Can’t say enough good things about this veterinary clinic. Especially to Dr.Gaffney who has gone above and beyond to help us with our 15 year old St. Bernard. He has a wonderful bedside manner and always looks out to help with our dog, even if sometimes we don’t have an appointment. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top notch Veterinarian! Also his staff deserve kudos they are very attentive to our 100 lb dog. They are the best!

The staff was so incredibly friendly. Upon booking the appointment, I felt comfortable and knew they would take great care of my pets. The vet, Dr. Heitzman, was knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend using Centralia Animal Hospital.

It’s been hard to find a good, reliable vet since relocating to RVA. I was interested in Centralia because they offered the PawPlan. My first visit last spring, the doctor essentially talked me out of it, which was disappointing. I’ve had a PawPlan since I got my dog as a puppy. It was frustrating to essentially felt like I wasn’t heard. Second, I understand the current capacity issues with COVID in terms of being in the room during the visit. However, I would expect some sort of report from the doctor when I pay for a yearly visit and ask specifically about certain issues I’m seeing. However, I did not receive a call from the doctor or a quick outside visit once my dog was returned. I really felt like I paid that fee for nothing. I don’t know if the doctor really saw my dog or looked at her issues I asked about. I hate to bring my dog to another vet, but I’m not sure that I trust this establishment.

Dr. Heitzman is patient, informative, and friendly. He always takes the time to discuss my many probing questions. The staff is nice and their prices are beyond fair. I never feel gouged or cheated and am often pleasantly surprised by how economical they are with rates for visits. We bring our two chihuahuas and cat here and will continue seeing the distinguished Dr. Heitzman.

They were professional and courteous. The doctor shared his clinical thought process, which was most helpful in determining the most appropriate care plan for my pet. They also were very reasonable in terms of price!

They're so nice here. And I like the safety measures they have in place right now. You call when you get there and they come out to your car and get your pet. So you don't have to wait inside with other people who might be sick. Also my pet's love it here.

We've been taking our dogs here for years and have been satisfied until recently. I've had several instances in which prescriptions were incorrect, I've gotten home and medication wasn't in the bag. Now it is almost impossible to get an appointment even when your dog is sick. My doctor stop taking on new patients so they could make time to see patients they have seen for years.....maybe they are trying to see too many pets???

I'm so grateful to have had a friend recommend Centralia Animal Hospital. They take such loving care of my cats, are honest and professional about the care my pets need, and are just generally nice people. I never worry they'll give me bad advice or try to talk me into unnecessary procedures or products just to add to their bottom line. Centralia Animal Hospital truly has your pets' best interests at the forefront of their mission.

As always we are pleased Abbi was sick and as busy as Dr. Heitzman took the time to see Abbi as soon as we made it to the hospital he took time with Abbi we really appreciate all you guys have done for Abbi . Your staff are so kind . Abbi is feeling better thank you all so much. Debbie Sturges

I don't have to say how wonderful every person associated with Centralia Animal Hospital is because my furr son's reaction every time we pull up says it all. I transferred my furr son from another animal hospital after he became so anxious during a visit that the Vet told me he could not return without sedation. This was very surprising to me because this was NOTHING like my furr son. (He is less than 20 lbs, he LOVES attention, has NEVER NOT just "sucked up" people petting him and telling him that he's "such a good boy", and is sooooo laid back and peaceful that it's unbelievable. ) From his very first visit at Centralia ( it was during COVID-19 and I could not go in with him) I knew we were in the right place. He loved being "loved on" and happily went with the Vet. Tech leaving me in the car like "see ya later " . His last visit was no different. (I purposely don't give him peanut butter because I think he associates that special treat with Dr. Gaffney. ) Thank you to each of you! From the front desk, to his Vet Tech, to Dr. Gaffney... Everybody! You are all wonderful! Teddy and I thank you so very much!

The Doctors & staff are always friendly and informative. Dr. Heitzman takes the time to answer my questions and shows concern for my animals. I wouldn't take them anywhere else.

This is such a kind and considerate office! The check in process was smooth and the vet was very thorough during the exams. He answered all my questions and educated me in a relatable and non-condescending way. I loved that as soon as the vet came in the room, he sat on the floor to great my two dogs. The love and care this office has for our animal companions radiates from all of the staff. Truly the best veterinary experience for my pups ????

This was my first visit leaving my previous vet of over five years. My Bella has been having some skin issues due to a recent move and we’ve tried everything ( our previous vet was no help at all ) made the appointment with Centralia got right in . From the phone call to the patient room I was impressed with the care and service. I have never, I mean never been met with such understanding for not just my pet but for my well-being. The staff and Dr. Bunting are caring and loving. My Bella is already on the road to recovery… we have found a new Vet.

I live in Philadelphia and my cat visit Penn Vet and he has a primary care vet. Eventhough, my cat has access to the aforementioned veterinarians the level of care given by Centralia is so refreshing. The staff at Centralia are so professional and caring. The veterinarians are skilled in their craft. They gave my feline the best of care. Additionally, they ask questions about my pet health beyond the reason of my visit. The service igiven by Centralia was a personal. And rewarding experience. I travel from Philadelphia to Virginia once per year just to have my cat serviced. Any major care for Kouckie Lucan I trust to Centralia.

We have been using Centralia Animal Hospital for nearly 30 years now, never any issues. Dr Bunting, Dr Gaffney and the entire family have been helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and gentle with our pets. I highly recommend them to family and friends. I have been bringing my dogs here for a few years and they have always been wonderful. Anytime a vet walks in and immediately gets down on the floor to interact with the animal before even speaking to the parent definitely loves their job. Even the cats are good when they come here. Lol

Very caring staff and reasonable prices. The waiting time to get an appointment is just crazy bad. Injured animal and i had to wait 10 days for an appointment. On line appointment making is good but when you have a choice of checkup or injured/sickness and you check off injured/sickness at least you should do is call the client and find out how sever the injury or sickness and have them be Top priority. In 10 days they could be dead. one other thing is the parking is Bad with all the other businesses in that same area.

Centralia is a great animal hospital with a kind & caring staff. We were walked to and from our car to assist us with 4 small dogs and paperwork. Dr. Molly was knowledgeable and not looking to price gouge us by suggesting unnecessary & expensive testing. They were reasonably priced and even have an online pharmacy for discounted medications. I highly recommend them!

I wish my experience was as good as a lot of these reviews I’m seeing. It was a long wait time on top of the room visibly not getting cleaned in between appointments. I ended up walking out after an waiting an 1hr and 15 min. I typically don’t mind waiting but with how dirty the room was my instinct was to just get out. Also I am a little worried that the guy who checked my cats temperature didn’t actually clean the thermometer after the last patient. Mainly because he didn’t clean it after checking hers and just left it dirty on the counter next to an open pack of lube.

I love Centralia Animal Hospital!!!! They are incredibly responsive whenever I have needed to bring in my sweet kitty Jasper. They show so much love and concern for him and that is something I’ve never experienced with other vets. They do not recommend unnecessary tests and they explain everything they are doing and make sure I understand what’s going on. Dr Molly saw Jasper yesterday and I felt like he could not have been in better hands. It’s a bit daunting to find out for sure that our boy has diabetes , but I felt confident by the time I left that I knew how to administer his new meds and what I need to watch out for given his condition. I highly recommend this practice. Dr Molly’s assistants are so friendly and helpful. I was also very touched as we were leaving that her assistant allowed me to use their carrier because mine was broken, letting me know I could bring it back next week. I’d give 10 stars if I could!!!

Excellent Vet! Every person I interacted with was kind, helpful, and professional. We adopted a dog that needed some attention and they got us all fixed up. The worked me in quickly especially for being a brand new patient and got our doggy in and out fast. Very happy with the staff, the vet tech & Dr. Heitzman were wonderful. Would recommend!
