THRIVE Affordable Vet Care - Fort Union Midvale, Utah

I'm having mixed feelings, please read. When it came to vaccinations, customer service, and the cost for the visit I would rate thrive 10/10. However, this last go around my dog was limping and it took me 4 weeks to get in to an appointment. Then once I finally got in, the vet himself didn't even do an examination at all. I was expecting him to at least look for wounds or see if there was a particular joint or muscle that was hurting my dog, maybe an xray? But all he did was prescribe doggy ibuprofen with no exam being done? Which I'd like to add the prescription I received, it took me going to 7 different pharmacies to find someone who could fill it. Chewy.com will fill them which worked in my scenario, but if your pets medication is time sensitive it might not be a reality for you, leading you to drive all around the valley in order to fill it. On top of this I pay for the thrive+ membership which should cover the cost of the visit and due to a change in policy they charged me for the visit.. actually they charged my ex's card on without consent and still sent me an additional invoice? As far as that was concerned It seemed like shady business. After all the hassle it honestly might be better to go to the vet I take my other dog too. It's more expensive but theres never been so many problems and they fill meds on the spot. We were being optimistic trying out a new vet for this guy and I just am left with mixed feelings. I would like to add the vet tec, and receptionist were wonderfull. 10/10 for them too.

Seriously the most kind and caring vet and staff. Our cat got sick out of nowhere and they were able to get us in promptly. Dr. Angel was very warm and caring throughout his visit. After they heard he was still not doing well, Ashley reached out to check in on him. They are so good about answering all our questions and getting us what we needed. Love them!

Dr. Gold is an expert in the veterinarian field. Save money and feel good after leaving this place.

A lot of this places charge prices that regular folk like me can't afford. My dog was dying of parvo virus and They would charge me at least $3000 to hospitalize him. I opt to treat him at home. Thanks to God he made it.

Doesn’t do payment plans. I originally had an appointment a month ago and didn’t have they money, So now a month later when I have the money they don’t feel comfortable doing my dogs surgery so I have no choice but to put her down. Go somewhere else if you aren’t some rich millionaire, I know it says “affordable” but you’d be surprised on how unwilling they are to work with you.

Amazing! Thank you for everything! Dr. Angel is quite literally an angel! Editing to say I’m still going today, 2 years later. Today I worked directly with Italy. She was amazing. Super friendly, understanding and caring of her patients. She dealt with me in a very kind manner even though I wasn’t the most pleasant initially. Thank you so much Italy. You rock.

Thrive Vet Care has been amazing to both of my dogs. Dr Angel treated Baby to diarrhea a year ago and most recently a thyroid issue. Baby has such beautiful fur again and she is super active again. It's so cute seeing Baby zoom around the house again ???? Swayze is their newest patient; Dr Angel recently removed some loose teeth she had and I'm sure Swayze is relieved from the pain. Swayze is still recovering, but she's recovering pretty fast! Understand that this is a very small vet center, so showing up or calling on the day you decide to bring your pet in might not be a guarantee to get seen. Schedule ahead or call and see if anyone has cancelled. Take your pet to the ER if Thrive can't see you and your pet, especially if it's something severe!!

I’ve experienced incredible service at Thrive. Jennifer, the vet tech, and Dr. Angel cared for Sparky in such a compassionate and warm manner helping him feel so safe and loved in their care. They were thorough, spending time with us, answering all my questions, running appropriate tests, etc. in order to put me at ease with all of my concerns. I highly recommend Thrive for your four-legged family members! Thank you for showing up fully for your patients!

Oh I'm sorry, regretfully we have no appointments...This was the response I got on Friday when I called to tell them my dog was having seizures and was DESPERATE for help. When our dog became a Thrive patient, I looked at reviews and really thought "man they care about pets"...THEY DON'T...I am not a person who even writes reviews but this could not not be said...even if it saves just one dog. We had to rush around trying to find a vet to treat a dog that was THEIR patient...We ended up losing the dog due to the time that had to lapse trying to find a vet to treat. To say that I am HEARTBROKEN is an understatement but more so was the feeling of ABSOLUTE helplessness given by Thrive Vet Care to a scared per owner. I would put NEGATIVE STARS but that is just not an option if you want to review this Vet clinic.

At first I was really happy with this location because I was able to get in quickly to get my cat vaccinated. I then called back to get my cat in due to her having some pain (unrelated to the vaccine) and what looked like inflammation. I called and they said they would call back 2 days later when the vet was in to schedule and appointment. They never called so I called them back and they said they would have to call me Monday because the vet wasn’t in still… that was over a week ago. I ended up calling a different vet. I don’t think their communication is great at all.

My Dog had injuries from snake or cactus or both! I called schedule and booked an appointment with billing by mail arrangements. These people wasted my time gas and money. Refused to look at my support animal . I have a disability of a un curable blood virus. And have to budget carefully on social security. Don’t go here.

Great crew inside, caring vets and vet techs. My only issue is their phone service, which, always seems tedious, and withheld.

My cat is pretty healthy and I just needed to get her routine vaccinations. Every other vet near me was scheduling at least a month out! Made my appointment online here (super easy) for the very next day. The staff was friendly and the whole appointment very affordable.

I brought my cat here and they treated my cat with the most respect it makes me feel good knowing my baby is gonna be cared for in the best way possible thanks to the amazing staff at thrive pet care it means alot

Calling there gets you a generic hotline where they can't give you any information. Just wanted to set me up with an appointment that will cost $35... And they can't even tell me if the Dr there can do what we need.

I've have taken a few of my animals here and will no longer be doing so. They do not even allow you to go back and see your animals with the doctors. Who knows what they are doing behind closed doors. The medication they give you will have dosage requirements but they will give you no way to provide the dosage to your animals leaving you not knowing how much of a substance to give your tiny seizing kitten. Overall I'd give this company 0 stars if I could. They will route you to a call center for any questions they don't even answer the phone on location.

This place is the most honest, caring, friendly and affordable vet we've ever used. We will NEVER go back to a standard vet again!

I came in to Thrive excited for some checkups for my cats. One came out foaming at the mouth, and when I asked why they said she was nauseous and carsick. She goes on car rides all the time and went to different vets 3 times before and never had a problem. Who knows what they did to her to make her like this. I was charged $35 for a checkup for my other cat that they didn’t even do. They said that “they couldn’t contain her.” They didn’t even let me go see her and comfort her. She came out bleeding, and they couldn’t explain how that happened. They are a vet clinic that doesn’t know how to handle animals that are afraid. They must have somehow hurt her, and they blamed her bleeding on the fact that she was stressed. I will never go to this clinic again.

I absolutely love this place. My 5mth old kitten caught an Upper Respiratory Infection from her mother and it took me that long to save up for her $35 visit (Best Check-up cost out there) and any medications I knew she was going to need. In that time it turned into an acute bacterial Infection ON TOP of the Respiratory Infection that caused minor corneal damage in one eye and required eye drops on top of her antibiotics x x! They were so understanding and patient. They totally worked with my very small budget, doing what was best for her in a range I could afford. I never felt disconnected or out of contact with my sweet girl despite the social distancing, because they talked to me every single step of they way. Please! If you have a low budget don't wait for higher cost care. Go here. They love your babies as much as you do. The Vet even gave me his card and said to call if she wasn't better by a certain time. Sorry. I'm just so happy I feel I'm gushing a bit. ☺️ She's just so much better, I mean just... Look at those beautiful eyes!!
