I truly can't say enough about how wonder this place is. My dog had to be put to sleep this morning. Emergency treatments were closed. The animal hospitals that were open would not see my dog because I wasn't a client. Airport animal hospital would not put my dog to sleep. How sad is that. No compassion for animals when they are suffering. It should matter if you are a client or not when your dog needs to be put down. I Called Animal Medical Center on Pantop's mnt. and they took me right away. I have never been to this animal hospital and they had love and compassion for me and my dog at this very difficult time. They kept my dog from suffering and put him to sleep. I will be forever grateful to them for what they have done. ????

I personally don't use them, however, my friend has been taking her dogs there for years, and they were very good with her dog yesterday when she was sick. Unfortunately, my friends doggo will likely need a specialist for her health problems. If I didn't already love my current vet, I'd definitely consider Animal Medical Center for my pets.

Our dogs are the loves of our lives. Our vet at this medical center was kind, patient and considerate of how my lil husky was feeling. It means everything to go into a scary place for a scary reason and come out feeling 100% better about the situation. The price was perfectly fair and they weren't pushy on getting us back in for more services or upselling anything.

Dr. McCall is caring, attentive and thorough. She took the time to investigate my dog's leg fracture and carefully prescribe follow up actions. I could not recommend her more.

My many pets, both dogs and cats, have consistently received great care here. Both the vets and the technicians are skilled and compassionate.

We have been using Animal Medical Center for 20+ years and wouldn't want to go to anyone else! Our last Jack Russell terrier lived to be 18 years and 8 months and part of that was due to the excellent care that she received there over the many years! Our cat was also a patient there for his 17 years. They and their staff, i.e. front desk, techs, etc. are all very knowledgeable, helpful, and caring! I think Wanda has been at the front desk from day one! They feel like our extended family! We now just have the one dog, but we know he will also get the best care there!

I'll start by saying that Dr. Schaeffer was great during my cats' well visit and I was happy with the care they received. One of them is on prescription food that I need to order through a vet, and have done so through The Animal Medical Center with no real issues for the past year - until now. I was told the food I needed was in stock when it was not which resulted in a wasted trip (we now live in Waynesboro). It was then ordered and took some time for it to come in. What was frustrating is that I was very clear on what type of food I needed, said the name at least 3 times during the conversation and noted that my cat is overweight and that it MUST be moderate calorie - they still got it wrong. To top it off, they couldn't find me in system and insisted that I was not a patient, even though I'm looking at the paperwork from my cats' annual visit and have ordered food from them every 3 months for the last year - meaning I've been in the office at least 5 times. Does not instill confidence in the practice when they "can't find" a patient who has come into their office more in one year than most people probably do. Will not be going back.

I've been taking my pug here since I got her in 2009. Very friendly people. Clean.
