and it's not far from where I live and my dogs like the doctor they see as well

Great service, a little pricey though. Hey it's not Petsmart! They have always accommodated same day sick visits for whatever reason, dog or cat. We have been customers for over 20 years with different cats and dogs. We have been through Dr. Dans semi retirement and still receive great service from the other vets & surgeons @ GAH. The email reminders for check ups and shots are awesome and the phone call appointment reminders are better then my own Dr. We have used their boarding service for our dog and have been very pleased with the service.

This hospital place is the worst ever they only except by appointments my dog almost died and they did not receive him at all they don't really care about your pets

My cat came back from them recovering overnight from a surgery cringing, believing that people hit cats. They relented on the bill when I demanded to see the overnight video (they keep video, their secretary let that slip). …

Nice staff, but dog had congestive heart failure. Was told that it might go away on it's own. Dog almost died. Went to Dr. Cain, excellent cardiologist who saved my dachshund.

I LOVE Gaithersburg Animal Hospital. I've taken my dogs here for over 8 years. We usually see Dr. Dan but I've seen most of the other vets too. All of the vets are great! They're all very knowledgeable about dogs and very caring. I ask many questions, and all of the vets answer all of my questions. They don't rush me to get to the next appointment. Dr. Dan returns my phone calls promptly and he gives me detailed explanations for all of my questions. I like that he doesn't recommend needless tests for my dogs, so I trust his judgement. My dogs have boarded at Gaithersburg Animal Hospital. They've always come back clean and happy. The front office staff is very helpful and knowledgeable too. They'll always fit me in for an appointment when something urgent has happened. The hours of the clinic are great too--very accommodating for working people. I can't say enough good things about this vet. In fact, I live 15 miles from it and still wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else!

Will not fill prescriptions from other veterinarians unless vets from this facility have seen your pet. Took my youngest cat here when he was a kitten and he was given a medication that my current vet would not have ever given a kitten. Will not ever go back here. I recommend everyone make the longer trip to Laytonsville Veterinary Practice instead!
