I had been taking my toy poodle to 4 The Love of Dogs for about a year. I can honestly say the grooming was okay, not what I was use too but it was acceptable. But since they were close to my home and the price was the same as what I had previously paid I continued to use them. About 4 months into going the price increased by $5.00. When I asked why she said that the manager just increased the price. I wasn’t told this before I dropped off the dog, I was told when I picked her up. Okay so the price is now $60 for a poodle. I continued on with them, until Feb 22nd, I dropped my poodle off for here regular grooming at 11:00 am, I stopped by there at 3 after doing some shopping thinking she might be ready and she was still in the kennel.... she had not been touched, no problem I told them I had a late appointment and that I would send my son to pickup the dog. Well they call me at about 3:40 and said the dog was finished. My son picked up the dog and said Mom the price was $70 not $60 and asked if I wanted her cut like that. I looked at my dog and it looked like they ran the clippers over her back and that’s it, part of her smelled like soap or shampoo and part of her smelled just like she did when I dropped her off. They didn’t cut anything off the top instead they stuck some stupid bow on top of her head and my son said it fell off inside their establishment, also she did not have a clean face or trimmed around her feet. It look like she was towel dried because she was curly. When she is groomed her hair is straight and her ears are fluffy. I had none of that. They were closed when I first saw my dog so I called them the very next morning. I explained my concerns and she said she would have the manager call me. By the time I took my lunch break at 12, no call. So I drove over there with my dog and explained my concerns and she said well the manager had to leave for a family emergency but she is going to call you. I asked why the price increase and she said $5.00 for COVID and I was charged an additional $5:00 for having an aged pet. She said that it took two groomers to cut my dogs’ hair because of her age and possible anxiety. I told her my dog has been groomed by professionals since I had her at 3 months old and no one has ever had to have a second person to groom her, she weigh 9lbs. I asked her how much to groom a big dog like a rockweiler and she said $60. But my poodle cost 70 and requires two people to groom her. This is utter BS. I asked her what about my dog you guys didn’t professionally groom her and she said bring her back tomorrow at 10 and we will fix the cut, I decided I did not want to take my dog back for them to fix the cut. The manager never called and apologized. I don’t know if they were having a bad day and I get it about COVID but the aged pet thing that was too much and the unprofessionalism was enough to make me say I need a new groomer.

I have been taking my cockapoo there for over 4 years. Today I called to set up an appointment and told them I need a Saturday or a late day appointment. Was told we only work last Saturday of the month and only do our" regulars" I said ok what time do you close and her response was 6 but our last appointment is at 2. Very rude and uncaring

I tried taking my daughters yorkie to another salon that was cheaper. It was the worst experience! The saying is you get what you pay for! Will not go anywhere else!

This place is awesome. I had a bad experience the day before with another grooming service and 4 the love of dogs took really good care of my dog. Thry fixed up all the patches that was left on her. The best part is my dog was cuddling with her groomer. Everyone was so friendly and professional!!

The groomer was such a wonderful groomer. My dog was in bad shape and she made him look good. She is the first groomer to take time and tell me thing about zee. I didn't ask her name but I dure hope it is on his file.
