Been a customer for 10 years. Once this place changed hands and Dr Ryder left it has gone straight downhill. Our dog has been on medication for a few (4-6?) years now, monthly prescription. When I filled the script in July it was fine. When I went to fill in Aug they informed me I couldn’t without a yearly appointment. OK, fine as you can see I’ve always done as you’ve suggested. Well the first appt was 2 weeks away, so I said well what can we do and they said well you’re going to have to go to an emergency vet to get his medication. REALLY?! You can’t make time for a 15-30 min appt, and why wasn’t I informed when I picked up July’s meds? So I called Keep Em Healthy, I had to pay an emergency fee ($100), they saw him, gave him his boosters and medication prescription. The prescription is now 50% cheaper than it was at Court St too! So I have a new vet and Court St will never get a referral from me

The staff at Court Street is amazing. My dog, Mossy has awful anxiety and needs to be sedated for any exams or procedures. Sue was phenomenal in helping me keep her calm to go in for her appointment. When I picked mossy up, sue was great in explaining everything. Thank you all for a job well done!

They were super sweet and nice to me and my dog. So understanding to my nervous dog. My dog gave a hard time with yanking the muzzles off I get bad she kept doing it but they offered help with setting up another appointment with something to have her calm and they got the appointment for two days later I'm so happy. And super thankful to them. ????

We've been going to Court Street Vet since I was a child (I am now 29). They are the family vet. After the vet changed hands, I saw care only get better and more modern. I have two cats of my own (one about to turn 17, the other about to turn 9) and both have spent their entire lives going to this vet. Today (April 13, 2021), my cat's bother (about to turn 17) had to go in for his final visit. The last few days had been rough and we knew it would be a mercy to let him go this way. My mom called the vet and they had an opening to let him come in. I drove my dad and cat to the vet where they were nothing but compassionate and professional. During the time of covid, we couldn't go in, but we were able to hold him and pet him in his final moments with us. We were outside with the wind blowing, sun shining, and birds chirping. A perfect day for our dear kitty to cross over. Thank you to the staff at Court Street Vet. With my own very senior kitty, I know my time is limited, but I know he will be met with compassion when that time comes.

Have been going there for years, they RECENTLY changed hands, and now seem to not care about the service or animals- they are now in it for the all-mighty buck. sadly, time for a new vet.

The reviews on this veterinary hospital are very mixed. However my experience here has been exceptional both visits. I was able to schedule my two cats to be seen at the same visit which was time saving and easy. My reason for making the switch to this hospital was due to another shall-remained-unnamed area vet charging a 'COVID cleaning fee' during a pandemic. Which to me did not sit right. Court Street has been kind, caring and understands that your pets are your children. They ask about any concerns you have, the pet history and it's really stream-lined for the sit-in-the-car and wait COVID procedure. I really appreciate that the vet themselves calls you personally while you are waiting to discuss costs upfront with you before performing any procedure. Like most vets, you are expected to pay for any visits up front and at that visit. Which is why responsible pet-parents should invest in some sort of emergency funding for their babies. My visits have been for standard visits, however I cannot comment on any emergency visits because I have not had that experience yet with this vet (and hope I don't have to).

All of the staff was very professional & caring while taking care of our beloved Darby over the years and through his most recent surgery. Although he is no longer with us, the compassion the entire staff showed us, after his untimely passing, will stick with us the rest of our lives!! Mike & Nancy

I cant say enough about court street, I love all the staff, and my fur babies love them too... they are very gentle and kind with my oldest dog Duke who has severe anxiety issues and stresses out pretty bad when he's out of his routine. My youngest puppy Oliver just loves everybody! When ever I've had an emergency they have promptly got me in with them, they have always taking the time to listen to my concerns or answer any questions I might have! I wouldnt go anywhere else. Thank you Court street vet staff for always being there 100% for our fur babies! ????

Many reviewers have mentioned that since the new owners took over the staff has been horribly rude, dismissive and uncaring and I have to admit that I was considering moving to a new vet as well. We had an issue last week though and were very fortunate to get a very caring girl named Carly on the phone who helped us and then took care of use when we came in later in the week. Thanks for taking such good care of our baby.

HORRIBLE VET they sent my dog home on a fentanyl patch that takes 12-24 hrs to work after they cut my dogs arm off!!!! Any good reviews of this place are not when the new cold, heartless owner took over! They would not fill my cat's meds when I switched vets just out of spite! My new vet said they can refill it but refuse because they are petty cold people that do not care about animals just the money they can make off you!!!

Today I brought in my 14 yr old beagle for a broken tooth. The vet techs took very detailed notes of everything going on with my senior dog. After being seen, the vet clearly explained all recommendations for his tooth extraction, and treatment of his arthritis and his anxiety. I have seen many vets in my life, but this veterinarian really took the time to clearly explain her recommendations and care of my elderly pet. My old beagle has never been very well behaved at the doctor’s, but he seemed much more comfortable in their care than any vet I have worked with in the past. Wonderful experience all around!

The whole team at Court St. Vet is just wonderful. My dog, Winnie, experienced a cranial cruciate tear right before we moved to the area in the fall of 2018. I was able to see Dr. Allsopp for an examination, Winnie was sedated and the joint was examined and a tear was suspected. Dr. Allsopp gave us a wealth of information and we tried conservative management for some months as Winnie was still using the leg without too much lameness. After a squirrel chasing incident, the tear worsened, and we contacted Court St. to see what our options were for fixing the leg. We then met with Dr. Russett. She thoroughly went over our options, showed us Xrays of surgeries she'd completed, and gave us the pros and cons of all options without making me feel pressured to pick a direction but all the while giving me great science-backed advice. After speaking with a couple of other docs, I felt the most comfortable and confident with Dr. Russett's expertise. We went with the TTA surgery which showed great success. The surgery in Nov. 2019 went smooth and Winnie was home the same night. She was using the leg right away which was unexpected but great. We've rested and protected the leg for many months, completed a bunch of laser treatments with the team (included with the surgery which was a big plus), and her knee healed up wonderfully. She is back to long walks, we are working our way up to full speed running, but almost there. She takes supplements for inflammation and is no longer in need of pain meds. We couldn't be happier. She was in a lot of pain, unable to run and walk, and now she is happy and comfortable moving and being an active dog again. We couldn't have asked for a better outcome of a very stressful and scary situation. She loved going in for her laser treatments and to visit the office. The team always made it fun and enjoyable and they all genuinely cared for her. I trust them with my fur baby and won't go anywhere else! (Thank you Dr. Russett! Love Winnie)

Not too sure about the new front office staff. I love Dr. Russett, who cared for our cat and listened to our opinions, but, sadly, we are being priced out of the box. The last quote we got was outrageous. Unfortunately, with two new babies, we will have to search for someone new. We hate making this decision, but can't be "taken to the cleaners" every appointment.
