Really nice place everyone was very nice they explain everything that they're doing break it down as to what you can pay at that time which is really good for me. I will recommend them to my friends.

My ten year old cat sassy got really sick and we rushed her to a few different vets and no one would see her so i pulled into this hospital as a last hope and they took her in immediately and treated her in attempt to save her but unfortunately she couldn't be saved she was to sick and to old to make it through the treatment when it was time to let her go they where extremely caring towards both us and our animal making sure she went peacefully and letting us say goodbye to our sweet girl and made sure we where able to be with her when she left and for that i will always be grateful I will be bringing all of my animals to them from now on because people who actually care about the animals are hard to find

They set appointments and they don’t tell you they said them and then they charge you for not coming to the appointment and they refuse to release your records until you pay the money I went to another vet and the vet called them to get the records release and they still wouldn’t release the records also they charged me $800.03 different times telling me there was something wrong with Trina there she had hip problems joint problems I took her to another vet she has no such thing the best that she is a healthy dog they made me come in three different times to pay over $800.03 different times they are a scam it is a horrible place to bring your dog or any animal for that matter all they care about is the money and they refuse to release the records unless you pay them $50 for an appointment and I didn’t even know I had and I refuse to pay the $50 so I told the vet exactly what I had got done with Trina

Our 14 yr. old dachshund with a soft heart murmur had developed an intermittent cough. My wife called this clinic on a Monday. They had no openings so they recommended an emergency hospital to try and my wife took him there. After X-rays and other diagnostic tests they determined that his lungs were clear and there was no evidence of heart failure. The X-rays showed that he could have bronchitis so he was prescribed antibiotics. The next day he wasn't coughing anymore and behaved normally. That night he started coughing again. The next morning after eating he started having trouble breathing and vomited. He became weak and lethargic. My wife called Whiskers and Wags and they they told her to bring him in at 9:15. She dropped him off and told them his symptoms and that he was having a lot of trouble breathing. He was very weak with very labored breathing. She was told they would perform another X-ray to check again for fluid, check his blood pressure and perform blood-work.They called at 12:07 and told her our dog had stopped breathing and asked if she wanted them to try and resuscitate him. She said yes. A few minutes later they told her that they had been unable to resuscitate him. The summary of his visit that we received later was as follows: “Yogi was presented for evaluation of cough as follow up to a visit to the ER earlier this week. He was dropped off at approximately 9:15 a.m. and placed in a cage in the treatment area with bedding and water. He was checked on frequently and was QAR with pink MM, crt <2s, no excessive coughing appreciated. At approx 11:50-11:55 p.m. (initials deleted) checked on patient who was QAR, MM- pk, CRT <2s, normal respiratory effort. At approx 12:00 p.m. He was found to be asystolic in his cage (initials deleted) placed a call to (my wife) who consented to CPR attempt. Prior to intubation he was noted to have a large volume of clear drainage from his mouth/nose. Patient was intubated with a sz 6.0 endotracheal tube and administered 02 with manual ventilation, along with chest compressions. He was administered Epinephrine 1.0 mg/ml 1.0 ml via endotracheal tube and CPR continued with no response after approximately 3 min. He was then administered Epinephrine 1.0 mg/ml 1.0 ml intracardiac and CPR was continued. No pulse detected after several minutes. (initials deleted) (told) (my wife) on the phone and let her know that he could not be recovered. She elects to have her husband pick up Yogi for home burial.” He was brought in because he could barely breathe, NOT as just a follow up for a cough. After 3 hours with our dog waiting in a cage, they had done none of the testing they were supposed to do and he died. They claim to have checked him frequently and he was breathing fine but I find that hard to believe. If they had told my wife that they wouldn't be able to get to him right away she would have taken him back to the emergency vet. We went to pick our dog up and the worker that came out told us that we would have to pay the bill before the doctor would talk to us and give us our dog. An argument ensued and she got the doctor to come out and talk. The first thing she said was that our daughter had called and tried to lay a guilt trip on them and it was extremely inappropriate. Another argument ensued and they went back inside. My daughter heard them say they were calling the police so we waited for them to arrive. After the officers arrived they had to act as a go between as nobody inside would talk to us. The officers told us that they were sorry but there was nothing they could do and that they could keep our dog until we paid and that the doctor wanted us to leave the property if we weren't going to pay. We paid so we could get our dog but they made us pay in cash just to be vindictive (allowing our dog to die while doing nothing wasn't enough). I had to remind them to bring us our dog. If you care about your pet, don't take them here. As others indicated, they are only interested in money.

I took my dog here for the first time today. The SPCA told me my dog needed her toe cut off and they couldn't get to it until 3 months from now. It might be cancerous, but won't know until mass is removed and biopsy taken. I thought I shouldn't wait until then to get it removed if it is cancer, so I went to Dr. Mason to see what she thought and when could she do the surgery. She was very thorough and answered all my questions and at the end asked me was there any more questions. Not rushed at all. Very knowledgeable doctor and pleasant. She can get to do the surgery in 2 weeks. Her prices can't be beat. They are very reasonable for having vet work done. I differently highly recommend trying Dr. Mason. I have found me a new Vet.

Poor communication and treatment. Too many issues to list. They don’t want to own up to their errors, and point the blame at the customer. It’s very clear that Dr. Mason is only concerned with money!

The best veterinarian we have ever been to. We literally followed Dr.Mason from Henrico to Chester because of how great she is. She is compassionate, informative, and extremely knowledgeable. Dr.Mason and all other staff are transparent when it comes to treatment and pricing. At Whiskers and Wags patients are top priority and we always leave feeling genuinely cared for and are comfortable knowing that our 5 dogs and cat are in the best hands.

The best animal hospital that has treated my animals. Dr. Mason is awesome! Technicians are A+.

Wish I could give zero stars. Waste of time. They don’t deal with chewy.com or accept faxes or send them back to chewy.com. Your animal priorities are at the bottom of their list when it comes to prescription food or preventatives. What they sell is what they want you to buy. Not what your animal actually needs.

This place is awesome! I have a cat that is extremely anxious and doesn't like to be held, first vet ive been able to take her to that was able to handle her. They fit me into their very busy schedule and she even came out to talk to me when I picked her up. Would highly recommend, especially if you have a problem child! Five stars!

Last week, we took our sweet kitty Pumpkin in because he had been acting strangely. We agreed to a blood test, and found out he has diabetes. Dr. Mason was so caring and thoughtful, and walked us through the treatments and how to manage it. Now our sweet kitty is doing so well! Thanks to Dr. Mason for being so sweet overall, this place is our vet now.

Really helpful and loving staff. The people working here care a lot. The team is wonderful at laying out all your options so you can figure out what works best for you and your beloved pets. I've always felt welcome, and like they've made my cat a priority whenever we've been in. Not every clinic makes a kitty feel just as included, but that's not the case here. This team loves animals through and through. Because of all their heart, and attention to detail, Whiskers and Wags is my number one local vet.

They saw my sick Toby when his regular Vet couldn't work him in. And they did a follow-up call the next day. I will be using them from now on.

We just got our dog Petey groomed at Whiskers & Wags today and he looked amazing after his groom. Sometimes, he has a hard time walking after being groomed because of his arthritis but he is running around and is so happy! He must've been very loved and taken care of. We will definitely be back!
