Just a great staff. Period.

Not taking new clients apparently, guess the pandemic isn't hurting their business if they are refusing business!

I love Dr. Baird! She is so kind to my kitties! She is very knowledgeable I highly recommend her.

This was an appointment for a new dog that we rescued, so we had a laundry list of questions/concerns and needs. We never felt rushed by the vet or any of the techs we dealt with, and all of our questions were answered thoroughly and patiently in plain language. The staff here is so so so so so kind -- i spoke to at least 4 different people on the phone (april, katie, anastasia, maureen) and they each were so friendly and polite and professional. They were excited to meet our dog and we felt like they really care about our pet the way we do, we felt very comfortable bringing her there. The Vet Dr Baird was also so kind, very knowledgeable, and did a thorough evaluation of our dog, answered all of our questions. We really felt like they invested in our pet instead of a quick in-and-out. Their warmness and thoroughness really made the experience for us, we are looking forward to this being our dog's vet!

Very caring staff and doctors. been taking our dogs there for over 30 years and will never take them anywhere else. The detail and follow up has always been amazing. We recently lost our 11 year old Golden and the entire staff advised and helped us through a difficult situation.

Consistently overpriced and up-selling services. Go if you like to spend >$1000 a year on vet bills for a healthy animal.

We love Merrifield Animal Hospital! We usually see Dr. Baird, but occasionally when the schedule doesn't work out, we will see another doctor and have only had good experiences. Great bedside manner, very friendly and informative. They do a great job of thoroughly explaining medication and providing helpful resources. Our puppy LOVES the vet!

Everyone at this veterinarian hospital is extremely kind and helpful. I've been going to them for 2 years and wouldn't ever want to switch!

It was time for our dog's yearly well appointment when the COVID restrictions were implemented. But it was fine because the team at Merrifield Animal Hospital figured out how to get the exam done safely. It was easy to hand off our dog off outside near a side entrance, we communicated by phone, and he got all the tests he needed and his prescriptions too. They asked all the usual questions and I filled them in with concerns and updates, just like usual. Basically, nothing was missed and everything was included as before, so we were really happy!

They are the best, our dog loves camp and they're always super knowledgeable and friendly.

We've brought our basset hound here for years, mostly for allergies. Very nice professional staff.

The entire staff is absolutely fantastic. They are kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. ALL of the vets and staff have been caring and helpful! I’ve have had the most interactions with Dr Bowlby and Dr Mullens and vet techs Nikki and Rachel. I couldn’t ask for anyone better! They take time to explain what’s going on and they are gentle with my dogs. They always seem to go above and beyond what I expect. One of my dogs is particularly challenging to handle but both Doctors and the techs have been encouraging, supportive, and patient without giving me the impression they dislike my dog or want to give up. They understand behavior and try not to push things too far. Even after a few scary experiences (such as treating an injury on his face) my other dog loves them! This group is so fantastic that even after terrible experiences my dog wants to interact with them- because they are so gentle and don’t rush things. They are outstanding and knowledgeable. After my last visit, Dr Mullens went home and was thinking about my dog. She called me with recommendations after doing research on her own to offer additional help. She’s amazing! I am very picky and I am so lucky to have found this group. I have referred many people to this clinic and ALL have been pleased with the care they receive. Seriously they are great with pets and their owners. That is so important. I trust them 100 percent. EVERYONE I have met there has been exceptional. I’d rate them even higher than a 5 if I could!!

Always been very happy with the care and service received from the staff at Merrifield Animal Hospital. Have recommended them to many friends. They are becoming more popular and harder to get an appointment on short notice. But in a recent serious situation with our bulldog, they squeezed us in earlier than scheduled so that we could act quickly. Thank you.

Best place for my pet ever

Only place I trust with my dogs veterinary needs! They are helpful and informative. Superb service!

Feel very comfortable taking my precious little one to them. Love how easy it is to speak with the doctor, book appointments, refill prescriptions, friendly staff, clean, etc. This clinic is 25 minutes away from my home vs the one I used to go to which was less than 5 minutes away. Would drive even further if I have to to make sure my cat is being seen by Dr. Bowlby. She is AMAZING.

Our experience with Merrifield Animal Hospital has always been great. The doctors spend al the time we need to address our pet's issues, the staff are helpful and courteous. Our dog has always received excellent care.

I just moved to the area and had to bring my best buddy in because he wasn’t well. Dr Baird was awesome and really helped me through a tough time.

I chose Merrifield Veterinary Hospital after reading so many excellent reviews on Yelp. What a terrific place it is! Cheerful, patient communication came from the receptionist, the tech and wonderful Dr. Mullins who spent at least a full half hour as well as follow up emails fully answering all my questions . 8-week old labrador, Zara, received top notch care! A+

We brought our cats to Merrifield for 14 years until we recently moved to another state. I wish I could have packed the doctors, techs, and administrative staff into my suitcase. While both cats need geriatric TLC, the 18-year old male has a few unusual complications that the entire team has accommodated. From a thousand miles away, they continue to be helpful. I recommend the practice unequivocally.

I think the prices are a little high but you get undivided attention and never, ever feel rushed. They offer great advice and are never pushy.

My husband and I switched to Merrifield Animal Hospital after leaving Burke. We love the staff and doctors, especially Dr. Mullins. She is warm and friendly and has such a great rapport with our dogs. She takes time in each appointment to understand what's going on with our dogs and to come up with proper diagnostics and treatments. I love that she spends time personally with us to answer questions and to call with test results. We've also seen Dr. Baird, and she, too, is very warm and friendly and spends time with us and report tests results. The staff are always so friendly, from the front desk to the assistants and LVTs. Love, love, love our new vet and we're so happy to have found them.
