I have been a client at Caring Hands Centreville since 2013. I met Dr Vitulli in 1996 at another hospital. She was so wonderful to my sick chihuahua, Charlie, back then, always patience, understanding and supportive - including returning my calls at 1 am!! Years later, Dr Vitulli opened this location. Because of location convenience, I didn't start coming here Caring Hands until I felt the sevices of the other hospital have gotten worse. I tried Pender prior to coming to Caring Hands, and my dog, Casper, a border collie/aussie mised, had such a bad experience with his ligament surgery where the vet determined that he needed an arificial ligament. It was a horrible experience from the second I dropped him off. Lomg story short, I remember Dr Vitulli, and gave her a call, who commented that she would have recommended a specialist because the surgery involves the bone. Casper had a TPLO at a specialist and the entire process was 180 degrees from Pender. I never left Caring Hands since. At first, Casper was under the care of Dr. Campfield and Dr Streck. They were my favorite vets and the best. Unfortunate, they left to work at different Caring Hands, Arlington and Maryland, respectively. Then I found Dr Clendenin, who is just as wonderful as Dr Campfield and Dr Streck. Several vets have cared for my pets when Dr. Clendenin wasn't available, and I couldn't connect with them. Dr Clendenin is very caring, attentive, responsive and knowledgeable. I hope she will stay at this location for a long long time.

They were great and prices decent. They were referred to me by another trusted vet specialist and I can see why. Dr. Vitulli is highly knowedgable and up-to-date on the latest technologies and standards of care. It was a bit of a drive for me, but it is worth it.

Dr. Amy Benjamin has been amazing with my best friend. She expertly diagnosed his debilitating pain, and helped us find the right treatment. She went the extra mile, discussing his case with neurosurgeons out of state and has dramatically reduced my sky-high anxiety.

I can not give enough praise to Caring Hands. Every doctor, technician and staff member we have interacted with at the Centreville location has been attentive, patient and so kind! We have a large dog that fights going to the vet, which was worrisome during the pandemic because contact was limited, but Caring Hands went above and beyond to make sure she felt comfortable during her visit. They also follow up after every appointment to make sure our dogs are doing well and if we have any concerns.

Would highly recommend this vet/location. They are always organized, attentive, and clearly explain necessary medicines and/or steps to take so your pet is at their healthiest. They give reminder calls for upcoming appointments and are so very friendly!

I’ve been taking both my cat (Cosmo) and dog (Bosco) to Caring Hands for a while now, and the service there is phenomenal. The staff is friendly and professional, and I know both my pets are well taken care of, which at the end of the day is what matters most. I cannot recommend them enough!

The staff at Caring Hands Animal Hospital are amazing! I just recently got a new golden retriever puppy, Dug, and was trying to get him to a vet as soon as possible to make sure he was healthy. Initially, Caring Hands only had an appointment later in the week, but made it a point to get us in a few days earlier to help ease my worry. Even with the current quarantine situation, we did an over the phone triage check-in, they came outside to get him from me, they thoroughly evaluated him and gave him his necessary vaccinations, and then they patiently answered all of my crazy questions. The next day, I even received a follow up email asking how Dug was doing -- how thoughtful! They will be my primary vet going forward because they really do care and definitely show it. Thank you again!

The doctors and the staff have always been very nice and professional. The thing I like most about Caring Hands is that they allow me to be right there with my pet during any and all treatments. They live up to their name Caring Hands. Right now I am not allowed to be with my pet due to the COVID 19 Virus, but they were still wonderful with my baby. She is having a terrible time with her allergies at this time and needed her allergy shot. I hope she was a good girl for them as she is pretty wild.

Our doggo Finley and I have really liked this place. He had one baby tooth (canine) that had grown in place, next to his adult canine. We were concerned because of obvious dental hygiene issues and more serious problems - if the tooth was not removed. We started working with caring hands a couple weeks ago, and thus far, their namesake has proven true. The staff is cool and kind. ???? Dr. Arkhipova is super awesome on the phone and I could tell she was super nice with my baby boy too. I am looking forward to scheduling Finley's dental clean up with them, once he recovers. I can't wait to pick him up!

Thursday Jun 25 2020 I decided to bring my dog Roody to this location. My dog walker thought she saw blood in his stool the previous Tuesday so I called to make an appointment. I was hoping to get lucky. Turns out the Centerville location had a cancellation and could see Roody at 1730 (5:30 PM for you civilians). I was familiar with the protocol in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic so I figured this would be easy It was perfect. I called letting the desk we had arrived. At the appointment time I got a call back to inform me to bring Roody to the front door where he was promptly taken in to see Dr. Anastasia. Again, I got lucky. Her call after she examined Roody was all I needed to put my fears at ease. I had never had cause to bring Roody in other than for routine check-ups or vaccinations. Dr. Anastasia told me what she had examined on Roody along with what a sweet dog he is. She prescribed medication and I was very impressed with her professionalism & kindness. Tia checked out Roody via telephone and brought him out to me. She also was professional yet kind & also expressed how much everyone loved taking care of Roody. Professionalism, kindness & empathy are watchwords at this location. If you feel your vet sees dollar signs, check out this location. Money spent here is a good value for the care your pet will receive.

Caring Hands has ALWAYS taken care of my Korean Rescue, Gamja (it means Potato). From the front desk staff being super transparent with pricing and answering questions, to the actual vets and vet techs being so stellar- I have no complaints ! Gamja is usually very nervous and shy and super sensitive to sounds as she was rescued from a dog meat farm in Korea. However, when we went in for her rabies and some bloodwork and micro chipping, the staff made her and I feel so comfortable! She didn’t even flinch! They were so patient with all my questions and did not push me into buying more medication than needed which I appreciated. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone !

We have taken our dogs and cats to Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Centreville for the past 15 years. Our pets have been greeted by name and have been given all the love and attention that I would hope would be given to my child in the doctor's office. In fact, my husband and I have often remarked that Caring Hands staff always gives us a follow-up phone call and we can never remember that happening when one of our children went to the doctor's office. I am always impressed by the compassion shown by the staff. During those times when we have been faced with difficult decisions regarding our pets' health care, we have felt fully supported and were well informed by the veterinarians.

Caring hands was there for me and my Himalayan cat, Shelby, when we needed them. They provided exceptionally friendly service, they were timely, fair and transparent with the bill. We drove 20 miles for our first appointment at this location and we would do it again. We greatly appreciate them having Sunday hours. And their next day follow up was a heartfelt concern for my lil princess. Thank you Caring Hands!

I couldn't be happier with Caring Hands. They truly care about my dogs and take such wonderful care of them. My Great Pyrenees is 13 and never would have made it without them. She is now too old to get into the car so they now come to the house. I couldn't believe that they had such an excellent service. I was so surprised and happy when they said they could come to take care of her. The vet and tech were very gentle and caring with her. I was thrilled. Thanks to everyone there.

Wonderful vets and staff. I trust them 100% with the care of my dogs and have been taking my pets there for the last 13 years. They are extremely loving, knowledgeable and always accommodating . I always recommend them to everyone I know that has a pet. They are the best!

I am only upgrading to two stars because they refunded me; although that does not take away the fact I cannot get an appt for my dog for the condition treated in a timely matter elsewhere . Unprofessional, total rip off, not happy. Took my dog for a sonogram, the dog, according to the tech, would not lay properly. So they did the exam, charged me a ton of money, for an inconclusive exam that they knew was not going to yield results bc the dog did not lay properly. Upon calling them, they asked me to pay for another gram.

Caring Hands is an amazing and caring veterinarian. My dog Cheerio he is not the friendliest to others, yet Caring Hands always takes him with a smile and patiently works with him. They go above and beyond in pet care and customer service. They are always there to answer questions and they call to check in on your pet. I highly recommend them, we are happy customers for 6 years.

We just adopted a new cat and had to take him in for a well visit. It was a unique experience in the COVID world for sure. They picked him up at the door, snapped photos of our medical paperwork for his file and got a number to call us back when he was finished. The vet called me directly with the results of the visit. He was ready to go ahead of schedule. They were prompt, responsive and professional. Very happy with our service!
