This vet was horrible. We went in because our dog had been vomiting and wouldn’t eat. We were unable to go to our vet cause it was night time. Vet came in never examined our dog or introduced himself. He drew new labs and basically told us our dog was on deaths door! He was very rude and unprofessional! He didn’t even treat our dog. We took him home and thank god he made it to the next day that we could get him into his vet and oh guess what he wasn’t dying. My dog is still alive and doing amazing!!!

Took my dog in cause he was sick and not eating. They took his vitals, “doctor Carlos” didn’t even enter the room and told us from the doorway all we needed was medicine. He never touched the dog or did any type of checkup. We also told them that the the dog is allergic to chicken and the prescription food they sold us was chicken. Super unprofessional, not worth the $350 trip. Find a better place to spend your money don’t go here.

Our pup got sick and we were recommended to go here. We called and asked for their wait time and was told they could get us in, in 30 minutes. We made the drive from Blue Pearl in Midvale to this place and ended up waiting 3 hours. Once we got to see the vet he examined our pup for less than a minute and was gone. We were given a receipt and were told what our pup would be given and were rushed out to the front desk to pay and leave. She is our first puppy and we didn’t know what to expect but this experience was horrible. We weren’t told what was wrong and didn’t even get the chance to ask any questions. Not a friendly environment at all. We got here around 8pm and didn’t leave until 12:30am. Will not be returning.

Employees were very rude, would expect a little more compassion from an emergency vet clinic.

0 stars is necessary. We came here to put our rat down(120 bucks btw), and they were closed because they had back to back surgeries. That's fine. We came back the next morning when they were supposed to be open, only to find a family crying in the parking lot because their cat died waiting for them to open. They still weren't open when we left, 15 minutes later. You cannot rely on this place. Do not bring your pet, especially if it's an emergency!

We took my dog there a few days ago, she had ingested a bag of vitamins and poison control had advised us to immediately see a doctor. This was the only 24 hr urgent pet care in Utah county. We rushed over and told them exactly what happened. They said they would need to pump her stomach before the vitamins were already in her system. We waited a full hour before deciding to take our dog all the way to salt lake. This urgent care called us wondering where we went and we told them we had been waiting for an hour, and the vitamins were already dissolved in her system. They were very confused why they hadn’t taken her back to pump her stomach (yeah no duh) and then informs us that they didn’t even have the proper iv to get her on anyway. So basically we had just wasted time at this vet, where they had not told us they were not fit to care for her and did not see her for an hour. Thankfully my dog is okay, but if this had been any worse she would have died because of these people’s stupidity and lack of attention to an emergency case. Do not take your pet here.

We took our dog in for care after being bit by another dog. We were attended to quickly, the care was good, and the price was fair. We had a good experience here

So happy this clinic is open over the weekend. Our cat had an infection and needed to be seen. They were very kind and took care of us as quickly as possible. I'm so grateful they are willing to work weekends and after hours for the benefit of our pets.

We took our dog, Brick, here last night for what we already knew would be an end-of-life consultation/exam. The staff was busy but responsive. One of the techs came out soon after we walked in and could tell Brick was in distress and not doing well. They prioritized us ahead of others who were waiting and confirmed the issue. We ended up euthanizing our furry best friend of 14+ years. The tech and doctor were very sympathetic and understanding. They did not rush us and gave us all the time we needed to make the decision as well as to say goodbye even though they were busy. It was a very good experience considering the circumstance.

Absolutly the worst vet in utah. Cant even answer their phones, i just showed up but took one look and this place and decided to just drive to salt lake instead.

Empathetic and helpful, with late hours, but pretty pricey. Of course its the only vet Ive ever visited so I dont know how it compares price-wise

If you're going to advertise that you're open 24 hours, then be open. Called and no one answered. Can't leave a message because mailbox is full.

I gave it two stars because one of their vet techs showed compassion. It was the most unsettling and traumatizing experience of letting our pet of over a decade go. I know they were busy. But no one is too busy to spare 2min just to give a little kindness. The vet was there for all of 30sec the entire visit. I hope they can make some improvements for other pet owners sakes.

I was honestly hesitant because of some reviews, but hands down best vet I’ve seen in Utah. Fast and saved me from unnecessary things like X-Rays or Blood work. Very knowledgeable. My dog was better next day (obviously varies on what’s wrong with animal).

Had to euthanize. The ladies were so kind and sweet and were so gentle with our little one. Maybe it depends on who is working, but the ladies we had earlier this week were SO amazing and they took great care of us and our pet. They were busy and still took the time to sympathize with us and give us our time. Thank you for making it such a smooth and painless process.

Came yesterday afternoon. The two ladies working you could tell needed help but they handled the very busy day well and they were able to take care of all of us waiting in a timely manner. They were very efficient and took great care of our animals and were very kind and caring. Hats off to those two sweet girls. I will come back because of them, made my experience a lot sweeter

Right when we got there the nurse came and looked at our pet. She recommended I go to SLC for hospitalization since our pup was having liver issues and yellow discoloration. They are not overnight so I was thankful they did not waste my time or take money for something they knew was going to need hospitalization anyways. Thankful they recommended we go straight to AVC or MedVet. I was the second yellow pet of the night too, hopefully the other guy got his pup taken care of up in SLC as well. Thankful they were able to send me to a clinic where I could get the most effective care since they are just an urgent care not an ER for animals. They were very busy that night too, but they were all so nice and very willing to talk to me about what was going on and why I needed to be in SLC. They definitely care about the pet and not the money.

Had to bring our baby in for some care. Yes there is a wait time, but it is the only clinic in utah county and they were very busy. The ladies working were awesome and were working very efficiently. Talking to them, they had been working all week and same with the doctor. He had been working all week even after coming from his day clinic in layton to cover for doctors that week. Amazing to see how even though they were all probably exhausted they still did awesome at their jobs. My baby is doing so much better now thanks to this clinic. I would highly recommend. And people need to give them some slack, if it was not known, there is a shortage of staff in the veterinary field so just be thankful they had a doctor to even work despite him being late. Thanks pet urgent care :)

I cannot express how much I am grateful for their kindness and service they offer to our dog. Our dog hurt his back and had to get meds immediately. We didnt know he hurt his back so we were just so anxious to help him. Although doctor was busy with other procedures with a mom dog, he came quickly to check on our dog and figure out that he hurt his back and gave us pain medicine. Two other nurses were very helpful with us too. Our dog didnt want to go in the car because he was in so much pain and the nurses helped him to get in the car. They are very thoughtful and loving and caring! I cant believe that they have 3 stars because they really deserve 10 stars! Thanks for helping our boy benji he is feeling a lot better now!

Our poor puppy escaped from our back yard and was clipped by a car. The staff at the Pet Urgent Care were great. I was lucky to go in when they first opened so I had no wait time. They were compassionate, quick and efficient. I had thought I might have to drive to SLC, but I’m glad I waited for them to open on a Sunday at noon..

We think our puppys life was saved here. And they wouldn't take a penny. Thank you.

Not IMPRESSED! We were recommended not to go to this Instacare and go straight to Valley Veterinarian Hospital. We were so worried for our pup that we decided to take our chances. We waited for 3 hours, then we were called into a unclean exam room, then had Dr. Carlos come in for a 2 minute “exam”. He prescribed her medication that we later found out were deworming medicine that she already takes once a month. We were charged an astronomical amount to receive no answers. He said if she doesn’t get better than we can bring her back, because he would be there all week. There was no way I was going to bring her back to him. After the ultra brief visit, he walked out yelling for someone to bring him his pizza. Our pup was still so sick in the morning that we took her straight to Valley Veterinarian Hospital where we received such great care. They took time, explained what was wrong, advised us not to continue the meds, and helped our little pup start feeling better. I would never go to this location and take the extra drive to get quality care!

We arrived around 11 pm. After calling out a couple of times a lady came out to us and made us feel like we were over reacting ('diarrhea always comes with blood. It's the intestines shedding') and earlier when we called she said they were too busy to have more pets come in. When we arrived there was one other dog that we heard. We didn't see any other customers. After filling out paperwork, we waited for about 10 minutes and finally knocked on the backdoor. This time Jeremy came out. He was very nice and helpful. The vet was knowledgeable and nice. Frankly, the first lady is actively causing them to lose business. I realize it is late but those are the business hours that they set, if she doesn't want to be there, she needs to find a different job.

It is so obvious that this place has employees that make fake good reviews. This "vet urgent care" place is so dirty and doesn't care for your pets

This place was a nightmare. Honestly the suckiest part was when they used sedation on our cat to begin the euthanasia and told us that he would fall asleep and be out but in fact he never fully got into a sleep, he responded and the doc moved him around treating his body not respectfully. Moments later he told us to take our time on if we wanted to proceed, after he had one of his assistants rudely come in with no heart felt feelings in regard to our animal and told us to hurry. After she went out the doctor came back in without saying anything and picked up our cat to take him to the back to euthanize him, as this was happening me and my family members were trying to figure out why he came in to the room so fast without saying a word. It was very cold hearted in the way our animal was treated. It actually made me want to go become a vet myself to put people like this out of business. Plain and simple if your patient is a 13 year old family member of ours treat them WITH RESPECT PERIOD. If you want a caring doctor who isn’t just business then I suggest somewhere else. Very dissatisfied.

Our dog was having trouble breathing. We tried calling ahead at 10:00pm but no answer. Drive over anyway. Finally got ahold of someone at 10:30 and told them we were almost there. Arrived at 10:45 to locked doors. Thanks for nothing.
