My friend’s dog was gravely injured (and subsequently put down) while in the care of this facility. I hope everyone thinks twice about leaving their loved ones in their care.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Here to drop off dog at 7 a.m. No one here. There was another young man waiting , 2 cars drove up and another woman came with her dog. As of 745 a.m. , the 2 cars left, the young man had to get to work and called several other day cares without luck. The woman waiting with her dog volunteered to watch his dog so he could get to work and a job interview. I am leaving and will not wait any longer. 8/23/21: in retaliation for a 1 star review, my daughter’s email address and phone number were posted for public view. I was the customer that day as my daughter is a nurse and started at 0700 so I dropped off her dog. A complaint with the BBB was filed not because the office opened late due to a car accident but because of wanting personal information removed. That is harassment.

The staff here are friendly and loving to my puppy. I always feel he comes home well taken care of. I appreciate the customer service they provide via phone calls and in person.

Awful. Awful. Awful. The building is dark, dingy, smelled strongly of urine, and was missing ceiling tiles. I had already made the trip with an infant & toddler so decided just to keep our appointment for grooming...bad call. My beautiful …

The owner herself was very rude. Spewing profanities because she didn't get her way like a child. So unprofessional.

Owner prefers to communicate by screaming and using profanity. Unprofessional. I would not trust this company with your animals when it’s being ran by management like that…..

I posted an honest review of what happened to my dogs many years ago and yesterday the owner posted my phone number online as retribution. Pathetic. I don’t know what is wrong with these people but so much for “women and veteran owned”. Just know they won’t want your feedback.

So I have never taken my animals here. I was looking up different doggy daycares and came across this one and started reading reviews. The owner is VILE!!!! I would never bring my animals here. Holy wow! You have the lowest ratings On google out of all the doggy daycares! Your threats to past customers, your raunchy attitude. Just wow. So unprofessional. So rude. If you treat humans like this, I can only imagine how the animals are treated. Let’s see what attitude you throw my way lol. Good luck!!!!! As you can see below, owner is TRIGGERED. Lol. She thinks she can talk to people however she pleases. Every negative comment she is rude and nasty. She can’t take criticism. She needs to grow up and be an adult. Try responding to people professionally and see how much further you get ????????

This kennel is filthy. The office smells like urine.

I dropped in to inquire about the dog training option and was sorry to hear they've had to put this feature on hold temporarily. Sounds to me theyre understaffed and overworked like many small businesses these days (post-covid). Those who complain about such petty grievances without taking into account the struggles that are collectively taking place at businesses all around us are unjustly condemning struggling businesses to the slaughterhouse. Complaints like "They didn't open for 45 minutes so i LEFT!" or "They let a dog get out and werent excited when i brought him back!" My favourite: "it smells like Urine! Ew how gross!" say nothing about the people, their values, mission or culture. Those reviews contain little detail, ZERO empathy, and ONE SIMPLE-MINDED OPINION! Problem is they have life-altering consequences. Maybe they ought to say what happened AFTER bringing it to somebody's attention!... or did they even try to do THAT much? BTW the receptionist was polite, friendly and helpful!

i was in the parking lot of this strip mall when i saw a light husky mix dog wandering around the parking lot. i noticed she had a paper medical band around her neck. i figured she belonged to the kennel, so i coaxed her into the kennel building and the lady behind the desk said that it is a dog that is staying there. she didn’t seem to really care that the dog was out there and yelled at the dog to come back inside.

These guys saved our lives. We had a dog for a week and she ran into some medical issues that made it impossible for her to travel with us. Brickyard was the ONLY place that we could find that could take her in her condition. She was there for 3.5 days and when we got back from our trip she was as good as new. They had given her more than we asked for and nursed our puppy back to health. I would take her there again in a second!! I picked my dog up freshly bathed and happy as could be! I called a couple of times during our trip and they gave great feedback on how our dog was doing. We will be forever grateful! Can't say thanks enough!! Rate was awesome, staff was excellent! Thank you thank you!!

We live over a thousand miles away, and needed help getting our dog to a safe place. After calling several kennels in the area, we were lucky to find Brickyard Kennel. They transported our dog, obtained a necessary vaccine, and provided loving care during her stay. When other arrangements failed, they worked with us to extend her stay, obtained a travel health certificate, obtained a kennel for her air flight home, and provided secure transportation for her to the airport. The owner and staff were in constant communication with us, and demonstrated compassionate care for our dog. Rarely, have we experienced this level of responsibility from a business. Our sincere thanks to everyone at Brickyard Kennel.

The owner (I assume it was the owner) reported my review on yelp, resulting in its removal. My yelp review was removed because “it didn’t go into detail about my experience” That is completely absurd. The details, as briefly as I’m going to provide, is that I took my dog here and my dog got extremely sick. This is a copy and paste of my original review that was published on yelp. If you care about your dogs, or your own sanity, please read. This review is more important than the fact my dog got sick. In my opinion, the owner of this kennel, is completely unhinged. As previous reviewers may have stated, here or elsewhere, she has threatened to sue anyone who leaves a negative review that supposedly "defames" her business. I have personally used this business as a customer. For the protection of my own I am remaining anonymous so the owner can no longer threaten me anymore. I think it's important to leave my review and share with others my experience with this kennel. The owner claims she's a lawyer (from my research, she's an inactive one) and states that she will sue anyone for defamation, libel, or slander. But what I think she fails to comprehend, is that the reviews being posted about any facility are allowed to be opinionated. You can't sue, for an opinion. You can't sue, for a perception. If that was the case, then billions of businesses everywhere would be suing thousands of people for negative reviews. In order to best facilitate this review, I will provide an example. If you review a McDonald's, stating "the burger I had tasted like someone spit in it" versus "I witnessed the cook spit in my burger" then there's a difference. Ones an opinion, and one, may be slanderous (if it's disproven) If you take your pet to the groomer, and leave a review stating "I picked my dog up from this facility and noticed a cut on his leg" versus "I witnessed the groomer deliberately cut my dogs leg" there's a difference. In both examples, the second options, you could technically be sued for. But evidence by both parties would be needed to suggest that the groomer or the cook intentionally did what you stated. Stating that you thought a place smelled, or that you saw a rat, or that your child got sick from the daycare, or that you picked up your dog and then also noticed that your dog is now sick, are opinions you cannot be sued for. Because, that's just what you personally have experienced. I hope this review serves as a warning to those who have also had a negative experience at this facility. As previously stated, I used this boarding facility a collection of times...and had no problem prior, but due to the owners threatening messages, emails, and phone calls. I will prefer to board my animals elsewhere. My friends, family and neighbors have all been made aware of the problem this business has caused and they have stayed they will not be having their pets boarded here either. If anyone is interested in viewing the screenshots of the owners emails, to where she's threatening to sue me, I will provide them with caution. Take care and keep your pets safe.

Reply to owner: I appreciate your reply even though it was two years later. This was absolutely Brickyard Kennel as we have the bills to prove it. It seems like your standard response to a negative review is to accuse the customer that they have the wrong kennel. We can’t all be wrong. Again my experience was a 3 years ago but it absolutely happened as stated below. I can only hope that ownership has changed as well as their care of the dogs under their care. Original Post: Please do not leave your dog here. We talked to the owner before leaving our dog here during a family vacation. He said that if any dog got sick they would take them to the vet right next door. After a week gone we went to pick up or dog. She immediately started to cough when she got in the car. We took her to the vet and after $600+ of chest X-Ray and blood work we found out she not only had kennel cough but it had progressed to pneumonia. The vet said she most likely had been exhibiting symptoms for several day in order for her to get this bad. She was so dehydrated that she had lost 8lbs during her stay. She was given 1.5 liters of fluids, which is a lot, and sent home on 4 weeks on antibiotics. Brickyard kennel said nothing to us about our dog being ill when we picked her up, but they were happy to give us a bill. When we called to ask about what happened they were all extremely unhelpful or extremely defensive. I tried to give them the chance to make this right but they were not interested in accepting any responsibility. Please do yourself, your family and more importantly your pet, which is a member of your family, a favor and do not board your animals here!

Post edited.... I have the right facility. You called me out before and deleted my comment so? You need to take things into thought and stop harassing your customers that have a input on how you run things. Your making you reputation bad. Saying people have the wrong place on every bad comment is hilarious too. I'm going to make sure to spread the word in the animal community not to us you anymore. Good thing for social media so people can get honest reviews.

My Hound, who is up to date on all of her shots, got ear mites from the kennel. She has had ZERO contact with animals before the kennel and got ear mites so bad in her right ear that she is scabbing. When my wife walked in the kennel she immediately knew it was a bad decision, but had a flight to catch that day. Would only use again if it is a last minute decision. I DO NOT RECOMMEND you bring your dog here. It is likely it will get sick. Reply: My dog, Duchess, was brought in under the last name Dunn. Pretty sad to see this business defend itself with little to no information and assume that I have the wrong business. When they are clearly on the defensive it doesn't bode well for past business, since they are ready to attack reviewers who sully their already rocky reputation. Keep it up Brickyard.

I called and reserved boarding for two dogs over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. I specifically asked for a price quote, which they provided. I showed up to pick up my dogs and the final bill was nearly double what was quoted. Not cool. When I pointed this out to the person at the desk, she was snippy with me and said all quotes are only estimates. I understand that, but this was significantly incorrect. They are either 1) incompetent staff or 2) misquoting as a bait and switch. I have no complaint about the care of my pets, however. Beware the price they quote you! Also, despite owner’s very long reply below, they did NOT waive my late fees. That is a complete fabrication and I have the invoice to prove it. They even emailed me a copy of the receipt which clearly shows they still charged me all of the fees. The over defensiveness of the response is a red flag here. Beware!
