I am new to the area and just visited Falls Church Animal hospital with 2 of my pets. The staff could not have been nicer to me or my four legged friends. Dr. Jacobs did an exam on each of them and the only thing I was charged for was my dogs Bordatella vaccine. I look forward to bringing my other 2 pets to see them in a few weeks. So glad to have found them

We have had to put down two animals recently and Falls Church Animal Hospital people were so kind and caring. It was a wonderful way to say goodbye to dearly loved pets.

My cat was very ill with a bladder infection and I was worried he would not make it. Falls Church Animal Hospital took him in the next morning very early to see him when my own vet couldn't see me until two weeks later. They didn't charge me for the visit because I was a new client, and I only had to pay less than 200 dollars to treat my cat, and got a recommendation for a great cat food to switch him to. I can't express how thankful I am to them for their service, and I'm sure my cat would say the same! :)

I brought my 6 month old rescue, Foxy, to Falls Church Animal Hospital when she was vomiting for 3 days and couldn't get her in at our usual vet's office. The lady who I spoked with was so nice and helpful and got a chart started ASAP. I called the next morning to schedule the urgent care visit and this employee wasn't as nice and interrupted me throughout the phone call, but once I arrived, the vet tech was very helpful and sweet. Dr. Heinz called me right away with his findings and explained what he was going to be doing and his recommendations. He also called the next day to check on Foxy. I will definitely keep them in mind for any other urgent/emergency situations!

My dog was experiencing an allergic reaction. I called multiple vets and animal hospitals but they were all booked up. I called here and let them know about the situation, and they immediately sprung into action. They were able to squeeze us in 45mins before closing. They took great care of my dog and the Dr was very easy to talk to and helped us understand what was going on. The price was great too. 100% would come back.

Getting a clear and straight answer from this practice is almost impossible. They suggest services but cannot answer 'why' when asked. We repeatedly requested to accompany our anxious dog after a bite incident where they 'muzzled' her and were still told no (took 4 days to get an answer). Not a 'fear free' practice, inflexible, unhelpful and at times, rude. We transferred our dogs elsewhere.

At a time when many organizations are having trouble ramping up to pre-covid service levels, FCAH is doing something right! They are responsive to phone calls and email, they have a system for getting appointments in and out promptly, they follow-up with you, and they seem to know and care about you and your pet. The entire staff was pleasant. I'm leaving this review after really trying to stay with my vet of ~30 years, who I loved. But, with a 2 week appt wait time and 6-8 hours wait time for emergencies/walkin-ins, they weren't finding ways to keep the clients happy and they seemed to think they were the only game in town and/or that every vet was having the same trouble. You know who isn't having trouble? FCAH!

I really want to like them because they are the closest clinic to my house. But I'm not sure if we'll stay. I'm a new dog parent and need a bit more informative communication. For example, I never received a vaccine schedule, and when I requested it, I got a document with information that doesn't apply to this clinic. They also had me worried over a core vaccine that they seemingly missed during our appointment, and only after I called and emailed them, I learned that it was done, but they failed to reflect it in the invoice and communicate it to us after the appointment. We also had a test done, and I was told they would contact me with results in two days, but they never did, and now I have to follow up again. I understand that they may be busy with the influx of new "pandemic" pets, but I don't have time for constant follow-ups and searching for the information myself. On the positive side, they are pretty punctual with appointments, and the wait is minimal.

This place is very, very expensive. Which is fine, if the care is good. But it's not. I brought my cats in, one for diarrhea and the other for allergies--I wasn't allowed to come in with them so I had to communicate over the phone. The entire conversation felt extremely rushed, and I wasn't clear on what treatments were being provided, nor did I feel like I was listened to. They threw a whole litany of products and services at me for $700. They seemed unnecessary to me--I thought my one cat just needed some diagnostics to see what caused the diarrhea and the other one some allergy meds. In the end, I parsed through some of the offers, but still ended up with a $400+ bill, figuring the vet knew what was right. Looking back, it seemed like the whole object was just to upsell me on as many things as fast as possible. Again, if the results were good, that would be fine, but my one cat's diarrhea has gotten worse (I had to wipe by far his most explosive case of it off the wall near my litter box) and the other's skin has become extremely irritated and red under his ears after applying what they prescribed (pictures attached). The service just isn't worth what they're charging; you pay 4x as much for half the quality.

I’ve used this vet clinic for almost the entirety of my dog and cats life (10+years) and the staff has been very accommodating and I’ve never been pressured to try a needless product or service. They even found a way to fit us in for end of life services when we were very late for an appointment. There can sometimes be new faces but the vet industry is very hard on mental health so that is likely more a reflection on patient owners being difficult than the practice.

The most trusted in our neighborhood. We feel always assured to leave our dog while we are away.

After relocating to this community, our family cat needed established vet care for a chronic condition requiring prescriptives. We were pleased to find a quick appointment and responsive communication. There was one front desk staff member that was probably experiencing an off day and was not direct or warm and cordial. The rest of our interactions with every other staff member and doctor was outstanding. Our cat has the care he needs and we look forward to future experiences proving that the one, less-than-positive, experience was an anomaly.

I took my cat to Falls Church Animal Hospital for boarding while I was out-of-town. When I took her home, I noticed that she started getting irritated and kept scratching herself. When I checked out her fur, I noticed some little tiny dots on her just to find out they were fleas (see picture). Also, some of the staff members were very friendly, but some were not professional.

Every time you go here you will end up having someone try to sell you on $800 worth of absolutely useless products. The cost of everything is at least double that of every other clinic and they don't try to rectify the situation when you tell them they fixed absolutely nothing. It's all about money here, you're paying for the expensive route 7 real estate, that's it. I suspect most of the 5 star reviewers are the people who live in the mcmansions downtown--if you're working class, find somewhere else.

FCAH has assisted us with the passing of an old dog, as well as the new care and discipline of a 10 week old. We trust them to be honest with us.

We have been using FCAH for over 20 years for both routine care and very sick pets, and have never been disappointed. Even during difficult pandemic times FCAH has made it possible to keep up with our beloved pets' care. Thanks for your dedication!

The receptionist is amazing. She truly cares about pets, was reassuring and worked hard to get my Siamese kitten the same day (through a cancellation) when I had a pressing concern. I highly recommend them!

Our 8 week old Golden Retriever was home for just a couple of days when he developed a rash and was itching, scratching, chewing on himself. We knew we needed to have him seen right away. I called more than a dozen vet facilities to have him seen and everyone was booked out for several weeks. The kind staff at Falls Church Animal Hospital offered to see him the next day for his skin condition as well as provide his first exam and next round of vaccinations. We were sent home with clear instructions and proper medications and are pleased to say that he was symptom free a few days later. The professionalism of the entire staff was over the top. The FCAH has earned our continued business and trust to treat our boy Winston.

We absolutely love Falls Church Animal Hospital and can't recommend it enough!! Everyone I've interacted with is so friendly and helpful - and extremely patient with my anxious pup. Special mention to Naomi, who worked magic to help me when I was in a bind - she is awesome!!!

Only been once, and not inside (Covid), but seemed very nice and the vet had a great phone personality. /And the prices seemed reasonable

FC Animal Hospital always takes good care of our 11-year-old dog, who is a fairly large, rare breed with sensitive skin, ears, and eyes. When a kennel stay is necessary, we are completely comfortable boarding him at FCAH. He invariably comes out healthy and happy. The vets are professional and responsive.

My elderly dog was fading. They made last minute arrangements to see her on a busy day. There was nothing else to be done, and she came home to be euthanized at home . They were kind and caring and did not charge me for her last visit.

I adopted an older cat, Hank, with some health issues. Everyone was so kind and professional. They gave me several options for treatments and answered all of my questions. LOL they even watched Hank when my car battery died in their parking lot. ❤️ A+++

My family adopted Bosco last year and we have been using Falls Church Animal Hospital ever since then. My sister has two dogs and her family uses FCAH for everything so FCAH is now our families' permanent choice of vets. I called one morning with a condition my dog was going through, and even though they were fully booked, they said to come right away. Because of that, I know they really care for our fur babies. I highly recommend FCAH always.

My dog had a large mass on her back and was previously seen by McLean Animal Hospital and diagnosed her her with a cyst and advised me to monitor it. The cyst got progressively worse after an aspiration. They gave me an estimate for over $1500 and could not do surgery until three weeks out. It was already bleeding and ready to burst. I took her to Falls Church Animal Hospital. They evaluated her with a free initial wellness checkup. They were able to schedule her within a few days with better treatment and for less money. She also was spayed and is home recovering. Staff is prompt returning calls and very professional. My other pup will also be a new patient of Falls Church Animal Hospital when he is due for his next visit. Thank you for taking care of my baby. D. Barber.
