Ballston Animal Hospital has an excellent, friendly staff. The vets are so responsive. And the parking is easy!

Gallitz is the best. She is reasonable, knowledgeable and wise. Always calm with our not so calm dog, who was not so easy on her. Took excellent care of both our dogs, extra patience when needed.

I have nothing but praise for Ballston Animal Hospital and we love Winnie's vet, Dr. Lynne Gallitz. She is so warm and talks to you like a friend...and while her time is important and valuable, she makes sure she spends quality time with you when discussing your dog's appointment!

From the moment I made the appointment to the end of my appointment everyone was amazing. They got my cat in as soon as they could when I explained what was going on. They were on time, knowledgeable, professional, and it was obvious how much they cared about the animals in their care. Everything was explained in detail and I felt like I was a part of my cats care and not just being told what to do. My cat is on palliative care and we just moved from across the country so its not an easy situation to start with, and combine that with a new veterinarian makes it even harder After my first appointment I know they will care for my cat like he was their own.

Perfect. Wonderful caring doctors and staff, we have been taking our dog their since 2007. I highly recommend them to anyone who has dogs or cats and lives in the Ballston, Clarendon or Courthouse area of Arlington, VA

Dr. Tripp took over for our prior vet at Ballston and has been wonderful at helping us manage our again male cat's kidney disease. She follows up via phone and so helpful as we work through the remainder of his time with us.

Great customer service, all staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I am assured my dog will be in good hands when I drop him off for any of his vet needs.

It’s our first time having a puppy and they answered all our questions and went over a “puppy packet” with us making us knowledgeable on what is good for our dog. I called with a question regarding my dog and they were super responsive and got us in touch with the vet right away.

The staff at Ballston Animal Hospital was incredibly kind to me in a moment of crisis. When my Seeing Eye dog tore a nail a few minutes before their closing time, they fit me in despite not being a pre-existing client. One of the vet techs clipped her nail, stopped the bleeding, wrapped it, and gave me advice on next steps. They also never called to take my payment info, despite me emailing them multiple times about it. I really, really appreciate their help, and if I ever move to the area I will absolutely bring my dog to them. Thank you again!!

If you're looking for an affordable vet practice in the DMV area, you won't find one. But Ballston Animal Hospital has pretty standard prices for the area, and is worth the cost! Once you're an established client it's easy to get an appointment, and they have drop off appointments too, which is great for us working pawrents! Dr. Gallitz is incredible with our 3 dogs and always takes the time to explain the medical terminology in terms we can understand. They're great at communicating and getting back to you with questions and prescriptions. If you're going to spend money on a vet, you might as well pick a practice that's professional and makes you feel like your pets are well taken care of - highly recommend Ballston Animal Hospital!

We trust the whole team at BAH, and that's saying a lot because we're one of those couples who think their pets are the center of the entire universe. We've been treated so well by the entire team, they've been amazing at getting us in once or twice when we had an emergency, we can call if one of our pets does something stupid and we're not sure if we need to come in, and we trust Drs. Tripp and Gallitz implicitly. Pricing seems pretty fair, especially for the NOVA region.

I just wanted to say thank you to the staff at Ballston Animal Hospital. My dog Jake is the sweetest boy but most certainly has his issues and his anxiety about going to Vet without having me in the room has definitely increased during COVID. Especially for an ear infection like we went in for last weekend. Everyone at the office goes above and beyond to help Jake (even when he's being difficult) and I just wanted to say thank you again. Highly recommend this office.

I’d been here for an appointment with my cat and it was a great experience. Kind staff with clear care for animals. When I had to put my poor old boy to sleep, they were very patient and made me feel I placed him in good hands on his final day of life. Couldn’t say anything but kind words about this place.

The visit was perfectly executed, especially in light of Covid.

This office is open during the quarantine and they’ve taken very careful precautions to keep their staff and clients safe. They are incredibly kind and accommodating and the process works very seamlessly. We took our first puppy at 9 weeks old to the office for an initial check-up. A vet tech will pick up your pet from your car and you will remain in your car and the vet will call you to discuss everything. We were nervous about him going into the vet alone but the vet was so communicative about how he was doing (he fell asleep Under the desk after they gave him copious cookies) and sent us pictures!! Dr. Gallitz is so incredibly kind and answered all my questions with patience (especially all my silly questions being a new puppy owner) and reassurance. Her recommendations are communicated clearly, in the context of the area we live in, like if a certain sickness isn’t seen much in Arlington. We value her experience! At the end of the visit, we handed a credit card outside the building and they ran it up inside and handed us an invoice. They accept some pet insurance (and give you all the necessary paperwork to submit claims). We couldn’t have imagined a better first time visit, and the pandemic didn’t stop the office from offering anything but the most exceptional level of care for us and our pup :) I recommend them for all your pet health needs!

We are very pleased with Ballston Animal Hospital. Our pup does not like getting her dew claws clipped. With 8 months growth, vet tech Diana, and one of her colleagues were able to make all the right arrangements for a successful visit!!

I sadly need to say the receptionist that handle my questions on the phone was very rude telling me that there was more people waiting in the line so that please ask my question ( which I have already asked but seems she didn’t understand). I have already waited for 10 minutes in line and I didn’t complain about the waiting time, I understood, but I can’t handle then someone speaking rude to me because they couldn’t understand what I was saying. I am a new pet owner, don’t know much about medical issues and wanted to make sure my pet wasn’t having any respiratory issues. I have some questions regarding their opinion when they saw my cat, but it seems nothing was on their notes ( which is exactly why I was calling because I didn’t see it on the. Oyes either, although I mentioned it on the phone). Although I can’t say anything bad or wrong about the doctors in Ballston animal hospital, their receptionist was very rude with me and I have decided to change the place in where I will bring my kittens from now on. There is a lot of space to improve costumer service, if the great doctors working there want to keep their costumers and make us feel welcomed and respect independently of race, nationality, language, etc...
