These guys are the very best of the best. They’ve helped two dogs of mine, prolonging the life of both dogs. They truly care. They are very responsive and very knowledgeable and will go above and beyond what is called on of them. I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

The dental surgeons here took very good care of my cat's problem teeth. They were professional, competent, kind, and caring. The follow-up care was also excellent.

Held my dog (6months old at the time) down forcibly and was so rough with him he peed all over them out of fear. Find a fear free certified vet or take the drive to another dental vet. It cost $3k in training to reverse the damage they did. He was supposed to be a service dog but can never work due to his fear of people that he did not have before this traumatic event.

Amazing Care. They took such wonderful care of my dog. I hope we don't need to return but I won't be so anxious if we do. They were wonderful.

Took care of my pup a few weeks ago, and he had a wonderful time. Friendly staff, and knowledgeable vets. Quite pricey, but I'm assuming that is just the going rate for veterinary dentistry. Will go back if the pups ever need more dental work.

I never leave reviews, but I just cannot say enough good things about these folks. My 15 yo dog had to get extensive dental work, and we were super nervous due to her age and other complications. Every single person we encountered was knowledgeable, kind, and made us feel at ease. They kept us updated throughout the day of the procedure and have been so patient and responsive with my multiple follow up questions (like I said, super nervous!!). I cannot thank them enough for hopefully giving my little buddy some relief in her last years. Hands down, best vets I've ever been to.

I Highly recommend this practice! Our dog had a mysterious problem - he would Yelp in pain Whenever he opened his mouth more than just a little. Other vets could not figure it out and recommended everything from acupuncture to opening his skull for exploratory surgery! This vet diagnosed it almost immediately and cured our dog with a single prescription! So many vets run numerous tests; it often seems that the goal is to run up fees. This vet did NOT do that, for which I am very grateful.

Gold standard of care for my recent geriatric rescue. Knowing my new family member needed immediate attention, they got me on the cancelation list and was seen within a week. A marathon of a procedure was done that day. As a fellow member of the vet community, I know I was able to provide the best possible care available. Day 2 post op and he's eating better and healing nicely.

Good place. We have a Maltipoo. She has needed care for her allergies and teeth. Friendly.

I needed an emergency dentist to help out my 12 year old cat, Gordon Whitefoot, who had broken off one of his fangs. My regular (and highly recommended) vets, Montgomery Animal Hospital, does not do dental x-rays, so they sent me here. From the beginning I was treated respectfully by their staff. They went over the case in detail, explaining the ramifications of each option available to us. Likewise they discussed the financial options, as it was not an inexpensive procedure. In just a few hours Gordon's treatment was complete. We were given clear post-surgery instructions, and took him home. This was particularly important to me because I was going into cancer surgery myself the next day. I knew that Gordon had received the best possible care, which took one worry off my mind.

Absolutely outstanding. Dr Taney is literally a lifesaver. My cat had a very aggressive cancerous tumor in her jaw. It was a type of cancer that progresses quickly and does not respond well to chemo or radiation, so we were looking into surgical options. We’re so grateful we found Dr Taney, and we’re so impressed with her work. Dr Taney and her team are also very meticulous, caring and responsive. I really appreciated how thorough they were with explaining everything to me at every point -- options, procedures, risks, post-op care, follow-up, etc. I highly recommend Dr Taney and the Center for Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery!

I called them to make an appointment ; the young lady on the phone was so so rude , really not polite and very short ; question after question was fired at me in commando style ; they sure know how to put clients off (I canceled) and the treatment was about 900 to 1100 USD minimum... don't go there, they don't deserve it

I love a veterinary dentistry practice that prioritizes saving teeth when possible, and the doctors here did just that. They employed every tool possible, including cleaning around the root, applying local antibiotic treatment, and some bone grafting in the jaw line where bone tissue had eroded. They took aftercare pain management very seriously and healing went very well. My greyhound's gum line looks healthier than ever and she is lucky to have kept many teeth that many dentists would have pulled without consideration of her quality of life. She's a happy senior! Detailed pictures of every tooth, before and after, are included in her records now, which will be great as we continue to monitor her dental health.

Outstanding canine dentistry care. The vets here are fantastic. Knowledgeable and compassionate. I always receive follow up calls by one of the vets. One of my dogs had root canal therapy on several teeth and it saved his life. He goes back annually for check ups. I also take my other dog for routine cleanings now. I love this practice and highly recommend it.

I can't be more happy with the care that my dog Lucy received at the Center for Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery. My dog fractured a large tooth, had stopped eating, and was in pain. When the local vet school could not get Lucy seen for the next six months, I called the Center for Veterinary Dentistry and they saw her within two days. After surgery, she was eating again and acting like a different dog. I couldn't be more grateful for what good care they took of Lucy!

My cat had a complete extraction and within 3 weeks he was back to eating dry food. Completely healed in a short period of time. Excellent doctors and staff. My vet and I were impressed with his quick recovery. Thanks for your service.

I'm a licensed veterinary technician in both Maryland and Virginia & have worked at veterinary clinics for the past 5 years. I had such a great (and easy) experience at this clinic. Every single staff member was pleasant and professional. I've gone to other veterinary dental centers and this was a great price point without having to sacrifice quality service. Highly recommend! Dr. Taney took wonderful care of my 6 year old, 80 lb boxer mix.

Great place when your cat or dog needs the very best oral surgery. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

Everyone from the desk to the doctor were friendly and gentle. After the surgery the vet showed me a detailed report and patiently went over the after care instructions. Sophia has made a full recovery and is a much happier dog!

We were referred by our local vet to have our cat go to an oral surgeon for her chronic gingivitis and teeth issues. The provider there recommended we have all our cats teeth extracted to save on future complications regarding this. Our cat was 11 years old at the time of surgery and she did surprisingly well as in the past during dental procedures with our local vet she always had complications with the anesthesia. The staff there called during and right after surgery to keep me posted on my cats condition. Post Op 6 months my cat is doing well and she doesn't miss her teeth at all, she still eats dry food too! Overall I had a great experience at Center for Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery. Lastly, they are expensive so be prepared; for a total tooth extraction with bone graft it cost almost $5,000 but the results were great.

We brought our 5 year old cat here for a full mouth extraction. He had terrible stomatitis and stopped eating completely- he was losing weight by the day. Our regular vet was afraid to even try such a surgery- they claimed he had lung/heart issues when going under anesthesia in their care, and suggested a route of extensive treatment to fix those issues. They handed me a card with The Center for Veterinary Dentistry's info. and said 'they may do the surgery- but they likely won't'. I called here after-hours and received a call back immediately from a Doctor. I told her the situation and she said they had seen cases like this before, so I booked an appointment. After meeting the doctors in person, they confidently reassured me he had no heart or lung problems and that they could perform the surgery successfully. The front office staff member here is SO nice- I forget the gentleman's name- but he helps in the back too. He is very reassuring and comforting and even carried my cat carrier to the car for me. My cats stomatitis was SO bad that it was a VERY long recovery for him- almost a year later, he still has bad days but he is about 95% better. These guys are NOT CHEAP- but you get what you pay for- which is excellent care and service. I called after-hours many times and they always called me right back with information and assistance within a short time frame. I really appreciate these guys for literally saving my cat, it meant the world that they tried when my regular vet wouldn't. The only reason I gave 4 Stars instead of 5 was that I was told follow-up visits were no-charge. I was charged for just the second follow-up and they are about 40 minutes away from me. After spending thousands here, it would have been nice to have at least been told I'd have to come out of pocket for that ahead of time. Their pain medication was also marked up about 50$ higher than what my normal vet was charging me. Other than that- these guys are experts and I really appreciate and trust their care for my little guy.

Be aware, He will rip you off, he has not ethics. He will inflate the bill with unnecessary stuff. Last time I took my pet for teeth cleaning it was $2,000. Never again!! If you care about your pet and your money Stay Away! Sad!
