I have used them for our two doodles for the past year. Always friendly UNTIL Today. As soon as I walked in the door I felt unwelcome. No greeting only a point to the scale. …

I couldnt have asked for a better visit. My dog required urgent TPLO surgery while we were in town for the holidays. After calling 8 other vet hospitals I was being told they were scheduling 6-8 weeks out. I luckily stumbled on lifecare, explained my situation and they my dog in for surgery 6 days later. The doctor was wonderful and the staff was incredibly nice. Thank you to everyone for helping us!

My dog had to have a knee replacement. Everything went well, and she is doing great 6 months after the surgery. I followed the therapy that was provided, and my dog has completely recovered. As for the value of the surgery, I did a lot of calling around because I could not afford the $6000 I was quoted. I was told my dog may need her other leg repaired as well. If I spent the entire money on one leg, then I would not have enough to repair the other leg if needed. So far we have not had to go back. The doctor thought he did the surgery in time before my dog's right knee gave out. So far so goo. Very pleased!

Dr. Ahluwalia and the entire team at LifeCare were not only incredibly professional, but also genuinely caring. My dog underwent bilateral TPLO surgeries with Dr. Ahluwalia, the first leg being completed in May and the second leg in October. The entire experience was so positive that even when we moved 16 hours away we brought our dog back to have the other TPLO surgery done with him. He worked with our new vet in a different state to coordinate continuing and preventative care. Dr. Ahluwalia spoke to me and my husband in ways we could fully understand. Gaby, vet tech?, was very knowledgeable and confident in answering any questions and concerns we may have had. The Wilson Family highly recommends LifeCare and we so greatly appreciate everything they have done for our dog.

My 10 yr Shiba Inu at the end of last year tore both his cranial cruciate ligaments. After an emergency vet visit and a follow up with my primary vet, LifeCare was recommended as an option to have TPLO surgery performed on my dog. I met with Dr. Ahluwalia and scheduled surgeries. He was very professional and was able to answer all of my questions. Post-surgery follow ups and the physical therapy guides he sent were easy to follow and work on with my dog. It's been about 8 months since my dog's last TPLO surgery and a year since his accident. He's been going strong since his surgeries and we even just recently went hiking in Great Falls with no issues. I can't recommend Dr. Ahluwalia enough for TPLO surgeries, he did a great job on my dog.

It took me awhile to actually write this because it pains me to write a negative review. But I do feel like it's an experience that should be known, especially when it comes to the care of your beloved pets. Our dog was seen by a vet at Lifecare for an eye that was swollen. The vet prescribed her with some drops and medication for a corneal ulcer, and then two days later, her eye went completely white. And I knew at that moment, she had lost her vision in that eye. Completely devastated, she was seen again with a different vet at Lifecare, and the new diagnosis was that she had glaucoma and would likely need to get her eye removed. They had sent us home with another set of drops and were told to bring her in the next day. At this point, my trust in them was completely lost, so I called multiple emergency vets around the area, and they all told me that she needed to be seen immediately when I told them her eye pressure level. We scheduled an appointment with the emergency vet that very same day that Lifecare Vet diagnosed her to have glaucoma. We brought all of her medication with us, and the emergency vet was both puzzled and surprised when we explained to them about our experience with Lifecare. And even more shocked because Lifecare didn't prescribe a pain medication because our dog was in a lot of pain from the high eye level pressure. The emergency vet proceeded to tell us to see a pet ophthalmologist ASAP to see if we can save her eye. The very next day we were lucky enough to see an ophthalmologist all the way in Annapolis and with the state she was in, eye removal was the best option. My husband and I were distraught and in tears from the news. Going through this experience was very traumatizing. We NOW know that if there is any damage/swollenness to the eye, that an eye pressure test should be taken. Had that have been done at Lifecare when we first took our dog in, her eye may have been saved. And if they had presented the option of an ophthalmologist, we would have done so immediately. We are not the professionals here, so we were not aware of the actions that could have been taken. We relied on Lifecare to tell us that, the professionals, and I feel like Lifecare failed to do so. The reason for this review is not bash Lifecare, but I would HATE for anyone to experience what we did. It's been about two months since this ordeal, and we are still pained by it. Our pets are not just pets, they're our family.

I went to LifeCare Pet Hospital only because I read good reviews, some of which said their fees are “reasonable. But, now, I truly believe these reviews were written by staff of that hospital. First, I took my baby, Tessa, (4 yrs) to that hospital because she was deathly ill. But, not only was I given a FINAL bill on 3 separate occasions, within 30 minutes, I was charged $700 for a misdiagnosis, and 3 prescriptions for diarrhea that Tessa did not need. Now, my baby Tessa is dead, and they will receive my lawsuit very soon!

We had a great experience with our dogs ACL surgery. It was inexpensive but excellent care and customer service! I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

Dr. A is amazing! A few days after TPLO surgery, my dog was having a reaction to the anisthesia. He was constantly vomiting. Dr. A came in on his day off to see my dog and give him fluids. I would highly recommend this hospital.

If you are looking for a reliable doctor and kind staff, I highly recommend LifeCare Pet hospital. My cat had a kidney stone and had to be rushed to the hospital. Dr.A walked me through the procedure in detail and what to expect after. All in all a very comforting experience.

Dr. Baker is great! It ks abundantly clear her and the staff are there for the pets, not the money. I am used to veterinarians pushing for meds and procedures that are unnecessary, not here. My dog had some really large lipomas which Dr. Baker surgically removed at my request, at a price less than other vets have quoted me. My dog tore out some of the stitches and required several follow ups, and they did not charge me for any of the follow ups. Moreover did an amazing job! Highly recommend.

I'm giving Dr. A and his crew 5 stars. They were very professional and caring when I brought my dog in. Dr. A did a fantastic job of explaining the surgery and providing links to post op surgery. I'm going to give 4.5 stars for responsiveness post op when emailing though. I would definitely recommend LifeCare Pet Hospital and Dr. A!

I love Dr. Kathy! She is available to adjust my dogs when I need it. Very convenient to have a vet I trust manipulating my dog's bones to make them feel better.

My Mini Shih-Tzu had to have 4 teeth removed. She's my angel and I was so afraid for her health but, Dr A and the staff took great care of my baby! Very happy with everything! After a few days my dog is back to normal minus 4 teeth! A+++ thanks Karla and Maria for taking good care of her. =)

This hospital and the staff is absolutely wonderful. Dr. Ahluwalia did a hernia repair on my senior pup and he did an amazing job. He was very well informed and provided a lot of education and knowledge from diagnosing the problem to post op care after the surgery. He was so helpful the entire way and I am so grateful. I love my little pup and am was so happy to see that received such great, loving care during her procedure. They also did an excellent job in providing a safe, socially distant experience such as submitting everything electronically and making sure everything was clean. They also did a follow up and genuinely cares about Stacy’s progress. I would recommend this clinic 100% and would definitely go back if needed.

I took my small chihuahua mix, who has had a few bad experiences with vets and hates going, to LifeCare based on a recommendation. Dr. Murphy was thorough, but gentle and efficient, so my little girl barely knew she was being examined and given injections. I absolutely pay forward the recommendation!

Dr. Kathy Murphy is an exceptional vet. The facility is clean and modern. Our dogs are excited for the visits and always leave with tails wagging. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Our dog Buddy had to have TPLO surgery. Throughout this process, Dr. A was very informative and helped answer many questions. We were nervous about the surgery but very glad that we listened to his advice. After one month, he has fully recovered and is able to run again. Thank you Dr. A and Life Care Pet Hospital staff!

My Aussie's knee was torn and he couldn't put any weight on it. He received an exam, went into surgery a few days later, and eight weeks later, is doing great. LifeCare was responsive to a few questions in the days after surgery and helpful in my dog's recovery. I highly recommend them.

My experience with Dr. A. and Maria at lifecare pet Hospital was exceptional! First, Maria thoroughly and patiently responded to my numerous procedural and financial questions on the phone regarding my 13-year-old dog’s need for cruciate repair surgery. Financially this was a better fit for my budget than my dog’s primary care vet location. The location is easily accessible and the greeting was warm and welcoming. Dr. A was very personable, approachable and knowledgeable. He provided detailed explanation of the initial examination, the surgical procedure’s pros and cons and after care Tips for my “Punchy.” Written instructions for follow up care detailed with videos are also very helpful! This was a great experience! I would recommend Dr. A. to anyone looking for a veterinarian home in the south riding and surrounding areas. Sincerely, Marcia Barry ( Punchy’s mom)

I credit LifeCare and Dr. A for saving my puppy's life. Yes technically my dog is 11 (not a puppy), but he will always be my first baby. Dr. A was able to pinpoint the exact cause of issues for him and scheduled surgery right away. After 2 days from surgery, my dog seems five years younger already. He's full of energy and cuddles again. Thank you, Dr. A and thank you to your wonderful staff! I'm forever grateful.
