Goose Creek Veterinary Hospital Ashburn, Virginia

I really appreciate this vet clinic and Dr. Fortier because they were one of the ONLY vets that would take us in on January 3rd when we had all that snow. My dog had a fever and was barely able to go up and down stairs without panting so we were obviously concerned. I called 5 different places including the ERs in the area and no one had availability except for Goose Creek. They were able to see us 20 min after I called and did a few tests to rule out anything serious and were great with my dog, Kona. They prescribed her some medicine and we were on our way :) I highly recommend them and will probably go to them for future visits.

About 8 months ago i took my 10 yr old lab in for a check up and her having lump on her shoulder. Checkup went fine until the vet started looking at the lump. She stuck the lump with a needle causing it bleed, then took her back to get a sample of it. Brought her back into the room saying she's fairly sure it's cancer... meanwhile my dog is freaking out, i'm freaking out and she's bleeding all over the place. i asked as we were done... what about the bleeding, thinking they would put some gauze or something on it... NOPE! had to go into the waiting room to pay, again bleeding all over the place... other dogs around, then put her in the car and get blood all over it too. We ended up having to put Willow down and goose creel weren't helpful or seemed to care. Another instance before this, my wife questioned them on some of the treatments they wanted to only to be told to hold on a woman came in to make my wife sign a paper saying she's knows she has to pay no matter what... all because she had questions. If i could give them less than a STAR i would... I'll never take another pet there again.

Lovely team, I trust them with my animals 100%. I love how they are always prepared for us before we get there. They are so thorough, but not pushing for unnecessary interventions, either. Highly recommend

Horrible experience. I understand that we’re in a pandemic but my dog, a regular patient for several years, was involved in an altercation with another dog and was in need of emergency services. I called Goose Creek, during normal business hours, and was told that the vet did not have time to see my dog. I believe vets take a veterinarian oath? I chose Goose Creek because it was deemed a reputable veterinarian but in a time of need they were not there and not willing to make an effort. Please think about this when choosing a vet to care for a member of your family.

We haven’t been clients for very long, but so far I’m liking the office. Dr. Fortier is very kind and responsive via email and text which I love. I also really appreciate her welcoming all of my questions/concerns leading up to and following my little guys surgery and putting me at ease about his procedure as I was very nervous about having him sedated. We saw Dr. Thompson as well for his post op visits, and she was just as nice and helpful. The staff here are definitely some of the most friendliest I’ve encountered. There are a few things I didn’t care for though. One being when I dropped him off for his procedure, he was given a rabies vaccine that he already had and I never requested. I informed them during our prior visit that he received the shot a few months ago elsewhere, so him being given it again was disappointing. His surgery seems to have gone really well nonetheless. His eyes are looking great, and thankfully the extra vax won’t cause any issues for him, so it’s not the end of the world. I’m hoping that I just experienced a few one offs and over time my experience will improve more and more.

What a wonderful veterinary hospital! It was so clean, at first I thought I was in the wrong place. The whole team was so good with my puppy that when we left, he tried to go back in to see the vet! Highly recommend.

I’ve been meaning to write this review since my Shih Tzu had his teeth cleaned at the beginning of March. My Shih Tzu is 10 years old and I was scared to have him sedated. A few months ago a friend recommended Dr Fortier. Goose Creek Veterinary Hospital is an immaculate facility and the staff is very responsive. I met with Dr Fortier and she explained the health benefits of having my dog’s teeth cleaned professionally. The day of the procedure I dropped off my dog at 8am and by early afternoon I received a text from Dr Fortier that everything went well. She sent me a text again that evening to check on our little guy. Dr Fortier and her staff couldn’t be nicer. Highly recommend!!

Dr Bahr has come to the rescue for me and my pet family now twice this month! Charlie our black cat has bounced back tremendously since his incident with the care she provided. And now our coonhound/shepherd Tucker developed an infection in his front paw which she was able to determine with a sample on a slide which was stained and read within 10 min. He’s on the right course of antibiotics, anti itch, and anti fungal medications which have already started the healing process. It’s beyond appreciated to find a quality vet group such as this! Thank you Dr Bahr and your amazing staff for taking such good care of our kids!

All of the staff here is amazing, friendly, and efficient. I’ve now met all three vets and trust/recommend them all. They have taken care of complex issues for my diabetic cat, including two surgeries. The facility is clean and following COVID precautions. I consider myself lucky to have found this practice!

We LOVE Goose Creek Vet. They provide amazing care. You can tell that they truly care for your pet and want deliver the best care possible. The staff is friendly and always greeting you with a smile. My pets are part of my family and I wouldn’t take my pet to any other place. Being a former vet tech I am very particular and I can say that hands down that this is the place you want to take your pets.

Wonderful office with great doctors, staff and service. During Covid, its sometimes the little things that make a big difference and I've appreciated being able to go in to the office with my fur babies wearing a mask and being present during their visits. Highly recommend Goose Creek to anyone looking for an exceptional vet.

Dr Bahr was absolutely fantastic. She thoroughly explained what needed to be done to take care of my injured cat and treated him with care, compassion, and expert veterinary treatment. She is also considered a subject matter expert on an Ultrasound device, which is a non-invasive and cheaper alternative to expensive x-rays. This vet hospital just took delivery of a brand new state of the art ultrasound device, which is great news for anyone who has a pet that needs it. Imagine how much easier and more thorough it is for the staff to move around a handheld device on a pet that can give them imaging real time than try to hold an animal still for a X-ray image that may be blurry or require multiple exposures to capture. Truly awesome. Will definitely be back and will come to see Dr. Bahr again soon!

Dr. Fortier is extremely gentle with my older dog and my puppy, and has helped me through a few issues with both. Her approach is conservative in handling the issue but not doing unnecessary procedures, which I appreciate. Follow-up emails and check-ins even after the visit show that she and her team care about the well-being of her patients and the family’s peace of mind. I’m very happy to have found such a wonderful caregiver for my dogs and would highly recommend the practice.

I didn’t know that a vet and its employees could be so friendly and compassionate. You can tell that everyone here is passionate about their job, and passionate about helping your pets with all of their needs. Their communication is also top notch and nothing I’ve ever experienced before. They reach out frequently to make sure your pet is doing well in a friendly and non-intrusive way. I recently had a very scary experience where my dog cut her leg on a hike and was bleeding badly (we found out later that she had hit an artery). Controlling it the best I could, I rushed her to Goose Creek. From beginning to end, Dr. Fortier and her staff were amazing. Throughout the process of fixing my dog up to her recovery afterwards, they took the time to check on her and ask how she was doing. I go here for routine visits as well, but am thankful for how knowledgeable and professional they are for emergencies like this one. Thank you!
