This place is so hard to get a hold of. We have been trying to get a hold of them for a week to adopt a kitten. Every time we try to call, the line just rings and rings and then cuts off. The email is invalid. We submitted an adoption form and still haven’t heard anything back. The Redwood Rd building is closed to the public due to COVID so we tried their “new location” that was posted on Instagram a week ago and it looks abandoned. I don’t know what is going on here

Adopted 3 small dogs from them over the years. They all lived happy and healthy lives and all lived past 16 years old. Except one, he is still with us and only 10. Has a long way to go But is very lonely without his pals. Will have to keep my eye out for a good friend for him.Very nice place to go and work with. Highly recommended.

They show responsibility on the animals they are taking care of and , will interview people whoever apply for the adoption. People there are friendly , knowledgeable, efficient and organized . Thanks to them , my beloved cat and I found each other! It is the very best thing happened in the lock-down ! Highly recommended!

The kindest and most loving animal shelter in the planet! When I found my dogs had been stolen from my farm in SW Colorado and after calling every pug rescue and animal shelter from Kansas to Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Idaho and with help from a friend in Law enforcement I found my beloved pets and this shelter and their workers went waaaay out of their way to help facilitate their return. My babies were healthy and well cared for by this shelter while I traveled the 800 miles to pick them up! I thought they were gone forever... This place and it's people are the real deal and made me have faith in charities again! Thank you DANEILLE!!!???? ????Please choose to donate to them when making your charitable contribution decisions!

We went in to adopt an emotional support animal...I had decided a cat was best for our small apartment. We had chosen one to meet, but there were no sparks. As we walked through and met several others, I fell in love with another cat. They were so supportive and took the time to tell me all about her. If we should adopt again, we will go back. They are amazing!

It was a really weird experience. They wouldn’t let us look at any of the dogs and said none of them are right for me and my husbands life style. Me and my husband are new in the neighborhood and now drive past it all the time and have a child. Apparently all the dogs they have are not child friendly and our “family lifestyle” is not right for the types of dogs they have. When we adopt we’re not going here. It was sooo weird. You walk in and they demanded to know everything about you before even looking at a dog. Weirdest Animal adoption place I’ve ever been. And I’ve been to a lot since a part of my college job was civic engagement and I always loved working with adoption centers through this medium.

We had a wonderful experience and was able to bring our little girl home the very same day! The staff is friendly and the dogs and cats are very well taken care of. We our so in love with the newest member of our family. Thank you West Valley Animal Shelter for introducing our Luna to her forever home❤

I used to volunteer here and it was so cool. I just pet the cats and brushed them because it helped them eat. I’ve also adopted a dog from here and the process was smooth and they made sure we were a right for the dog. The staff is nice, but they are really understaffed. They always make sure to keep it clean.

So clean and the cats have plenty of space, you can go in anytime and meet with any cat you like.

They are HIGHLY committed to helping our furry friends find loving homes. We just joined them as a corporate sponsor (Jonathan's Jewelry), and will be arranging for gifts to adoptors and so on, as time goes on, so stay tuned! ????

We went to get a kitten, one of the people was very mean, but all the other people were very nice. It was the lady who went out in the pen with a rottweiler who took it down two stars.

I just left this facility about 30 minutes ago ! had the worst experience of my life! I am not a person to leave reviews after bad experiences and rude employees at facilities but this one I HAD to address! please avoid this facility unless you want to be profiled from the get-go and be told by the rude worker or volunteer (whatever her position is) ‘’if you can’t afford it’’ I stopped by because I’ve been trying to contact them for the past 2 days ! Regarding a simple question I had , no answer ! And if you leave a voicemail I can guarantee you will not get a response. I adopted my dog about 4 years ago from this facility first experience was great ! The staff was awesome and very helpful, Suzy ? I believe who was there about 4 years ago was the sweetest lady. this second time I had the worst experience ever ! My dog is suffering from fox tails and I thought I’d stop by to simply ask if they know or work with any veterinarians or facilities that could complete the procedure for him before I take him to his primary vet. Automatically from the beginning she had the worst attitude and behavior towards me. She told me ‘’our vets aren’t opened to the public it’s only for our animals’’ and if you can’t afford it ... she literally told me if I can’t afford something . I had to stop her there and tell her that it is not that I can’t afford the procedure but I just wanted to see if they worked close to veterinarians or if she could refer me to someone.No...not this lady she felt the need to speak to me in the worst attitude ever and very condescending her response was ‘’well if you can’t afford it’’ now I understand if the vets they have are only restricted for the animals at the facility but the way she stated everything with so much anger and attitude towards me is what did it for me. She spoke to me as if she was speaking to a 5 year old . I tried to explain to her what I believe he has because I did get a diagnostic from another vet but, no ... this lady instead of hearing me out and just listen to my question turned everything else around and proceeded with saying ‘’well how are you going to know what he has if you haven’t taken him to the vet’’ who in their right mind speaks to costumers this way. I had stopped by the store previously from heading here and purchased items and dog food to donate to them because in the past this shelter and the ladies have been great , but after been spoken to like this from a staff member and been told ‘’If you can’t afford it’’ FYI lady yes I can afford the procedure I just wanted to know my options and ask a simply question. This is a tall lady with brown hair please avoid speaking to this lady if you don’t want to be profiled automatically. Now I will be leaving my donations and money I had in purse to donate to another shelter where they pick and choose correctly who they have in the facility. I understand protocol and rules but there’s a way to explain things in a self mannered and respectful way. Exactly why I stoped by so I could inform myself how their protocol and facility runs because god forbid they answer their phones to actually speak to people. I feel bad for the people that have to deal with this lady on a daily basis.
