My dog was happy enough and completely worn out after a day here. Nice and accommodating people. Edit: after more experience here my dog jumps with excitement in the parking lot.

I would recommend Central Park for daycare as well as boarding. I was so happy I was able to board my dog when I needed to drive to a Dr. In southern Utah. They took good care of him.

You never want to feel helpless to protect your fur babies when you are on the other side of the country. Unfortunately, my husband and I had that experience of helplessness when we entrusted our two cats to Central Park Pet Retreat's care. We were on the east coast with our two friends- who also left their cat here- when our friends got a call that this place lost their cat and that this has happened before. We immediately called Central Park to check on our cats, who were thankfully not also missing. We all were scrambling to find an earlier flight to Salt Lake, feeling like horrible cat parents to have ever trusted this place with their well-being. When we were able to get our cats (our friends got the call that their cat was found as we were boarding the last flight home), exhausted from our rushed travels and endless worrying, we received our cats terrified, and clearly neglected of attention and care. The only good thing I can say about this place is that they didn't charge us for our cats' stay. I can't recommend this place due to their negligence.

My husband and I entrusted Central Park Pet Retreat with the care of our cat, Simon. Our friends did the same with their two cats. We all traveled to the east coast and on Wednesday, we received a phone call from Central Park’s owner saying THEY LOST OUR CAT!!! Loosely quoted, “He is somewhere in the attic, we’re setting a feeding trap. Don’t worry, it happened before.” We sent a friend to attempt to find him and she reported horrible conditions in the cat room including dried feces and a terrible smell. A day later, while traveling home, we received notice that they found Simon. The stay was comped (as expected due to their clear breach of the agreement) and we retrieved our pet on Friday; hungry and dirty. DO NOT TRUST THIS ORGANIZATION!! They are extremely negligent with cats!!!

Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE customer service. Front end girls make it seem like it's an inconvenience to check out your pet, and when you ask a simple question as to how the pet did during their stay, all you get is, "he did fine." You would THINK they would have a friendlier staff considering its us as patrons who PAY for their paycheck and allow them to actually STAY in business, especially during these hard times with Covid and all. Definitely will be looking else where to board my pets. I'm sure others have had pleasant experiences and this being the 2nd time being treated horribly I've given them the benefit of the doubt of the first experience, but they lost me as a customer this second time around.

My place was doing an inspection and I needed to remove my cats from my home for the day. I didn’t want to inconvenience any of my friends or family on such a sort notice, so I found this place online. I was super happy that they take in cats for day care. They just needed to see proof of updated vaccines for my cats, and they were ready to go. Drop off was super easy and pick up was super easy. The staff was all super nice and helpful. I dropped them off at 8:30 am and picked them up at 2:30. The charge was only $20 total for the day! I was surprised, I was expecting over $60. They let me know how my cats behavior was. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see the cat area, so I have no idea if it was clean or what. They wouldn’t let me go back there. But I can tell they took good care of my cats and I would recommend this place for anyone who needs a cat sitter for a day.

I used this boarding facility for my cats on numerous occasions without incident. When I boarded my puppy however that was a different story. I should have known better when I asked to see the kennel/ area she would be in and they told me no. They also don’t have cameras where we can log in and check on our pets. Big red flag! I first boarded her earlier this year for 1 week. I let the staff know to take extra care of her since this was my first time boarding her and she was only 6 months old. When I picked her up she was covered in urine. Her hair was crunchy and wreaked. Her bed was also soaked with urine. I was extremely upset and asked to speak to a manager who apologized profusely claiming they had new staff still being trained and how it shouldn’t have happened. She gave me my money back for the lack of care. Against my better judgment I boarded her there again 3 weeks ago for another week. When I dropped her off I reminded them who I was and what took place the first time. They assured me she would be well taken care of. I asked them to call me do there was any issues. They told me they would. When I picked her up I saw a sign by the front desk that mentioned to not being in your dog if they have signs of kennel cough. I found this to be unusual since dogs have to be vaccinated to be boarded there. I noticed my dog was whining more than usual. Like she couldn’t wait to get out of there. And was sneezing incessantly. I asked the girl at the desk if she noticed her constantly sneezing. She said no. This went on for days until I could get her into our vet. Once I dropped her off they diagnosed her with having an upper respiratory infection. Keep in mind my dog was 100%healthy with no signs of this BEFORE I dropped her off. I called the kennel immediately and it went to voicemail. I called 2 more times during business hours and no one picked up the phone. Their voicemail says for faster service to text this phone number they provided. I talked it out and never received a response back. I waited four days we’re still no response. Subsequently my aunt was trying to call and make an appointment for her dog boarded and no one answered the phone as well. When she told me that, I told her to never bought her dog there again because of the two times and bad experiences I had just had. I am now disputing my charges with my credit card company as I can’t get a call back or response to my texts. I will never be using his kennel again and highly advise nobody else too if you want your dog taken care of

Had a very unfortunate experience here - picked up my pup after two nights of boarding - he seemed fine at first but when I got him home I noticed he'd been bitten pretty badly on the back of his neck. No staff member informed me of any issues during his stay, nor did they send updates or photos, which they said they would. Multiple unanswered calls finally resulted in a call back where I told them what happened. The manager said she would gather into from her staff to see what happened. NO APOLOGY. Either they didn't see it happen (problem) or saw it and didn't inform me (problem). That initial conversation was on 7/22 and today is 8/5. No update or response. I'm really disappointed with how this has been handled - just know what you could be getting into. I don't trust the staff to take good care of my dog or communicate effectively. I won't be back.

Love CPPR! We take our dog Finnley here for daycare and left him for the weekend for his first boarding. It was the first time he has ever been away from us and Central Park was so great sending us updates and pictures! He came back healthy and happy and genuinely enjoyed spending time with all the dogs and staff. Cannot recommend them enough, they are fantastic!

Central Park Pet Retreat is the only place in/near SLC that we trust with our dog. River has spent many nights and days with them and comes home happy and loved! She gets to spend time inside and outside with lots of dogs and humans to play with! Thank you Central Park!

The staff was friendly but I think they may have been irritated with my crybaby Lila. She is super attached and the three days she was the there she cried all day everyday. Each time I picked her up she was crying and she was so upset when we got home. I decided it wasn't the best fit for us. It's not the staff's fault. I just think we need someplace where Lila will get more personal attention.

Love this place! I’ve been bringing my dog here for boarding for almost 3 years now. My dog has separation anxiety which makes it hard for me to board him without worrying. But Central Park has always made me feel great about boarding my dog! And I feel like they truly know my dog and make him comfortable (as much as they can) while he’s there. I love when they send me pictures of him while he’s there! He’s always looked so happy. Could not recommend them more. Thank you from me & Sung!!!

We had some concerns after boarding our two dogs there over night and I was so impressed with the way the staff responded. The owner personally met with us to resolve the issue and we received the best customer service. She took care of everything and really showed us that customer satisfaction is her main priority.

They're so great with our pup! She struggles with socializing, and only wants the attention of people and not to play with dogs. They're able to accommodate this and give her the care and attention she needs!

Central Park Pet Retreat is a safe, happy and clean place. It is our pets home away from home. They have so many lovely people who work here and genuinely care about each pet. The activities keep our Daisy well engaged and active all day. Great place that I would recommend to anyone.

Our kitty loved her stay while we were out of town! She came back home happy and healthy. We are so pleased with the experience we've had. I feel bad for not remembering the lady's name but the employee who checked is in went above and beyond good customer service and check out was just as pleasant. :)

They do such a wonderful job with our dog, both when we board him and at daycare. I was nervous to board him because it was the first time we'd ever boarded him, and they were wonderful - they sent me pictures and kept me updated throughout his stay. Prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend!
