Whenever I call and ask a question, Diana is the sweetest and most kind to explain it to you and give you an example of a personal experience. She always goes above and beyond to answer your question and ease your concern. I will only take my dogs here because of the care of the vets and people like this. She truly deserves recognition as well for the way she helps and treats customers.

Brookside has been my vet office for over 10 years. They are amazing with my fur babies and make sure there health is always taken care of.

Best care around! Very knowledgeable, helpful, professional, efficient and kind staff that genuinely loves your fur baby as much as you do. My pup got a deep cut in his nose from a break in the fence. I called the day of to schedule him an appt and they were able to get me in right away. When we showed up for our appointment, the staff got us checked in quickly and into an exam room. The doctor came in after about 5min and gave me my options and let me know pros and cons of each. After speaking with the doctor, I felt completely confident to make an educated decision on what was best for my boys nose. Within 20m they had him under anesthesia, stitched up, and out the door. The cherry on top you ask? Super affordable, and accepts most pet insurance! Could you ask for more?! Thanks Brookside! ♥️

Best vet office around. I trust them with all my animals. A few years back my dog needed an emergency surgery and Dr. Penrod saved her life. I will forever come to this vet and recommend them to everyone.

I took my 6 year old border collie a couple weeks ago for an ear infection. Despite being early and willing to wait for our appointment time they got us in right away. I was surprised when my dog immediately calmed down when the doctor came in, and knew her name already. Everyone was very friendly, and answered all the questions or concerns I had. They gave me different treatment options, and let me decide which one I think would be best. Love the staff, and so glad I have found our forever vet!

Ive taken my dogs and cats here for over 2 years. All of the Dr.s are very knowledgeable and caring with my babies. My elderly cat gets UTIs frequently. Dr. Penrod has been so helpful taking care of her and noticing any patterns in her health history.

Amazing vet. They treat animals very well and don't try to push you into stuff that's not necessary!! Only doing and advising what is necessary!!

Brookside staff are the best! Dr. Painter immediately charmed my little guy and made me feel reassured about our options for prevention & treatment. Gave me a breakdown of charges and was honest about what was needed and what would could wait to be done. Also like that they communicate with our ER vet at Medvet in Sunset.

Edit: I am unable to call them anymore as it seems they have blocked my number. I will not be taking my dogs back again. I have gone here for years. Always been impressed, but I don't know what has happened with them recently. I've had multiple dog emergencies and they won't see me for weeks. My dog wasn't breathing normally and they said they could see her in 2 weeks. I ended up driving far down to the ER vet and her heart was failing. My other dog ended up with bronchitis and her throat almost closed, and they wouldn't see her for a week. And finally my 3rd dog ended up with parasites making her bleed when she went to the bathroom and they wouldn't see her for a week. So, I'm honestly so disappointed and I really loved my veterinarian here, but the ladies at the front desk are not helpful. I believe I'll be finding a new place.

Started at Brookside 12 yrs ago after rescuing my dog... Notice that since the retirement of Dr. Marcos and having to use other Vets it is more about how to run up the charges than it is about the care of the animal. Recently had dental cleaning normally just over $100 and blood work for my dog which ended up costing almost $500. They now appear to prey on your love of the pet to charge as much as possible for any service. Any recommendations on a good Vet???

If 0 that’s what I would rate it…… went for a dog attack called 15 min before they closed said if we come in they can treat him. Came in told us his vitals were good and said since they were closing, they wanted to send him to another hospital. They charged us for him being seen. But couldn’t stay open a little longer to do the stitches….. well then other vet hospital was 10 minutes away. Our dog stopped breathing and was in critical condition…….. they couldn’t stay open to help… this place isn’t for animals. How can you not treat an animal in pain and let us come there knowing they weren’t planning on doing anything. Go to another vet and his vitals aren’t good and has to do emergency surgery. Horrible place wasted 30 minutes total for no help

Our Maltese was acting extremely agitated, panting, pacing, etc. we called our regular vet and they could not fit her in. We tried several other vets and finally Borrett animal hospital recommended Brookside. I called and a very sweet employee said they could fit Gracie in that afternoon. I am one who does my research before taking my fur kids anywhere. I was concerned by some of the reviews I read about rude and inconsiderate staff but since we didn’t have any other options except the ER, and this was not life threatening, we decided to take the chance. My husband took Gracie in and was treated well by the staff. The vet, Dr Rachel Holman, did everything she could to find the source of Gracie’s discomfort but could not find anything. They rinsed out her ears to make sure there wasn’t something in there she couldn’t see and sent her home with some medication. The next morning Gracie was still acting strange so I called and they said to bring her right in and Dr Holman would do a light sedation so that she could get a better look in her eyes and mouth. So my husband took her in and couple hours later Dr. Holman called to let me know that she was not able to see anything and started asking some questions and she suggested that maybe it was allergies. This made a lot of sense because our little Gracie is a drama queen and I could see her acting like this if her throat tickled or maybe she had a ear itch or something. So the doctor gave her a shot and prescription. Gracie started acting better almost immediately. This second visit was on a Friday. And what impressed me the most was on Saturday afternoon I received a call from Dr. Holman herself asking how Gracie was doing. I’ve gone to a lot of vets over the years but I have never had one take the time to check back to see how any of my pets were doing after really just a simple little procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Holman at Brookside to anyone looking for a veterinarian who actually cares about your pet.

We had to put down our 20 yr old poodle ???? Chihuahua mix Friday it was the hardest thing we all had to go through but this whole hospital was absolutely amazing with compassion and service for our family and our beloved loofy. For the 290 dollars we spent we get a cedar urn with engravings and whatever else you want on it, a memory bottle with a lock of hair and a 5×7 doggy footprints card with poem and her paw print done on it. I honestly have never been treated better and it was a vet hospital. This place is where Togo when it's the last days or wanting to keep them healthy for longer lives!!!!

I believe that they are too expensive to fix a female cat. There is a vet in Clearfield that is only charging $50 because the free fix program is still not open to the public. They are very professional and nice to their customers though.

Very knowledgeable staff and way cheaper than I was expecting. My wife took one of our cats there because she was unwell and they took great care of her and made us and our cat feel a lot better. When our cat suffered a side effect from the medication I called them and they were kind and explained that she was having a normal side effect and again helped me to feel better. I will recommend this place to everyone!

Unfortunately we had to have our dog put to sleep. The staff was very kind and supportive during, the whole process. They made us 2 ceramic paw print keepsakes with our dogs name on it. Thank you for the kindness you showed us!

Vets and staff are amazing with animals

It’ll cost you 45 just to walk in the door, if you need xrays, another 105, if you want them to analyze the X-rays it’s another 42. Vet pricing is absurd and I won’t be going anywhere else but Ben lomond animal clinic from now on because they are honest and won’t rip you off like a used car salesman.
