We had to have our 16 year old dog put down on the weekend. They were so kind and professional and got us right in. Also, charged the least $ of all the after- hours vets.

Thank you to Dr. Hileman and the rest of the team for taking good care of my kitty. I was worried because she seemed to be having some breathing issues. They got her checked out quickly and covered all the bases to make sure nothing was seriously wrong. Dolly is feeling much better now and back to her usual self! The cost was very reasonable, especially for an emergency visit.

I live 2 hours away and called in this morning and was told that I could bring my dog for an emergency visit, and called when I arrived like I was asked to, only to be told, "sorry for the inconvenience but you drove 2 hours here for nothing, try somewhere else, we're full" I wasn't told ahead of time that I wasn't being given an appointment and might drive here from out of state and be turned away at the doors.

I recently had to have my best friend of 13 years put down at medvet, I complied and wore a mask as asked. However, while waiting for the doctor I had pulled my mask down to give kisses and loves, and capture the scent of my dog as these were our final moments together. The doctor opened the door and reprimanded me for not keeping my mask on fully, she scolded me as a parent would a child. So incredibly rude and completely unprofessional. Losing a pet is the hardest thing and that is how I was treated. (Also worth mentioning- I saw some staff members hurry and slip their masks on as we walked past the front desk) As if that were not enough in itself, we had our dog cremated and told medvet we wanted an ink nose print, I saw it written on the paper, but when we got the ashes back.. no nose print. The crematory never got the order from med vet so they did not do it. Heartbreaking that we were robbed of having that momento. I would never go back to this place again unless it were an absolute last resort. This was my first experience with them and hopefully the last.

The wait time was long - about five hours before my cat was admitted - but they told me how long it would be beforehand and their estimate was accurate. I don't have an issue with that because I know it takes time to save lives, but know that you will likely end up waiting in the parking lot for several hours because only pets are allowed inside. They communicated with me by phone throughout the process. The vet was kind and thorough in her assessment and took the time to answer all of my questions. I never felt like she was brushing me off or rushing me even though the hospital was at capacity. I would have given my experience five stars if it weren't for something that happened at the end. When a diagnosis had finally been made and the vet told me what she was planning to do before discharging my cat, I wasn't given an estimate for the discharge time. I called back to ask for an estimate, and the lady on the phone looked into it and told me that the vet couldn't give her an exact estimate and that my cat would likely be there the majority of the day. At this point I had been in the parking lot for about 10 hours, and I asked if it would be worth it for me to make the 45-minute drive home while I waited. She told me I would definitely have time to go home and then come back later. Considering that I had been given exact and accurate time estimates through every step of the process previously, and that the treatment the vet had described didn't sound very time-intensive, I suspected that this lady may not have been very thorough in her inquiry and that her estimate of a several-hour wait wasn't accurate. I tried to call back to get another estimate but couldn't get through to anyone, so I trusted what I'd been told and went home. As I was walking up to my door I got a call saying that my cat was ready for discharge. I was honestly pretty frustrated about this as I had not spent all night in the parking lot on very little sleep only to make the long trip home 45 minutes before my cat was ready to go. It added a very inconvenient 1.5 hours of driving time and gas. However, that was the only time I was given misleading information, so it probably depends on who you talk to.

I have had to use them twice in the last several months. They have been so kind, responsive and professional. If you have a pet emergency you have to plan on spending time and as they are busy but they have been nothing but amazing to work with. I would highly recommend them. I have also had to use them to put one of my pets to sleep and they were responsive and kind in the process. Prices are amazing for being an emergency vet and they are straight forward when it comes to treatment. Highly recommend!

When we woke up on Christmas Eve, our cat Neemi wasn't acting like himself. This year, we've mourned several friends, a brother, both family horses, and our elderly dog. I was terrified that we were going to finish off the year with yet another tragedy, and our usual vet was closing for the holiday. MedVet was not only open on Christmas Eve, but every person that spoke with me was so kind. Their vet team left me with no worries about the quality of care Neemi would receive-- they were so thorough, kept me well informed, and were patient about questions. Neemi got to come home on Christmas night, after having a toy piece surgically removed from his intestine. After having blown through our savings and credit for the prior several emergencies, I was really scared about this bill. While it was still a lot (because it was an emergency surgery, those are expensive to perform), it was not marked up or over-charged at all. It was an absolutely fair and median cost considering they saved the life of our cat on a holiday. Their low end estimate was almost exactly what I ended up paying, and that was with an added complication in surgery. I am so thankful to MedVet. To all the wonderful folks who work there, you deserve all lovely things in your lives-- this cat is who comforted our daughters through this dumpster of a year, and you saved him. We're your fans for life.

If you want to spend an arm and a leg to be told that's your only option or putting your pet down, than this is the place for you. Never taking my pets here again, no compassion just looking to get your money!

Being someone with crippling anxiety i could see how maybe I overthink things. But it doesn’t matter. I paid this company $130 for my dog to be seen for a Dr. Kaiser to call and tell me that everything was fine, which yes I am grateful for that. But I do not appreciate the way she presented herself to me. Showed zero interest or concern, ran through treatment options at 30 miles per hour. This isn’t McDonald’s drive through. People come here out of concern, and pay a great deal of money in doing so. Not happy, won’t be back.

Would give ZERO stars if I could. I never write reviews on Google (but I am doing it now with the hope that someone will benefit from our experience.) Our pet had a life-threatening emergency. Another vet (Vet "A") told us to go to MedVet. In turn, MedVet told us to go somewhere else (Vet "C"), despite MedVet's claims over the phone they could solve the problem!!! MedVet charged a ton of $$$ for a "Diagnostic Fee"--though the diagnosis was ALREADY known!!! Vet "A" had faxed/emailed X-rays, summary, etc. to MedVet BEFORE we arrived there, before they had even looked at our pet. MedVet held our pet for a few hours while they made calls to other local vets; ultimately, MedVet told us to go to Vet "C". MedVet's story and prices kept changing with each call, and even within a single discussion. Despite the situation being an emergency, MedVet refused to release our pet until we paid them over the phone via credit card. (Can you imagine a doctor that won't release your child until bill is paid in full? We felt our pet was being held "hostage" for a few hundred $$). From beginning to end, we weren't even allowed into their building at any point in this whole process. MedVet was not concerned about our pet getting to Vet "C" quickly. They were more concerned with their money. (Writing this review months after the incident, it's hard for me not to believe that part of their business strategy is to hold pets "hostage". Obviously, this is speculation...but that was our experience.) MedVet didn't care about our family or our pet, and their staff members showed their feelings plainly. MedVet couldn't have cared less if our pet died right there--he was in worse condition when finally freed from MedVet's clutches. When I asked their staff what happened to him in the last few hours, I was met with a shrug and the person told me I just came on a few hours ago. As if MedVet does not keep records of what happens during each worker's shift. Luckily, we made it to Vet "C" in time and our pet had recovered; but, the detour through "MedVet Hell" was expensive, risky, and useless. I could never recommend MedVet in good conscience. Not to a friend. Not to a stranger. We will never go there again. It was just awful.
