I came in at 5 to get a prescription for food for my dog. He was completely out of food and I normally order from Chewy but the shipment was delayed and had a predicament. The vet refused to talk to me, as her assistant says she’s already stayed over a few minutes past 5 and that she was leaving. Wow. Unbelievable. I was on the edge of tears and clearly upset, but still wouldn’t help. So now I’m having to go see another Banfield tomorrow for an exam that he doesn’t even need just so I can get a 7 lb bag of dog food to get him through since my normal vet is closed for the weekend. I don’t normally write reviews but I could not believe she wouldn’t even talk to me for a few minutes because she was already over her clock out time. I work overtime when needed and my job is no where near as important as a doctor!!! The lack of care and laziness is beyond me and would never recommend this Banfield. I was astounded. Go to the one in Taylorsville instead.

This has got to be the most awful Banfield yet! The staff is rude they are always complaining about being short staffed that’s not great customer service and to be honest it should it be made my issue, you don’t complain when you withdraw the wellness plan money out of my account every month. I am always told they don’t have appointments for months on months yet every other Banfield seems to be able to work with you when it’s considered severe. I wouldn’t trust any of the staff at this particular location with my pet. Ciara at the front desk need to be a little more empathetic when it comes to people’s pets. I wouldn’t be calling for expert advice if I knew what to do myself. I am very disappointed in the way I have been treated here today. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE to this location.

I’ve never been more disgusted. I have been passing this horrible place on a wellness plan for six years. Today my little guy hurt himself, but they refuse to treat him. They are only in it for the money, shots should never take precedence over a hurt animal!!! They literally told me they had a wait list for injured and sick animals! I’m done with this racket. Unbelievable.

Dr. Howard is the best! We fully trust her with our 3 precious fur babies (2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks and a Lynx Point Siamese) the staff are engaged and helpful and the insurance plans are great.

They're awesome. My two dogs r blind n they get so stressed out n I want them to keep them together to reduce some stress n they do.. Thank you so much for wonderful job. Bless you all n all creatures????❤

Banfield has taken great care of our cats from day one. We love the Optimum Wellness Plans and all that they encompass. We like that they call us when it’s time for a visit, so we don’t forget how long it has been, and it has helped us catch early signs of dental/kidney issues. The staff is kind and thorough. I have full trust in having my animals in their care.

it's a pretty good service and the staff is always really nice, the only thing I don't like is the fact that you pay each month for your care plan, and that you have to pay extra for any medications your dog may need which just makes me wonder, "Well shouldn't I just pay for one or the other?"

I came in to get some info about my cats mouth problems and they were extremely informative and very kind. They gave me a lot of good trips and even though they are booked out for sedated surgeries, they were more then happy to find a different Banfield that would get us in!

Been going here for 10 years. My dogs LOVE going to the vet here. Staff takes great care of them. They clearly care about the care they give.

Banfield is OK if you want an annual check-up. But twice we have had an emergency and they scheduled us out for two weeks. The dog would have been dead by the time of the appointment. We now use a really good vet who takes an interest in our animals well being. We are dropping Banfield's wellness plan and moving on to a more responsible vet.

They were sweet helpful and not judgy. I wasn't able to get my dog vaccinated for quite a while due to Covid and they just asked if I'd like to get him up to date without treating me poorly. My boy is nice and healthy thanks to them.

This review is in part to new COVID-19 regulations. Not the vet personally, nor the staff, with the exception of the tech who answered my call... With the pandemic, normal processes and procedures have to be altered to adapt to the dangers of this virus; however, endangering the lives of animals in the process is completely unacceptable. New regulations call for curb side pick up at this location (possibly all locations?), so when you arrive, you call and have them come pick up your pet. Well, this last visit we made, we discovered a major issue with this process. What do you do when it's over 100 degrees out and have to wait for a pick-up? We arrived 5 minutes early, and decided to walk around Petsmart to escape the heat. Once inside, I called Banfield and explained that the heat was miserable, and we were walking around Petsmart and that I would bring my pup over when they were ready for him. I told them I'd even walk outside to the curb with full face coverage, and hand him off to eliminate any need to go inside Banfield. Well, they weren't having any of that. The person who answered my call told me I had to go back to my car, and pull up to the curb with my dog, then they would take him when ready. We waited in 100+ degree heat for 20 minutes for them to come out and pick up our dog. In that time, our pup had thrown up and nearly passed out; it took pouring water over him to get any sign of awareness. Once they were ready for him, they called me and instructed me to GET OUT OF THE CAR AND HAND HIM OVER, completely eliminating the need for me to get back into my car and wait for them at the curb. This is TOTALLY unacceptable and irresponsible, especially considering the people forcing us to subject our puppy to this unbearable heat, are the ones who were supposed to take care of him. Yeah, I get COVID has altered things drastically, but that doesn't excuse the the inability to use common sense. It's hot outside, don't make people (or their beloved pets) wait --in what's essentially an oven-- until you're ready to completely disregard any "safety" act's put into place. I'm not sure who the person was who made this experience so unnecessarily miserable, but I will no longer bring my babies here on account of their incompetence.

We have been so disheartened by the lack of care and willingness to see our dogs when they have been sick. We use to be able to do quick drop in’s for when things came up ( bladder infections and ear infections). Now, every time I call, it’s an appointment for 2 weeks out. If my pets have active infections, how can you expect them to wait? It is so dangerous. I have had to call around to different veterinarians to get them seen and spend a lot more money. We will be canceling all of our plans with Banfield ASAP.
