My cat died today at home a couple of days after seeing AVC. They didn't have anything to do with it, it was just her time. The care she received seemed fine, but between my bouts of grief and sobbing I keep coming back to the fact that somebody at AVC decided to clip her claws, which she always had every single day of her life. She was gentle with them and they added dexterity. Now her paw print that I will get back wont actually look like hers, and she passed away with a paw in my hand that didn't really feel like hers. Whatever you people at AVC are thinking with doing that, it is NOT APPRECIATED when unasked for

These guys were amazing to our baby! Our doggy decided she wanted to eat a whole bunch of Ibuprofen… she spent 2 days here. They allowed us to go visit her every day. We could tell she was being taken care of and loved! After a couple days we could no longer afford to keep her here so they sent us home with things to give her the best care we could while having her home with us! We hope to never need an emergency pet hospital again, but if we do we will be going here! I never leave reviews, but I felt that these guys deserved it!

My cat was "off her feed" and we're heading into a four-day weekend for our regular vet. I just was not happy with how little she was eating and her hiding behind things. I called my own vet, who offered a drop-off all-day appointment 5 days from now. Given how skittish my girl is about going to the vet, I knew I had to come up with another plan. So, I went in. We were greeted immediately, and Shprintze was taken back for vitals shortly after. The doc came to see me about 15 minutes later, apologizing because my kitty was too crazed to examine, and she needed sedation. Another half-hour later, she asked permission to give her even more sedation. Finally, they were able to examine her and come up with a diagnosis. It was pricey, but the reassurance and meds I came home with were worth every penny. These folks are both kind and professional. I would go there again in a heart beat!

How y’all have less than 5 stars is beyond me. Everyone was friendly, kind, and completely informative. They were clear about cost, never rushed, and incredibly understanding about budget constraints. My pup needed some unexpected stitches on a Sunday evening and a couple hours later I am back home with a happy boy again. Thank you so so much y’all!

Don't ask questions or advocate for your dog, especially your medically fragile dog who needs you to ask more questions. If you do, expect to be treated with contempt and suffer abandonment of care. Gleeson should have her license revoked. Toxic productionism - prodding the veterinarians to see more patients per hour, forcing haste down their throats which they then pass onto their patients in the form of irritability, reckelessness, and neglect - this is what is happening at AVC. I have filed multiple complaints with DOPL, both against the clinic and specific veterinarians. Standards of care were breached multiple times in the care of my dog. A veterinarian misled me about which procedure she was performing on my dog. Then tried to push us out the door with a dog still so sedated that the dog couldn't yet keep her feet under her. And so inappropriately dosed on sedation that she was ataxic for more than 6 hours after the procedure. Shall I go on? What's happening at AVC right now is unconscionable and unforgivable.

Brought my sick kitten here and got way faster care than other emergency vets I've been to. Got tough news and was very impressed with the compassion I saw with the vet. Desk staff could've been friendlier and better about coordinating things but overall I was pretty impressed

Dr. Anderson was AMAZING! I had to take my dog in late at night (11pm) and the staff was kind and courteous and took such good care of my girl. Dr. Anderson listened without judgement, provided helpful feedback, and most importantly, got my pup back to good health in no time. I would for sure come back here if another accident happens with my pup. Highly recommend coming here for pet emergency services. Thank you AVC!!!

They were absolutely wonderful and helped us figure out that my cat had cancer. It was a hard diagnoses, but they were so helpful and compassionate and helped us care for her until it was time to say goodbye. Really truly wonderful care -- can't compliment them enough.

Our Golden Retriever was overdue on her pregnancy. Every other vet had no appointments available but Advanced Veterinary Care made room for us. Unfortunately they had to do a C-Section but they made room and did the operation which was very successful. The price was reasonable. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. We will return if we ever have any other issues!

Thank you all for taking care of my Molly. The ladies were great with me as I was a mess. I will never take my pets anywhere but here

2nd time they care for my Benjamin boy. Waited little over an hour but they take the time to ask questions in order to provide appropriate care which if very important to me. They gave me options and answered all questions. Even before I brought him in the woman on the phone was very helpful, knowledgeable and did her best to answer my questions. A little pricey but that’s to be expected considering it’s an emergency clinic & the quality of care is outstanding! Thankful for this Clinic & the staff

I called to make sure they were seeing pets. I get the 30 min later and they said they changed their status right when I walked in. I call BS. The lady that was helping me was looking at a color print out already on the wall... hmm. How can that be already printed and on the wall for reference if they just changed status? Is it discrimination? Pick and choose what you want to see? I will not be going there or referring people. The service explains the poor rating for this place. They need to stop leaching money from people and close down.

I have been here three times, all with different animals and different circumstances. All were great experiences, even when we had to wait it a pet down. They care. They are kind. And that’s all that matters. Yes they get slammed sometimes. But so does every other ER hospital in the valley. One thing that would have been helpful was knowing they were closed on Friday and Saturday when I was asked to come back.

Thanks to the team at Advanced Veterinary Care, our Great Dane is alive. While we were out of town, he became very sick and weak. We took him to AVC just as soon as we got home and learned that he had flipped his stomach. The AVC team provided us with all of our options, including the survival rates and risks of surgery. In the end, AVC conducted an emergency surgery to try and save him. Although we are not sure how he survived after spending so much time suffering, today - almost 3 weeks after surgery - he is doing and feeling GREAT! A big THANK YOU to the AVC team for giving him such exceptional care and taking such great care of him!

We thought our sweet cat Leah was having hair all issues. She wasn’t keeping any food down and she lost a lot of weight. We brought her in and they took good care of her in trying to find out what the issue was. They kept her overnight for some tests and we received a call the next morning informing us she had feline leukemia as well as lymphoma. She had clotting issues as well as fluid in her lungs on top of it all. Me and my wife were devastated. We made the difficult decision to put her down. They let us take her to the park for a while before bringing her back to release her from her suffering. We gave her all the love she deserved and more. When we brought her back, played some music for her, and wrapped her in the blanket I would always cuddle her in. The process was quick. After she was gone, they gave me and my wife all the time we needed to mourn her, which was quite a while. Our girl was gone, and even though it wasn’t the news we were hoping for, AVC did a great job in taking care of our girl. Dakota and Erin were wonderful. They also helped take care of diagnosing Leah’s sister, who also has feline leukemia, but let us know that she hadn’t been diagnosed with any other illnesses. AVC does a great job. I couldn’t imagine taking my pet anywhere else.

We brought out sick cat in when she was acting lethargic & losing weight quickly. We thought it was just a hairball but she got diagnosed with felv & lymphoma. It was obviously heart breaking news and we did have to put out sweet angel to sleep that day so she didn’t continue to have breaking issues & suffering. Erin & Dakota were the main people helping us with this situation. They did everything and more to help us through this awful time. They fixed Leah up so we could take her to the park one last time and let her enjoy her last sunshine in the field. They both were so gentle with Leah & just as compassionate as we could have hoped in this situation. They went above and beyond for our little family & they are still helping with out other cat Ginger since she also has this nasty disease too. Well forever be grateful for your service and care you gave our little angel. Thanks so much!

Thank goodness for Advanced Veterinary Care!!! My dog ate some stuff out of a trash can and we had only a few hours to get him seen to induce vomiting. After calling my vet and 5 other emergency pet clinics that were booked or had 2-3 hour waits, I was desperate. Despite being low on doctors with longer waits, they said "bring him in and we'll figure it out and have him seen." They got him in within 10 minutes, were very transparent on what was happening and the costs associated with it. They provided us options for his care and we were in and out in 45 minutes. I can't tell you just how KIND and helpful everyone on the staff was and truly cared about getting our dog taken care of... unlike the sentiment I received on the phone from other clinics. Hopefully we never have to go back :) but would return to AVC in a heartbeat if something came up.

What a terrific experience! We were 95% sure our lab had a torn CCL and would need TPLO surgery. Dr. Morgan was great with our girl and had a fabulous bedside manner making us feel really comfortable. They were also able to schedule her procedure the very next week. Would highly recommend them.

Do not trust them, we are completely traumatized from the loss of our very beloved and one of a kind companion/hearing dog at only 4 years old. It is haunting me every night, we miss him to an extreme point and we have lots of regrets.

I had absolutely the best experience at AVC. I rescued an injured momma cat and her kittens. I brought the momma cat to AVC to have her injured leg examined. Everyone was so helpful and patient. The person that did her intake was so kind and very straight forward with me about what diagnostic procedures she would need done and what the price would be. I really appreciated the transparency about cost. The vet called me to explain what had happened to her and what my options were to help her. We decided to amputate her injured leg. The vet was honest with me and explained that because they were an urgent care facility they would be more expensive than other facilities. He encouraged me to call around and find the best option for her amputation. I wanted her to have her surgery ASAP and chose to go with AVC. They vet and technicians explained everything to me and answered all my questions about caring for the kittens while momma cat was recovering. I was so impressed with everyone’s kindness, patience, and transparency. The cost was very reasonable for an urgent care facility. Very glad I went to them and I highly recommend them!

It takes a lot for me to write a review and AVC deserves to be recognized for doing great work. I brought my little dog in and Dr. Arshiya knew exactly what to do. I wish that I would have found her a long time ago. Thank you all so much for being so professional and considerate.

I would highly recommend taking your pets elsewhere if possible. Our experience at the clinic was very frustrating. We felt like we were put on the back burner and forgot about. Sitting in a room for 2-3 without hearing hardly anything about my dog and her clustered seizures was extremely frustrating. They put her on a medication for the rest of her life and then wrote us three refills. So after spending $400 we have to now take her to the vet again, because they refuse to give her additional refills.

Not all stories have happy endings- ours unfortunately didn't get to end with us bringing our sweet Kitty Fritz home with us but all the more reason for me to publicly share my love for the staff at this clinic- espessially Dr. Rist and A Tech named Brandy. The patience and honesty from the Dr was so appreciated, and although we had to put our boy down I felt like we were in the presence of friends. Brandy- ugh what can I even say other than she really felt our pain with us and stayed with us until the very end. I will literally never ever forget her and we feel like we can never repay the kindness she showed us Monday late night/early morning. A million thanks to the staff, please keep doing the amazing job you all are doing. It is not taken for granted. -Noel and Chet

Took our dog Dobby in for his leg. He couldn't put any pressure on it and was in extreme pain. To be honest, I am always afraid to take him in to vets due to him being a pity even though he's the sweetest guy you'll meet BUT everyone here (including front desk staff) was very nice respectful and didn't judge him for being a pit. Saw Dr. Bullett, Kelly and she was really nice, professional, straightforward, and considerate. One of the best vets I've been to for awhile. Amy was an absolute Gem too! So nice and went out of her way for both Dobby and I. Cannot thank them enough for everything they have done. We hope everything goes well but if something does happen, we'll happily return knowing they actually care about him.

I brought my cat in because she hadn’t been eating and had been throwing up bile, diarrhea etc. All of the staff were extremely nice because I was a mess. When they told me they wanted to hospitalize her overnight they explained to me I could call anytime even at 2am and someone would answer and give me an update on her. They also showed me all the rounds the staff do at night to reassure me leaving her there. I really appreciate the time they took to explain and show me all of that. They made me feel Comfortable leaving her and I knew she would be in good hands. Fortunately because we have pet insurance we didn’t have to hold back on any of the diagnostics they suggested (people get pet insurance! It will save you!). They went over in detail the X-rays and the ultrasound and gave me choices of what we could do. I also felt like they really liked my kitty even though she can be a brat sometimes! Thank you all!!

Our dog Wyatt had gotten into something eaten something with string connected. We were terrified of possible issues with his intestines and colon. The staff was extremely kind and answered all my calls even at 11pm when I was anxious at home thinking about my baby boy. There price was extremely reasonable for an overnight stay with multiple x-rays as well as fluids. We were really glad they were there to help us through this stressful time!

Have a sick dying Foster kitten and their only response to « Can you help? » was we can’t be responsible to help that kitten. Nice!

This review is not a reflection of our experience with AVC as a whole, but just on one vet: the technicians have all been wonderful. My dog, Mollie, was diagnosed with Addison's Disease at an emergency vet clinic in March and it was recommended that we transfer her care to AVC. We did so and she was placed under Dr. Kuhlman. Dr. Kuhlman has consistently ignored my concerns regarding Mollie's condition, treatment, and care. I've only spoken to Kuhlman once; all other correspondence were done through technicians. I could even hear Kuhlman telling them what to say to me several times in the background, but he still wouldn't speak to me. When I said Mollie was experiencing some side effects due to the dose of prednisone she was on, I was told she was on a "standard" dose and that he wouldn't lower it further. Standard treatment for Addison's disease is frequent electrolyte tests within the first 6-12 months to ensure that levels are balanced and that the dog doesn't receive medication before they need it. Getting Kuhlman to let me schedule electolyte appointments was like pulling teeth. After her last electolyte appointment, Kuhlman said (via a technician) "see you in a year" and I wasn't allowed to schedule amy additional. In addition, none of my concerns were noted in her chart (which I requested for my records), just things like "owner says pt is doing well at home". Dr. Kuhlman's care was inadequate, bordering on negligent. And, for your info Dr. Kuhlman, I took Mollie to another clinic today who checked her electrolytes and they were a MESS. If I had given her her Zycortal injection like you wanted me to next Monday with no electrolyte check, it would have made her super sick. I'm BEYOND angry.

Called and told them my cat was experiencing UTI symptoms and was told the wait was around 45 minutes. I came in and someone took my cat back for about 2 minutes for a "check to find out more". She returned with my cat only to tell me my cat probably has a UTI and she doesn't have a blockage (which is internal, not sure how you can tell that by looking). Then she proceeded to tell me they were too busy to help her and to just "get her an appointment" and gave me a list of other ERs. Waste of time. Went somewhere else today and got diagnostic tests done and antibiotics. Will never return. Useless help
