Told me to private message them and did nothing, didn't even answer me. Also, spent 6 months trying to get an appointment while being charged, and told to check back later

No pleased at all with Banfield. Phones are not answered, calls are not returned, difficult to make appointments, many times there is no one at the front desk. When my pet is ill, I at least expect my call to be returned. I pay for my pet to be taken care of and do not believe I get what I pay for. I am told they do not have the staff to provide good care for my pet. That us unacceptable!!!

Always great and friendly staff. Each visit and diagnosis is explained thoroughly and my dog Charlie-Rose doesn't experience any separation anxiety at all.

Some days are better than others..not sure if because of Covid but they rarely ever answer the phone or fax requests from Chewy for prescription refill or from customers to make appt or ask a question!

Never a pleasant or cheap experience. I have one of their rip-off plans, and I still pay more per visit than I did at other vets not taking $55 a month from me

Ok place for a family camping place. No rules are in forced. Little kids driving golf karts recklessly.

I went in for a new pet appointment because obviously I have a new pet & am new to owning a dog. I left feeling more confused than when I came. The woman at the desk tried to fast talk me into some package for vaccinations & other things but didn’t really explain what my dog would need & when exactly she would need it & all the costs involved. The cost for the plan went from about $50 per month to close to $85 per month & of course I didn’t understand what was being added or why. I also didn’t like the reaction I got when I told the employee my dog’s breed: which is a Pit Bull & German shepherd mix. My friend’s two dogs had a litter & she gifted me a puppy, that didn’t require a disgusted sounding “oh, I’ve never heard of that mix before.” Neither had I before I got my dog but she’s mine & I love her. The nurse did provide me with some helpful paperwork about potty training & chewing & gave me a list of dog food recommendations. I left without getting any other service though. I couldn’t bring myself to spend my money at a place that doesn’t even have clear prices listed or posted anywhere.

They are extremely unprofessional and I honestly o believe they cared about my dog one bit. Ie had many vets from different companies and I’ve never felt as neglected as I’ve felt coming here. If you sincerely love and care about your pets, take them elsewhere!!!

Would give one star but they did squeeze me in last minute for an appointment next day. Wanted to get a FAVN done for my pet, but the staff did not know what that was. It took the staff to search it on the internet and ask the vet in the back for answers. Finally told me it was going to be around $450 and additional fees... There are other vets around here that charge only $68 for a FAVN. Do not get scammed. Overall my experience with Banfield is incompitent staff and over charges you on simple examination.

Tried calling for past 15 min and no answer. Recording says they are closed but open at 8. Its 8:15... this will also be the 3rd time I brought my dog in for the same issues in the past month. They dont know what they are doing!

The banfield "hospital" in Colonial Heights Va is not a place to go with any animal you love or even care about a little bit. First time I went the female vet (I won't mention her name) started off with we should talk about your dog's end of life quality. Yes Garry was 9 years old and had a heart murmur but he was still playing with his toys and eating and going on walks needless to say I was not happy with her. The next vet I took him to was a little more tactful but not by much. Garry passed away last Sunday night and on Monday I contacted banfield so they could stop taking $60 a month for his " wellness plan". Once again they showed just how unprofessional they are. By the way it's not just the vets there that could care less about you or your pet. The people at the front desk are just as bad. So after making that call to inform them of Garry's passing they still charged me and then they sent a card wishing him a happy healthy new year... Then when I tried to reach their customer service representative the message was they weren't taking anymore calls it's insane waiting for over 3 hours for a call back. I tried calling the banfield hospital and at 930 in the morning the answering machine still saying that the office will be open at 800. They can't even get it together enough to answer a phone. I miss him so much I had Garry since he was 3 months old and he was such a great little guy he was a maltese and he was a service dog that alerted for blood sugar when it was getting too high or too low. He was 11 years 1 month old when he passed. Save yourself the heartbreak of listening to a vet that looks at your furbaby as a dollar sign other veterinary clinics offer better service and offer their own wellness plans. If I could give this place no stars I would.

Omg! I love Dr. moon she's so friendly and helpful. My first visit with my cat Jack she walked me through everything, she answered all my questions and made sure I understood everything. She even called before Jack was ready to update me on how his visit went and notified about my concerns that I had at the beginning. Amazing staff and amazing service. Thank you all so much!

My girlfriend and I have six indoor cats that are on Banfield's wellness plan. I just took two of them for their yearly checkup and shots. We have had our cats on this plan and been going to this location for seven years. The doctors and staff at this location have always done their best to help in any way they can. I want to mention Dottie, who runs the desk there and give her a shout out and our utmost thanks. She has been there with us in the good times and the bad. We would never even think about taking our furkids anywhere else, unless we had to go to an emergency vet. These folks do a great job, and they deserve recognition for staying open through all this adversity. They are, in my book, the best vet clinic out there. The doctors are awesome and the staff is awesome as well. I'd give them more stars if I could. ????????????????❤❤❤❤

The lack of professionalism, concern and treatment for my pet is astounding. There's no payment plan for the exorbitant cost associated with their subpar service. "Oh well," seems to be their attitude if your pet gets sick. And the wellness plan? That's a joke in and of itself. I will NEVER bring another pet to this trash of a hospital.
