We took our dog in recently for some stomach issues she was having...they gave a list of things they would try...some made sense, some did not. Both my wife & I told them specifically to only perform some of the items and to call us with the results and discuss next steps before doing anything else. No call came and when we picked her up, they did everything we told them they were not allowed to do without checking with us first and the bill was nearly $900. Our dog has a stomach bug and the literally provided said this is very routine and common in dogs...a routine stomach bug and they charge $900!!!!! Avoid these people at all costs...they are dishonest and will try to scam you out of your money. No other vet can be this bad.

I'm new to the area and didn't have a vet. My dog got an ulcer on her eye and needed to be seen right away. Not only did they get me in right away, the welcome Trixie and I got was lovely. I would definitely recommend this practice. Everyone was very friendly and loved my little Trixie.

After adopting a very sweet (but very timid) cat from an animal shelter, I was heartbroken and ready to give up on him after three months because he was constantly urinating outside of his box, despite all of my best efforts. Dr. Corey personally called me to ask that I not give up on him until we ran all of the necessary tests and Kehli called me to go over his behavioral issues. Long story short, his tests all came back fine and Dr. Corey had me start him on Hill's Prescription Diet c/d because it has stress-relieving L-tryptophan in it. To my amazement and delight, he stopped the inappropriate urination almost immediately. Dr. Corey and her staff are wonderful and I can't thank them enough for saving my relationship with my little buddy.

I understand this is not the usual help you offer, but it was offered so I am reviewing based on that. We found several baby blue birds knocked out of a destroyed nest during a big storm. We called your office and were told to bring them in and that you would look after them and contact a rehabber. 5 minutes after dropping them off we were told to come back and take the birds back and "leave them in a box under the tree where the nest was originally". What kind of advice is that, these are birds not squirrels, the mother bird has no way of picking the baby birds up and bringing them to a new nest, if I followed your advice they would have simply died. I had to look after them myself and drive them to a rehabilitation center.

Great experience here. Very caring. They saw our budgie the next day and he was in great shape the next day. Follow up two days later at no charge. These providers care about your pets. Recommend them! :-)

My young daughter recently had a sick guinea pig. We called a popular vet in our area and were told that it was not an emergency and that the next appointment was 3 weeks away. Upsetting for a young pet owner. We called Stream Valley and with no hesitation, they scheduled an appointment for us. They were sensitive to our financial restraints and the Doctor worked something out for us, even without us asking. The Doctor took the time to talk to my daughter about proper pet care and provided materials for her to refer to.

My sweet havanese is over 14 years old. And from the time he was just a little puppy, Dr. Corey and her staff have been caring for him from puppy school, checkups, teeth cleaning, vaccines, nail trimming, lab work and of course the few times when something wasn’t quite right. As an old man now with cardiac issues, there is nobody I trust more to provide the best possible care, follow up and support. Not only does the doctor remember me and my dog, but also his underlying health condition and temperament. This is a provider that makes you feel like you’re in a small town personable veterinarian practice, always thorough and never rushed, conveniently located in the heart of Ashburn. I will forever be grateful for Stream Valley and Dr. Corey.

I love Stream Valley, the staff is great and the vets are very knowledgeable and take the time to explain all of what they will be doing! I had been searching for a new vet, and was very happy when I came across Dr. Corey! I would highly recommend Stream Valley for your pet care needs!

I have been taking my dogs to Stream Valley Vet for over 10 years. We recently had to have tough end-of-life discussions regarding one of my dearest dogs. Dr. Corey is very compassionate and helped with tough decisions. This vet is very "home town" and makes you feel part of a family. I would highly recommend taking your pets to this veterinary hospital.

I was hopeful to try a new vet close to home. The vet techs were very nice, but I did not have a good experience with Dr. Corey. She was curt and unprofessional and did not bother discussing the testing and interventions performed on my dog for a regular check up. She was condescending and judgmental regarding a medication that has been prescribed by other vets. She also refused to approve prescriptions for an online pharmacy. Even though we spent over $500 that day, it seems as though she doesn’t want your business if you don’t buy all of your pet medications there.

We'ver been going to Stream Valley for 5 or so years. We love the hospitality, expertise and overall professionalism that each staff member provides. Our Luffy is a nervous guy, but Kehli and Dr. Corey have worked with him, and we're seeing considerable results. Having daycare and the get together is also big bonus.

While getting ready to head out of town this morning, my sitter informed me she will not be able to watch my dog. I immediately called a kennel and luckily they had space available but they needed the two shots required tor boarding. Unfortunately my regular vet was closed so I called Stream Valley and they were so accommodating. Very friendly staff and Dr. Corey is amazing. Exam and shots done in less than an hour even though I could tell they had a very busy morning. I will a actually bring my pet back for grooming upon my return. Thank you Stream Valley for a job well done!

I have been bringing my pets to Stream Valley Vets for more than 20 years. In this day and age it's unusual to stick with a service provider that long. I think that speaks to the quality of care and professionalism of the Stream Valley staff. It starts with the reception desk. Even when they are at their busiest, they take time to understand your pet's issue and help you get the information or make the appointment you need. Next comes the vet techs--which are outstanding as well. They are quick to call you back into the exam rooms and get you and your pet comfortable while they take your pet's information. Of course then we have the doctors. We've seen Dr. Mary Corey so many times we get greeted like we are family. Her kindness, professionalism and knowledge is outstanding. When she can't figure out what the issue is, she doesn't hesitate to reach out to other vets in the area that may have more experience with a particular issue. She celebrates pet victories with you and she grieves with you as well. Dr. Corey, as well as the other vets in this practice, use their heads and their hearts when interacting with patients and families. It's truly like an old-school, hometown feeling when you are dealing with all the staff at Stream Valley Vet. This is why I will be a client forever. If you live in Ashburn or the surrounding area, check them out, you won't be sorry.

My family and I have been taking our dogs (past and present) to Stream Valley for over 20 years now; we wouldn't go anywhere else! Dr. Corey is very knowledgeable of the veterinary field and always encourages her team to provide the very best care for all animals who visit the practice. I recently had a wonderful visit with Dr. Johnson and one of the techs, Chaney. They were attentive to all the questions I had, helped my pup feel comfortable, and made it easy to see how much they love animals! My dogs love coming here so much that I can't imagine we'd take them anywhere else.

My husband and I were looking for a vet in the neighborhood and came across Stream Valley Veterinary Hospital on the map search. We currently have a 5 month old Pomeranian. We were super impressed with this place. The staff was friendly and Dr. Corey was absolutely amazing. You can tell she's knowledgeable and she did so well with our puppy. If you're looking for a vet, look no further than Stream Valley.

Our new rescue dog Emma, had torn her entire top of her nail and it was just hanging there with her quick exposed. She woudn't let us touch it, so we called Stream Valley and sent them a picture. It was 5pm on a Friday, but they said bring her in. Our dog doesn't love car rides plus she had been worried about recent thunderstorms, so I told Stream Valley she was extra nervous. After waiting a very short time(last minute appointment!), they took our dog in for treatment, I walked our dog to treatment room because she was nervous. I could hear them telling Emma she was doing a good job and she was a good girl. A few minutes later she was out and everything went great. They said Emma did great and she was very easy in letting them help her with her torn nail, plus they trimmed her other nails and she did great! I am glad we found Stream Valley years ago. Thanks for your great service done in a caring manner!

This review is only on Dr. Sam, he was very rude to his subordinates and just all around disrespectful. He acted as if he was going to spit on me and told me I was incompetent. I can not believe you would like someone as disrespectful and rude work with people. Definitely will never come back, i hope this problem gets fixed no one deserves to be treated like how he treats his customers and subordinates.
